I never thought of buying a robot because it's not worth. Then one of my friends told me about vorwerk kobold. I went to godfreys crossroads to have a look. The gentlemen was very patient and demonstrateed to me. Literally it does everything..you don't have to worry about cleaning if u schedule the week. No noise at all, I can even sleep while it vacuums my 5 bedroom house. It goes underneath my bed and sofa ..the.filteration is good. Makes my life so easy!
This machine is a miracle. I run it every day & my carpet looks and feels soft and clean underfoot. Also, my tiled areas feel clean as well. My place has carpet (2 bdrm, dining, hall & lounge) & tiles (kitchen, bathroom & toilet). I have a cat and have not noticed any cat hair around. It had some issues with glass doors, but after I placed the magnetic strips in front, the machine hasn't missed a beat. I have noticed that there is alot less dust around as well. The waste bin is smallish; I clean it out every 2 days.
It is expensive, but comparing it to hiring a cleaner for 1 hr per day it pays itself off pretty fast.
I love it and it has become indispensable in my everyday life.

Its stock not going to the base to charge.
Suction okay. But always lost location stock the small brush in my carpet. And the tiles sometimes just lost stock. Cannot came back to the base to charge. Its just my first day too used it. And it has big flaws already. Always lowbat. Long hours been charge overnight but drain battery faster.

Very effective robot vacuum
Overview:
- I've owned the VR200 for approx 7 months
- I live in a three bedroom house, tiled throughout the living areas (carpeted bedrooms)
- I have a young English cocker spaniel that is constantly running in and out bringing in dirt and grass. He also sheds a lot of hair.
- I've only owned one other cheap eBay robot vacuum prior to this
Pros:
- 2 year warranty vs usual 1 year for most competitor vacuums
- Quality German product
- Great with dog hair

Not much bang for your buck!
I was attracted to this robot because of its laser mapping technology (as opposed to needing lighthouses with the irobot 880) after two days I soon realised the serious limitations of this unit. Slow, random, lacks power, short battery life, long charging (took 2 days to fully clean my house and even then it missed loads!) and this is compared to the irobot 980 which for the same price is much MUCH better! Took only 6 hours to clean the same space and only needed charge once in between.

Hi Charlotte,
We are sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with your machine.
Once they re-open the machine will need to be taken into your nearest Godfreys store to be booked in and inspected further for repairs.

Is there anyway of stopping it scratching the wooden floor? A bit disappointed as new floors have only been down 18 months and they're all scratched.
