Life with an uncompromising flagship.
The Galaxy S9+ was not cheap when I bought it for full retail price back as it launched. after many months of usage. I can confidently say that the phone has proven to be a joy to own and use. It feels very premium and solid build quality is made apparent to you every time you hold your device without a case on. The oled screen this year has been better blended with the black bezels of the phone making for amazing blacks that blend seamlessly into the phone. The phone's display is astonishing with great colours, needlessly high resolution and h...Read more
dr support. If the colours aren't your thing, the phone's colour profile can easily be changed to provide a more accurate colour representation. Many people in the past have complained greatly about Samsung's bloated software, but anyone who has used a samsung phone would find it hard to argue such matters. Samsung has continued to improve on it's software skin (now samsung experience ui, formerly touchwiz) and delivers lag-free, smooth, snappy yet insightful experience whilst offering a range of genuinely useful features. The fingerprint sensor is the snappiest I've ever experienced and setup was very simple requiring only 1 swipe across the fingerprint reader. Intelligent unlock using facial and iris recognition is cool and works well at times. But trying to unlock it whilst on the move can be a challenge and I find myself reaching for the fingerprint reader during those times. The performance of the device is phenomenal, easily powering any, literally any app or task made for android to this date and with a spec sheet that easily beats any mid-range laptops from just a few years ago, should anything more demanding be made for android, it isn't absurd to expect that this phone could handle it. The music playing capability of this phone, although not as good as the v30 with a boosted quad dac, is more than good enough easily playing files with bit depth of 32bit with 96kHz frequency response (any mp3 file won't even come close to touching a fraction of that number). This phone is easily one of the best when if comes to playing music and blows iPhone out of the water with Apple just giving up on high quality music entirely. The Camera performance is better than great, providing crisp, clear photos effortlessly without any fiddling with any settings even in lower lighting conditions. The pro mode is great if you want to fine tune your camera experience and the super-slow-mo, although cool, just seems like a party trick and may be better to choose the standard slow motion mode (can be enabled in settings) especially indoors where the camera's framerate will catch the flickering of the lighting (no such issue with the sun), they did however give you the option to reduce flickering after the video was taken so that's cool too. The battery life is good enough, lasting me through the day and so is the fast charging. But I wouldn't complain if given a bigger battery and faster charging. Especially knowing that the note 7 actually introduced the 2nd generation of samsung's adaptive fast charging paired with a giant battery, it is quite disappointing to be getting a smaller battery and the slower first gen adaptive fast charging 3 phones down the line. Still, it charges adequately fast and lasts pretty long even with heavy use and I've had no issues with it. Overall, one of the best phones of 2018 and one to get with you want no compromises on any front.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

So easy to use wouldn't want any user phone
The camera is amazing no need to have a camera as my phone does just as good if a job. Battery lasts alot longer than other Samsung I've had. Have no problem any of the apps I've got downloaded. The S9+ makes everything easiler to use just like a phone should be.

Excellent phone, very happy with it
I am completely satisfied with the s9+. It has a large screen size, a long battery life and a good camera.
I upgraded from a Note 3, so it is a substantial improvement in speed and quality.
It took me a while to get used to the new version of Android, but it now seems intuitive.

Great Phone
Since upgrading to my s9+ i have been overly satisfied. The camera on the phone is on point even in the dark. The brightness can be set to auto adjust which will change the screens brightness automatically. I mainly use my phone for gaming and so far all my games runs smoothly with high graphic quality.

Simply the best. Love the camera.
Camera quality is awesome. I threw away my DSLR after I checked the quality of Samsung s9+. Slo-mo feature works really well even my Canon 70D DSLR doesn't give that.
It has all endless features you can imagine in smart phone.
I gonna buy another one very soon but with 256GB.

Terrible battery
bought this one as it was so hyped phone specially the camera, I didnt feel that great camera. Also it has terrible battery life, it says fast charging but the battery discharges fast too. Compared to my previous Huawei Ascend Mate 7 this cellphone's battery is terrible.
I dont recommend this cell at all.

Change from Apple and will never return
I had been contemplating this change for roughly 2 years...bit the bullet June this year and I'm so glad I did. The phone quality can not be compared to apple iPhone. The camera is honestly just as good as our professional cameras. Only annoying this is the curved face doesn't allow screen protectors to stick on for long periods of time. I have since changed it twice as it un-sticks. It's cheaper to continue changing the screen protector than cracking your screen....have been told it can cost up to $700 to replace the screen.
If it wasn't for the curved screen issue I would have rated this excellent! But overall it's an amazing phone!

Great Camera + Lag Free
I recently upgraded to the S9+ as part of Optus' 24 month leased plans, pretty dreamy getting a powerful phone for less than $5 per month with lots of calls, data and bonuses. But the real reason you're reading this is for my review and after moving from the S7 it's a big step up.
The camera on the + model is epic, it's just so clear and I reguarly get compliments when I whip it out at a party or gathering about how awesome the shots are. I actually really like the supervideos you can make, i.e. record for about 10 seconds and it will conve...Read more
rt it into a 1 second action shot. The biggest factor I'm pleased to see is the power this thing has, it's completely lag free which is something my S7 struggled to overcome especially with a 64GB micro SD rammed full of photos and the internal storage maxed out. My S9+ is going strong and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. P.S. Get a good case, I like the Spigen Armor.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great phone, better than my iphone
battery life gets me through the whole day, lightning fast, amazing display, can customise to work just like an iphone so not really that hard to adapt to. Camera is AMAZING oh and the water resistance is a big plus. Only downside is the design is a bit old (second generation) and samsung takes forever to push out updates

Good but buggy?
Mine seems buggy. Maybe I have a faulty one. I had to reset it 4 times and my mobile data keeps getting disconnected and i know it's not the service provider because my friends who is with same one is fine - different phone. Camera seemed great at the start but now it doesnt seem as good. Is it the upgrades like the iphone ? Not sure?

Amazing phone.
I love it. Really fast and is beautifully responsive. I also really like edge apps myself. Bixby as always is a bit bad but it can only improve right? Although I don't understand why they dont just leave it a t google assistant. The heart rate sensor is pretty neat and the cameras are too quality.

great phone
Used to be a Sony fan, but their battery failed me far too many times, and the camera couldn't make it. Bought the Samsung S9+. This would be my 4th Samsung mobile phone. Started with the S6, then 7edge, then 8+, and now 9+. Battery on the S6 sucked. Got rid of it within 6 months of purchase. The S9+ has great camera features. Battery was great in the initial stages. But as all the Samsung phones I've had, the battery starts deteriorating, in terms of battery life. I am very diligent in optimizing my phone, so I don't believe it's how I use it....Read more
There is also a tendency to stall/lag and freeze. The fingerprint recognition is in a stupid position, which makes you blur out the lens unintentionally. I hope they will improve on this. Being a gadget queen (this is my 3rd phone in 12 months), am keen to try out the Note 9. It's however too heavy for my liking. Shall play around with it when my friend gets hers delivered end of the month. Overall, I feel it is one of the best phones you can get at the moment.Similar opinion? Perfect Companion
Takes great pictures, and has a large capacity. Ability to use a microSD card to transfer media files to computer. Great size when traveling. Slim line with curve screen. Heaps of features. Still to learn all of the functions. All your information at your finger tips. I would be lost without.

Samsung S9 Plus (Big Phone!!!)
A bigger and best Android phone is Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus, 6.2-inch curved screen and low-light-defeating dual-lens camera.Photo quality is awesome. Though it looks similar to S8 Plus, but it does fix the fingerprint sensor location which is moved to back and make it very handy. The sound quality is great for both music as well as while taking calls in speaker mode.
Only thing it was kind of disappointing was missed white or silver color model as a options, otherwise I am pretty much happy with my sale since I bought.

Really happy so far
Excellent mobile. Dual stereo speaker, great camera, beveled screen, finger scanner, extended battery life, huge storage, Apps Edge, a card slot, and quality support from Samsung themselves.
Downfall 1: Bixby. I disabled the button completely as it wasn't something I ever intended to us. So this is fixable!
MASSIVE Downfall 2: Being forced to use notifications via google drop-down panel for text and messenger messages/emails. The absense of notification number badges has altered my entire experience using the phone. I no longer have unre...Read more

Apples best friend!!!
I have own a new model every 2 years, and every year since the launch of the iPhone 4s to iPhone 7s plus they were apple phones! This year round I decide to stop just buying a phone and actually save money on iClouds, subscription, etc and buy another brand. So I picked the samsung s9+ and was impressed of the quality put in too the phone. The battery life lasted me whole day and charging time was fast with fast charge in 1 hr! The multitasking ability were great and no laggy loading issues. The sizing and weight were good too and also the opt...Read more
ion for expanding the memory just iced the cake for me. I like the face and finger recognition ability plus the cool samsung health management feature where you can track your health from walking, running, heart beat, stress levels, caffeine intake, carbs and more, what a cool feature. I can say it was money well spent and alot cheaper than apple iPhone to buy. It you were thinking of trying a different brand mobile smartphone the s9+ is a good mobile device to do so.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love my new phone ...
The Samsung Galaxy S9+ is my complete organiser. I have all me contacts arranged in groups and find people at ease. I love how easy it is to get around between the apps. A powerful phone that gives me confidence that I am contactable whilst I look for work and my home security is organised. The only worry I have is the battery because it has to be changed out by the dealer, however I am hoping that will be two years down the track. Love the social media capability too and how easy it is to keep in touch with my friends now.

My screen has been cracked recently and there is also a black spot on the lcd now. The quick settings drop down menu is also now behaving erratically making the device almost unusable at times, I suspect this is because of the drop and broken screen. If it wasn't for the glitching menu thing I could live with the cracked screen as the phone functions fine otherwise. How much would it cost to replace screen if repaired through Samsung.
