Stopped working within 6 weeks.
Actually was really happy with this and would have rated it five stars, except that it stopped working within six weeks of light use. I'm now noticing a lot of reviews here and elsewhere reporting similar, that the device ceased to work beyond a few weeks or months.

Rubbish
When I first got this it worked exactly as advertised, took 2 minutes to shave my head. After a while it slowly took longer to shave my head, also the motor started to spazam and cut out. I've now had it for 6 weeks and it takes 10 minutes to do my head and it dosnt hold its charge very long. I clean it after every use but that makes no difference at all. Complete waste of money. DO NOT BUY, UTTER RUBBISH.

Stopped working after 5 months
Kids gave it to me for Father's day. Worked like a treat until it decided that it will not start. Battery is on full charge but the product is dead. The kids did not keep the receipt and I did not keep the packaging, so I have no warranty papers to take it back to seller.

Just a bad product
Well the images is enough to tell the tale. I got heavy skin rash after first use itself. I have been using philips since 9 years and never had a problem.. saw rx5 on sale and thats where I made the mistake
Purchased in July 2021 for $90.

Excellent
I have been shaving my head for many years with various electric shavers. Overall this is the best yet. Not as close as a blade but with 5 heads better thany any previous shavers I have used.
And yes I also use it on my face. Best results if used daily (as advised by Remington) and the head rinsed after every use.
I find battery life between charging not as advertised but so what ?
Re charging every couple of days is not a chore.
And consider the price compared to some "regular" razors.

Works well.
I've had mine for over a year, it worked well in the beginning but slowly got worse ie -it took longer and longer to shave head, also didn't cut as well. The other day I used compressed air to clean blades, now it works like new again, blades were just blocked. You can buy compressed air in small cans everywhere.

Poorest shaver I have ever had
Purchased Dec 2022 from Big W from day one found it pulled the whiskers off a VERY uncomfortable shaver to use I had about 3 days growth was very disappointed have tried to use it on many occasions but each time the cutting speed was slower and more uncomfortable than my old 2 head Phillips shaver, now it has the stutters when you shave I would not recommend this shaver a very disappointing product

awesome machine
Have both the remington rapid cut and rapid cut turbo. Both are good shavers and recenlty purchased this one. Shaves close and have no problems with irritation etc as other people have experienced. Definatley reccomend. Easy to use, collects the hair and easy to maintain. Happy with the product. Will wait and see if remington have the spare parts for the actual foil cutting head.

Don't waste your money.
Before you consider buying this shaver go to Bunnings and buy a piece of sandpaper, rub it over your head and you will have some indication as to the benefits of this shaver. The sandpaper will give you as good a shave, and also give you the irritation on your scalp same as this shaver.
I find the finish of the shaving head to be inferior to other shavers. The heads are not as well finished as other shavers from the brand, being somewhat rough unlike other Remington shavers I have owned which have very a smooth finish and do not give the irrit...
Read moreation which you get from the Rx5. I purchased the Rx5 because I have had a great experience with a previous Remington shaver which unfortunately is a discontinued line, which I was seeking to replace. The Rx5 does not give a good shave either. It is claimed by Remington that it can be used wet or dry but if used dry it is very abrasive on the scalp so MUST be used wet, with shaving cream or some appropriate lubrication, if you want to lessen the shaving rash irritation. Even used wet it does not give a good shave. I have been using an electric shaver for many years so it is not that my scalp is new to the experience and other shavers have never given the irritation I experience with the Rx5 I could not in good conscience recommend this shaver based on my personal experience.Purchased in November 2022 at Harvey Norman.

Doesn't shave as close as a blade
Seems to take forever, but no I don't use it every day or every other day...would prefer to use a razor and get a much closer shave that doesn't need daily maintenance. I've used a standard 2 head shaver with better results in half the time. Wish I hadn't bothered....and that whole "as close as a blade.." is nonsense.

Best head shaver I have used
Just as described, shaves your head in 2 mins, Must be used every 2-3 days because if you leave it much longer than that it struggles but the description does say use every 1-2 day. It has a pop up trimmer, very small and pretty useless because of the width but the shaver size is small, it fits in your palm so making it bigger would not be an option . The best and fastest I have used, 5 cutters with a footpring prolly twice that of a face shaver, fits nicely in the hand. I have used it 10 times with no problem but once, I started it and ...
Read morethe shaver was stuttering but I washed the heads and all was good. Only thing I can gind on maybe a downside is the shaver head can not be dismantled to clean, it is supposed to be washed, that leads me to a worry of rust but being a remington I would asume its maetrials are built of better stuff.Find out how Remington Ultimate Series Rx5 Head Shaver HC7000AU compares to other Men's Hair Removal Products

Questions & Answers
Anybody know why my RX5 keeps pulsating when it touches my head.
It goes on and off very fast so need to take it of my head to get it to run smoothly
If you know what I mean.
Have I got a dud?
Mine does the same thing. Trying to find a replacement head online but no luck so far
I just received my second replacement ( so third shaver) and it does it from the word go! At least the others gave me a few weeks use. Seems like a faulty product to me
I’m on my second replacement and it stopped halfway through my shave and won’t go again second shave
with this one, looks like another trip to the shavershop
Battery life states 50 hrs use before recharge light comes on . I have had to recharge twice since purchased, after red light came on. Charge fully, even the initial charge of 4hrs as required, the red light comes on after 21 minutes (7x3 minute shaves). What is wrong with my battery and should I seek a refund or replacement. Thanks Mark
I'd say your experience is consistent with mine, I can probably get no more than 2 haircuts off a full battery, but I wish it only took me 3 minutes a shave.
How do i remove the cover when you want to clean the blades and remove hair?
