Took money without permission
I called them thinking they were the NRMA. They took my card details (me thinking they would charge after) and they charged straight away before anyone arrived. Finally arrived over 1.5hrs later, I realised they weren't NRMA but had to get home asap due to family tragedy. 4 days later they call up asking for more money, saying they undercharged me on the day and I need to pay more. This was never agreed to and they took they money from my card without permission. They have been so unhelpful, very rude, only offered excuses and then stopped any ...Read more
contact with me. Also the only invoice they sent was the 2nd one with the new price, I never even got the original invoice. Since then, Fair Trade NSW has advised me to make a formal complaint, which I have, so hopefully others don't get their money stolen from them as well.Similar opinion? Excellent customer service
Hi there a roadside worker came out to help me. He was in the Hurlstone Park Area. He was excellent friendly helpful. I had to pick my kids up and my battery was flat. He even got water and chocolate for my boys. I would just like to commend he is an asset to your organisation. His name is Alex G. Lovely genuine guy thank you!

They are dishonest to say the least.
Beware, they are NOT NRMA, they make you belive they are. They charge for services which they DID NOT provide. We broke down and called what we thought was the NRMA (been a member for 35 years). The operator said they had no record of our membership, so charged $199.00 for a tow. The tow truck did not artive after 1.5 hours, so we called again, but fortunately this time the NRMA, the towtruck arrived after 30 minutes and all was well. OK, we made the initial error of calling the wrong number, but they should have stated that they were NOT the NRMA. SO $199 down for a tow we never had. BEWARE, THEY ARE NOT THE NRMA.

Update to previous review........Dishonest, Misleading & No Service & STILL CHARGED
UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW......
Out of courtesy to the operator & the company i think, it is now only fair to provide an update on my previous comments about Roadside Response.
Almost week after my initial call to Roadside Response, i received call back from the same operator of the day. She was calling to inqure as to whether i had received a refund. (& about my feedback!) While she did apologise, she also wanted to defend her answers to me on the day of my call. I fully appreciate how difficult it can be to have to make such a cal...Read more
l, so for that she needs commending. She also attempted to call several other times over the following week or so, although i was working each time she called. While it did take a week, I have now been given a full refund, for which i am very grateful. Roadside Response have since made every reasonable effort to contact me to confirm i did receive the full refund. All I could perhaps suggest is that operators do make it perfectly clear in future who they actually are if & when they are asked. Simply repeating their name does not answer who they actually are. For much of the call i still assumed i was speaking with RAA Roadside Assist-not Roadside Response. Thank you for your efforts Roadside Response. I do appreciate it & am grateful for the full refund. Thank you also to the operator for constantly following up. BEWARE...BEWARE...BEWARE....BEWARE.....Called them thinking they were RAA Roadside Assist. My mistake-beware of who you are calling because they will simply mislead you. After asking countless times if they were RAA. Was told my call had been redirected to them! I suspected it could be battery. Was charged for $249 immediately. While on same call i finally twigged it was not RAA Roadside Assist, Despite the no. of times i actually asked the operator. i was then told i would get a refund-in a week or so. Asked for credit invoice to be emailed as by now i suspected she was lying about that too. Invoice shows i am not even being given a full refund? Still Charged for nothing? This is not the end of it. Operator continually gave dishonest & very misleading answers. I'm disgusted to think they have taken advantage of so many other innocent victims, as i have just read. Clearly I am not the only person they have conned. AVOID AT ALL COSTS is my advice. They are not honest. They are not reputable. They are not nice. Clearly their only intention is to take advantage of people while in a vulnerable predicament. Here's hoping they get their own back in 1 way or another....Similar opinion? Disappointing
Extremely disappointed with the service I received this morning. First off, believing that I had called RACV Roadside Assist (in my frazzled state) as this is the number that first comes up, I didn't even realise I had called a different company - granted, this is 100 per cent my fault. But at no time when I asked if she need my "member registered address" or "member number" had she enquired what I meant by this, as I clearly belonged to a club of some sort - again though, I put my hand up, my fault for calling the wrong number.
When I explain...Read more

Excellent service from start to finish!
Great value and speedy service! You’ll be done in a jiffy! We have a Mercedes E220 cdi 2013 model and we called a around several places for a quote. Roadside response is best value for us with 3yr warranty and 6mths complimentary road side assist. Our battery was replaced and working in a matter of 10mins!

Amazing and quick emergency roadside response
I was stranded on the Eastern Freeway in Melbourne after a tyre blowout, but my spare was at home. Josie from Roadside Response immediately organised for a mobile tyre repair van to attend. The wait was short, the repair was super-fast, and I was on my way again in next to no time. Couldn’t fault their service and have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Away for long trip and returned to a flat dead battery!
Looked at available companies to come and replace my cars’ dead battery.
The web search and looking at the reviews and the product they had helped narrow the search.
Tried 3 companies and RSR ticked the right boxes.
Joe the technician came by and did a quick clean swap over of the batteries.
Would use them again.
They do pre charge your card. Which I thought was fair.

Excellent service
I left my park lights on and drained the battery so i googled up a road side battery replacement company, I spoke to a young lady on the phone and asked if they could help me out she said not a problem. I payed for it and the gentleman came within an hour and a half as promised. I found both the receptionist and the service man were very friendly and professional in my dealings with them. I couldn't be more happy and would recommend them to anyone in the same situation as myself.

Stay away from 1800819315. Stick to RACV. It's bordering scam
I was in a hurry and my car failed to start. I forgot RACV's number and I searched for "racv car assist" on Google. They use Google Ad to appear at the top of search results. I thought it was RACV out of urgency. They took money out from my credit card before service is provided. It was carelessness on my part due to my situation and they exploited that.
They farmed off the job to some third party provider for a job right in the middle of CBD Melbourne. It needed them 60-90 mins to arrive! When I called the number again, phone operator's tone was "you're on your own buddy". If I want to cancel, it's $99.

Um no
Had a flat tyre, rang these guys, they look $120 out of my account and they called battery world to come out and fix my tyre. Asked battery world how much they would charge if we rang them directly - $65. No way I would ring these guys and get charged double for nothing.

Great Service
Like to thank Alex who took my call. She was proffesional and so helpful and got my wife sorted after needing her battery replaced. I had no idea it was a battery issue and the technician on site determined the problem in minutes. They didnt charge the service call and i paid $235 for a battery which even came with a 6 month free roadside assist. Keep doing what you do best. Thanks Team. Paul Henderson

Life Saver
I had a dead battery and they came out in the time they said. Changed the battery over in 10 minutes and I was on my way. Cold night stranded on top of a shopping centre so I found them to be lifesavers.

Took payment before service arrived
Took credit card details over the phone, (I shouldn't have but was running out of options on a sunday) partner was stuck in perth and we live rural. Took the payment before the mechanic arrived. Might not need a new battery maybe something came loose or something? They don't know! $320 for a possible call out and not new parts or something? Seems dishonest and sneaky. Not happy.

Worst service.
They make you believe you're talking to RACV. $99 for just battery jump start. They don't even have their own cars. They sent Melbourne batteries to do it for them. They came after 90 mins. Stay away from them.

Avoid and save your $89!
These guys took my $89 and didn't even send a mechanic, just battery instalker? He didn't know anything about the mechanic side of things I needed checked.
Also I asked this poor company if the car that comes out is marked "Roadside Response'. Answer was "yes".
I get a guy from a battery company sent out.
An absolute sham I'll be following with fair trading and fighting for a refund as I did not get the service I paid $89.
In calling this company back I get nothing but the excuses.
Save your $89 and do not use them!
If I could rate zero I would.
Please everyone reading this to see what they are like avoid and use RACV or RAC instead.
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!

My wife and I needed a tyre changed by an agreed time of 60 to 90 minutes. After two hours, nothing, so we cancelled and called the NRMA. We were told the cancellation fee was $66. The Company was reminded about the agreed parameter for performance to be be fit for purpose. Alex agreed to waive the charge. We were charged $100, for no service. My understanding is a service needs to performed, as contracted. Moreover, if a cancellation fee is applied, it needs to be at nominal percentage of the total fee for service.

This is fraud and theft by this company. From the reviews this is common practice with this company Roadside Response. They have no legal right to keep your money. They did not provide a good or a service or abide by the terms of the contract. This is all contrary to Australian Consumer Law. Put a complaint in to the Office of Fair Trading, the Ombudsman or your bank and you will get your money back. This company really needs to be exposed on A Current Affair or some other programme. A predatory dishonest company. So disgusted with them. Their customer service is trained to lie and talk over you in order to keep the stolen money.
