Don't buy Westinghouse individual fridge and freezer .
Purchased the individual Westinghouse Fridge (WRB5004SA) and Freezer (WFB4204SA) with individual concierge warranties. The Fridge door will not open once closed - you have to wait for over a minute before you can open the door. The Freezer door is the opposite, it won't close unless you push it hard. Waiting 3 weeks for service and still no action.

Worst After Sales Service
The worst after sales service. Extremely rude staff. I had purchased a food processor a few months back from Good Guys and one of the jugs stopped working. The store staff checked for the defect and sent it for repair. I have called the store twice and spoke to their rude staff. They dont have an ETA, no one is willing to help and they dont want to check with the repairer for its status. The food processor being an essential item in the Kitchen we are without it for the last two weeks and dont know when it will be repaired. Would never recommend Good Guys to anyone specifically the Prospect Store

Warranty 3rd party bad
Brought a TV it blew up. The rude unshaven bloke that works there said I had to contact the manufacturer. Even when ACCC said the good guys are responsible to deal with warranty Not a 3rd party. Contacted TCL
For the 3rd time every time I rang it was like they forgot this was nearly 3 months ago haven't even received a sms ! So just shop online everyone it's easy and warranty is not a problem!
And don't have to deal with a bloke with a little problem.
Still waiting for my TV ! Should have brought a Samsung!

Staff very unhelpful, i have been in 4 times to store, number of phone call, still no help after 2 months.
went into Campbelltown (nsw) to get air con,10/01/2020 was talked into 3.5, it didn't do the job for small 3 bedroom house, had Panasonic come out to check, they told me that it is only for a bedroom, went into store, they said they would send a tech out to come see what size they should have sold, still not heard anything from them as i have been in to see them 4 time. Still nothing, so as far as service i don't think they know what that is.

Where is the service???
I go in there because It’s close to work and home. Plenty of staff but nearly every time they are just standing around chatting and will look at you but not approach. Very disappointing

Need staff
Good guys advertises extensively and often have decent deals. However, some stores have a serious lack of staff available to provide any service at all. The amount of times I have waited for service for help with the purchase of products is ridiculous. I will say this depends on the store. Frankston is not great for customer service and after waiting around for what felt like an eternity, we left. We went to the Dandenong store where we were served promptly and given time, information and real assistance. We bought a washing machine and very happy in the end.

If i can rate negative 1 I would!
Paid for an extended warrant before 15 March 2015! My television broke down and they have it collected on 27th February. Repair company said the panel needs to be replaced and the panel is no longer available. I was told they need to send a quotation to insurance for something that doesn't exist anymore okay.
Finally a bit of light at the end of the tunnel and was told that they are looking at replacing it. Then when I called the following day to follow-up they told me that they are still waiting for the manufacturer to replace it before the...Read more
store decides to replace it. Again, they need couple of days to do that! The amount of stress they will put you through before you can even avail of the service that you rightfully paid for is not really worth it. I am not purchasing anything from this store ever again!!!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

concierge is a con
Bought a fridge about february last year.
Paid for extended warranty and was offered three $20 vouchers a year.
Got the first one pretty promptly, the second only after several phone calls which included GG denying they had any responsibility for the scheme, now over a year and two reminders and no 3rd voucher.
We have practically furnished our house from GG, no more and lodging this, hope it hurts.

Needed a rice cooker, and the Good Guys store in Chadstone was listed as having it in stock. Paid online for click and collect, waited for notification that it was ready to be picked up then set out - without a car a long trek by bus on a public holiday, more than 90 minutes. When I got there it turned out the cooker was not ready - and after a long wait, discovered it was not even in stock. Customer service staff said the email notification that it was ready to be picked up was just an automated email and had no bearing on whether the item was...Read more
there or not. Staff tried to sell me a much larger rice cooker instead and didn't understand that I wanted the small one because it has a tiny minimum level of rice required, whereas larger cooker has a huge minimum that is a waste if you need to cook for one person. Incredible - to waste a customer's time like that, and to go out of your way to design a system that will anger customers and make them never ever go anywhere near the Good Guys again.Similar opinion? Zero stars
Just bought an Acer laptop with 8GB RAM for $729 from the Noarlunga Store. It struggled to load web pages on fast internet both at home and in store. My crusty old $400 laptop with 2GB RAM loads the same pages twice as fast. I brought the new laptop back for an exchange as it was not fit for purpose. The supercilious staff gave me looks that clearly they thought I'm an idiot.
They argued with me, even though they witnessed the page struggling to load. They then charged me a 10% restocking fee to return it, and tried to make me feel grateful that it wasn't 20%. I will be referring this to consumer affairs.

Fantastic Service
Arriving at the Good Guys Store in Bayswater we could see that they are very busy. We waited under 5 mins to be served and the woman was very helpful. We purchased 3 items and are very happy with the service and staff at the Bayswater store.

Terrible service at Hoppers
Absolutely terrible service! Staff have no idea about their stock. Ordered a laptop which they said online that they had it in stock only to find that upon arriving at the store that it wasn’t in stock. They asked me if I would like it ordered in and I said yes. Its been over a week now and they still don’t have it in store even though it only takes a max 2-5 days to ship to your front door. I don’t see how it would take longer to get to the store. Upon asking staff I did not get an apology, all I got was “you’ll just have to keep waiting”. Ter...Read more
rible customer service with staff who didn’t even know where they stored the laptops. Can 100% recommend to others to avoid this shamble of a store. What makes it worse is that they called me 10 minutes later to tell me they could give me the display unit for $5 cheaper if i wanted now. They then tried to sell me anti-virus software over the phone. What a joke of a storeSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Company should re-brand as The Terrible Guys
I purchased online a fry pan, nominated my sister name for picking up during paypay check out. My sister came (with paypal receipt which had transaction ID, order number, payment details and her ID) into their store at Bankstown to pick up, they refused to give it to her and cancel my order. What the heck!
Don't waste your time and money with this company, particularly in Bankstown area, they don't serve you, they don't pick up phone calls and when they do will cut you off anyway. Try it before you buy, their number is (02) 8713 5000.
And whe...Read more
n I visited their store an hour later after my sister left empty handed, a store manager named Emma is not only lie, lazy, but also have no idea how her company website works, the most terrible thing is she does NOT know her own company terms and conditions or should I say she never read or have read but fail to fully understand it. Her greatest achievement for her company was "I don't know what happened, who your sister talked to and why my staff cancel your order because I wasn't here, but they did the right thing". Honestly, I have no choice but look so down on her and laugh at TerribleGuys of their recruitment process. Protect your work mate is a good thing, but without knowing what they did to a customer and still decide to protect them and send customers away will send your company to "bankruptcy". TerribleGuys' executives, wake up guys, re-train your staff, tighten you recruitment process and starting looking at let go of bad ones. When I asked her to show me where is the option to put notes and nominate a collect person when choosing paypal option, proof her words of terms and conditions on their website, she refused and said I was rude. So, I said to her: I try to explain, you refuse to hear. I request you to proof it by showing on your company website, you refuse to do so. I requested you follow up or put feedback to your manager or head office you said they would not read it anyway and you tell me to do it. Really, what is your duty Emma?. I left with no choice but said this: "I normally pay 50% for the item and 50% for service. You don't deserve a cent from your terrible service."Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor customer service
I went to Nunawading store today. The store looks good but the customer service is poor. I was interested in buying new a coffee machine from them. Just want a opinion from the staff which is better.
I approached one of them and asked if she can assist me but instead of saying give me some time or I can see if someone else can help you, she refused straight away “ we are busy stacking up others” no sorry or anything else. Be polite guys, you not gonna win anything being arrogant. Better go to Dandenong store the staff there is very nice and good in closing deals.

Had to return a kettle that was faulty. Took it in to good guys Mornington with no reciept, knowing it was on their system, and they exchanged it immediately with no issue. Super friendly service everytime.

Concierge Service is a Scam
Have been waiting 4 weeks (to date) for a washing machine repair. Even though they promise ‘exceptional service’, they provide no service. It is exceptionally poor. Save your money! Go elsewhere.

Totally unreliable
We bought a stick vacuum 12 months ago and purchased the 3 yr Concierge Gold Service Extras membership for $55. The stick vacuum is wonderful but the Gold Service membership is a joke. The promise of VIP treatment offering special promotions including giveaways, competitions and invitations never happens and the promise of receiving 3 x $20 vouchers each year never happens unless you chase them up. Emails are not answered. Phone calls rectify the problem and the customer services team always use exactly the same word-for-word excuse as to why they do not send vouchers. Always technical problems that they are trying to fix !!!

Bought a Samsung tablet at the GG today.
Went for help with old tablet....which stopped working.
Was given bad advice and railroaded into purchasing new device .
My old tablet information was all down loaded without my permission.
Was never asked if l wanted to purchase.
I'm a pensioner ....and feel taken advantage of.....missinformed......railroaded....bullied....coerced into a purchase.....which l didn't need in the end .
This was a hard sell and borders on manipulation and deception to force a sale.
What can l do?

Thank you for ypur suggestions.
I went straight back to state my position .....Including how l felt railroaded....Infront of the store manager.
I was basically dismissed....On the grounds of encryption by samsung of the tablet....Of my name ownership and identity....Makies it impossible to return.
I politely explained how l felt whilst being railroaded ....And explained that it was not ok to take over...The way the sales person did.
To use my lack of technical knowledge. ...And help requiring inferior and vulneracle position....As well as failing to inform me of the cosequences if he went ahead with the transaction...... Or actually tell me that this is the point of no return...Or actually ask me if l want to go ahead with the purchase....Is railroading shoddy salesmanship.
This I would expect from a dodgy car salesman...But not from a reputable store ....Who call themselves
The good guys.
Is the information on encription actually true?
Has anyone else ever expeienced similar sales tactics?
Who could l contact above the floor manager.
I feel the young man needs to be educated......To stop this from happening to someone else.
