Great xmas sales
The xmas sales at spotlight are amazing. shopped there for the first time in dec 2022 because I got a new king size bed. Saved several hundred dollars in bedding, pillows and duvet. Have been very satisfied so far with the quality of the products.

Misleading & inaccurate
There is VERY LITTLE cotton in this "CottonPolyester" fabric...you can tell by the shinyness & cold feel of the fabric.
I would estimate 10-20% maximum cotton content.! Thats why its so cheap! Not recommended . Would not buy again.

Poor online service
I ordered some towels for our wedding which confirmed were in stock online and would be with me within 3 - 5 business days. 5 business days later and no towels. 7 business days later and half my order turned up, with no explanation as to where the other half of my order was. ng me that the 3 - 5 business days is only a guide. Which I have to add does not state on the return email you get after purchase, it states will be with you in 3 - 5 business days. If my items are going to be late, that is fine, but tell me! 15 business days later and still my other half of the items had not turned up, on the 17th day from the date of ordering they appeared. I wrote an email to Spotlight Customer Service which sent me an auto reply confirming they would be in touch within 48 hours, we are now at 5 business days and still no reply from them. I love the products I have been sent and I am very happy with them, but Spotlight your online ordering and rude customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Take a look at your online reviews to understand that it is not a good service you are offering and you will loose customers as we can get our items elsewhere! don't buy
don't buy rylee or any of their day night blinds Made so cheaply only last 12 months when I rang to complain my blinds had split and torn from sun coming through window on them they wee no help at all because I hadn't kept receipt or my receipt had faded and couldn't be read even though I as vip customer and should of been on computer

Order not sent in full and incorrect items sent
Just took delivery of an order. Ordered 2 bath sheets, 3 hand towels and 1 bath mat. 1 bath sheet was missing and the bath mat was incorrect. Not sure who is picking their orders, maybe they need to learn to read first, can’t see it being a hard job?? Contacted customer care, they are not overly polite or apologetic. Their online business must be bleeding money given the other reviews on this site. Maybe they need to look at employing competent team members as a first step, and even better get afterpay in store.

Absolutely appalling service
Sceptical of curtains I had the made to measure consultant come over and propose options. Surprisingly it went well and I selected 2 curtains. This was in Early October 2022. It is now mid Feb 2020 and the curtains are still not installed as they are “so backed up with work”. I get busy times, but the communication is non-existent. It requires me to follow up the consultant, the installer and spotlight almost every week to see progress. Then a reluctant booking to install - but they don’t show up. Sardinia Stripe quilt cover set, single
I ordered this single quilt cover set just over a week ago. The set is 100% cotton and looks to be of reasonable quality.
HOWEVER, not anywhere was there advice that the quilt cover and the pillowcase are backed with plain white fabric, with the stripes on one side only. MOREOVER the photo on the front of the quilt pack shows what appears to be the reverse of the quilt in the same striped fabric, not plain white. Bad customer service by staff member
After trying several times to contact Clovercrest, SA by phone and could not get an answer I decided to drive there myself. I asked for help to locate an item in store and found it very difficult to find a staff member who was willing to help. One told me they did not stock it. Went to another staff member who directed me to the department but was not able to find it. Went to the front desk and spoke to someone there and told them I could not find the produce I was looking for and she was very abrupt, disrespectful, loud and rude to me ... making me feel very inadequate and humiliated. Totally unacceptable. Manners would not go astray!!!!

Hot tip: if you are in the Midland branch and are on your own, do not purchase large items!
Went to Spotlight Midland to purchase 5 items, 3 were a larger size. The only trolleys available were the small red ones with wheels so had to do a balancing act through the store. Two cashiers on with a long lineup, one was held up with a customer. One of my items did not have a barcode so after looking back at the line, I said to skip it. I found out then that I was not allowed to bring the trolley outside. A cashier offered to help but again long lineup, so I loaded up as best I could and took off. Oh boy, what an adventure. I never knew curtain shopping would be such a headache. Spotlight is ripe and ready for process improvement because they are highly inefficient and ineffective. ings. At least I got something of a refund... I was first recommended Spotlight by my parents to install curtains in my new apartment. I’m on a tight budget but really needed by new unit to provide me with a level of privacy. I have two sliding doors and one window, so I figured it wouldn’t be a big and expensive job. I arranged an appointment and the salesperson visited with all the samples and tape measures. I never knew there was so much to learn about curtains, but the salesperson made sure I learned everything. I was almost as enthusiastic as they were about curtains and fabrics by the end of it. I was offered a couple of discounts and given a quote. Hours later, I received a call from the salesperson and offered another discount. Amazing! The price was halved so I paid for the curtains in full. The order was put through and a few weeks later (it took a while to manufacture 2.5 sets of sheer curtains, two sets of blockout curtains and one roller blind) I had the installer visit to install everything. I didn’t anticipate the racist comments about how he prefers one suburb to another for reasons I won’t entertain here, but let’s say that as a lone woman I wanted him out of my unit as soon as possible. Very poor communication and service
My partner and I ordered curtains from spotlight, someone came out and measured up and told us 6 to 8 weeks would be ready, we waited 8 weeks no one called to update us on the progress, we called and found out it wasn't ready. So we waited longer, and tried calling with no one answer or getting back to us. Then we got told they would be ready be a certain date same thing happened we waited with no update we have been trying to call up and get our money back because we paid in full and extremely unhappy, we have been stuffed for months now was suppose to be installed before Christmas

Terrible service never using their online store again
I’ve been a long time customer of spotlights brick and mortar stores up until recently when I used their online store to make what I thought would’ve been a hassle free purchase. Contacted customer service to no real help and I’m still waiting to hear back after many days. Really disappointed.

Spotlight - FrameDepot poster frame - Dangerous glass
The product from Spotlight titled Poster Frame from FrameDepot, the glass is very thin and extremely dangerous.
I bought the product and when placing the poster backing board into position, the glass snapped leaving extremely fine glass fragments.

Spotlight Dubbo was great, now the pits
I use to love going to Dubbo Spotlight. The staff were great and overall a pleasurable experience. NOW! It is the pits. The staff are unhelpful, rude and I find offensive. I bought a doona cover on sale for $50. It was labeled king bed and I paid for king bed. Later when I went to put it on the king bed it just didn't fit. It didn't matter which way I turned it. it was a king bed size so I ask her to measure it, which she wouldn't. I gave her the docket and she pointed to the wrong item and said it was sold as a queen size. I pointed out to her that that was not the sizing abbreviation and showed her where it clearly showed the size being king bed. She raised her voice and accused me of raising my voice to which I stated I would record the conversation. Suddenly her voice lowered and another women came on the scene. The second women again refused to give a refund stating I could go and pick a new item. This didn't suit me at the time. Through out the conversation I had said I would take a store credit, eventually they agreed to a store credit which I can go back and use any time. Why did I have to go through this? Awful customer service do not waste your time
I made an online order 3 months ago. i am still waiting for all of the items from my order. Multiple phone calls every time i call it's like it's the first time that i have. Once they finally acknowledged that they hadn't sent all of my items, i thought this would be rectified, however they have now sent me the wrong items and although they advised they will now send out the correct one, they expect me to visit one of their stores to return the incorrect item. Emailed them a few times to make a complaint, no response. It's like they simply do not care that their service is terrible. Waste of time purchasing online which i thought would save me some hassle, just go to a store.
