Excellent

Been buying various items from these guys and never had an issue up until my last purchase.
Contacted them through messenger got an instant response.
They asked for pictures of faulty items. Could only provide picture of one item as I was away for the week. Agreed to provide other pictures when I got back. By the time I returned home they had sent all replacements and they had arrived at my home.
Very impressed and I will be continuing to shop with this fantastic business.

Nice light bar and great service!

published

Bought a 20inch led light bar to replace my old one and it arrived much quicker than I expected. The product was well packed and works great, much brighter and insanely white! Cannot wait to buy again and a couple of my friends are already asking me where I bought it :)

Buyer beware. Not a fair seller.

published

I contacted VicOffroad and was told by an employee that 8 x 100 watt flexible solar panels would be ideal for my 40 amps requirement. Paid $880 for an electrician, $80 for Velcro and over $1330 for the panels. After 12 months in use found battery bank flat. Up to the roof, panels peeled, cracked, brittle and completely un-serviceable. When purchased in Dec 2016 no wiring warning in product description, (kind of strange you would purchase 8 x panels and wire them individually). After endless photos and correspondence, (sorry you cannot speak to owner [name removed], he’s out of the country) told sorry we cannot help you. Next step, off to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

200 w flexible solar panel

The panel promised 11.8amps of draw. I connected everything with 6 gauge cable and anderson plugs. in 36c temperature, cloud free day and at mid day the maximum draw was 5 amps.

Contacted Vicoffroad - they advised i would need to pay for shipping to return the item and then be charged a 20% Restocking fee!!!

Scam artists.

I contacted EBAY under the buyers guarantee and had it sent back for free and a full refund.

I, sincerely would not buy anything through this company. The products do not do what they are advertised and then VICOFFROAD refuse a full refund.

Never again.

Retraction of previous review

published

I recently expressed my dissatisfaction with both the performance of the LED spot/flood lights which I purchased from Vic OffRoad and the manner in which they dealt with - or didn't - my complaint. I have since been able to negotiate a mutually satisfactory resolution of the problem and consequently I wish to withdraw the complaint. I am still not overly impressed with the performance of the lights but Vic OffRoad were very helpful in arriving at a resolution.

Very disappointed

published

I purchased H4 180W 18000LM headlights from this company and within a short time the cooling fan failed causing it to turn off. After contacting this seller to describe this issue - that was under warranty - vicoffroad refused to warrant it or replace it. Vicoffroad is impossible to deal with. I would suggest another supplier to purchase from

200W Saronic Flexible Solar panel. Was installed on a boat. Solar panel burnt out in a number of places and done thousands of dollars worth of a damage to a million dollar boat. Message me for photos of the damaged panels and boat. After the solar panel purchase I am told that the panels can no longer be connected in parallel or even series.

Shane, if it is one of new tech, sardonic panels with the wiring behind the pv cells, then care needs to be taken. On the EBay listing for these,, no matter where you buy them, it says not to fix directly into any surface due to heat. That is probably right although if it was on a metal surface that surface might act like a heat sink and actually dissipate the heat that is generated. I also bout same panel, but in a frame with glass, is, same pv cells. The heat build up for them was tremendous too. In fact even though rated at 21.6 v the output was 22.5+ for a while then as the got hot dropped down to sub 21v. Had to return those panels too because many of the pv cells had cracks. This might have contributed to heat. Vicoffroad had no prob giving refund and paying for postage. But none of these people can inspect panels before they send to make sure they're OK. The panels are shipped from warehouse and the seller doesn't actually handle them.
Finally, be sure you don't void their warranty by connecting two together or gluing down. Read description very carefully.

Finally, be sure you don't void their warranty by connecting two together or gluing down. Read description very carefully. I had intended to see a light weight frame for the flexi panels I had and use them free standing, maybe with lightweight aluminium backing to give strength. Frankly, hard to recommend these panels with the issues and not being able to connect without voiding warranty.

Thanks for the reply I am mounting it to a aluminium hard top on a boat do you think this will be ok? I was hoping to silicone it directly to this. As the panel comes with no instructions I was unsure how to mount it. Cheers
