Unpleasant experience purchasing a new car at westpoint.
They are dishonest and misleading to customers. They held the information before signing contract. Don’t want to see this to happen anyone again.

Great experience
Amanda and Mitch helped us through some issues we had at the beginning. Finally we are getting our new Hyundai Tucson. Thanks so much to both for your great customer service.

Appalling
Went for the last service under warranty. Asked for the GPS to be updated. When it was returned, the GPS unit not longer worked. They promised to replace it. After 22 phone calls and emails, most of which were not returned, we made a complaint in October to Hyundai Head Office to find out Head Office had authorised the replacement unit in August. Head Office contacted another Hyundai dealer on our behalf to install the unit for us as the service at Darra was so dreadful. Will never go back to Darra.

Biggest harassing company I've ever dealt with.
Had a recall on my Jeep and had it repaired at Westpoint Autos. Since then, I have received numerous phone calls, text messages, letters in the mail etc asking me to join their Jeep Sale parties, sell my Jeep and buy another. I have declined multiple times and asked even more times to remove my contact details from their system. For years they have been harassing me. It's been about 6 months since their last contact. I hope it's their last.

Great customer service
Ken from westpoint was very informative and made sure to follow up with us consistently without harrassing, he made buying a car a great experience and didnt make us feel pressured as other dealers did

Poor Customer Service
Unpleasant experience purchasing a new car through Westpoint Autos. Sales staff with- held information from us between models that had influenced us in purchasing the older model, only to find out from another car dealer the upgrades that Westpoint hadn't mentioned. They were more interested in getting rid of there old stock. Would not buy from them again!

Walked in to buy a car and did so.
Mackenzie Jackson met me and within a few hours I walked out with having seen the car that I would like to buy in a holding yard to be sure of the colour, a test drive and my payment. A few days later Mackenzie delivered the vehicle to my home and he was a wonderful person to deal with and there was never any pressure to buy. At all times I felt that I was getting a very good deal and have not regretted my purchase.

A good experience
I’ve just purchased a new Honda Jazz from Westpoint Honda. When I visited their showroom my intention was to see ‘what was on offer’ and then visit other showrooms before purchasing. However, on arrival at Westpoint Honda I was met by Snr sales consultant, Grant Perry. He accepted that I was just looking but, never the less, he was happy to take time to inform me re the features of differing models. At no time did I feel pressured to buy. Perhaps because I didn’t feel hassled I made the decision to purchase to purchase. What a relief to purchase a car without the stress normally present.
Thanks Grant. I appreciated your quiet, professional approach.

Predatory sales tactics - shop elsewhere for your vehicle
I purchased a new Hyundai at the end of April, and traded in my other vehicle. Was offered $3500 for my trade in. On the day of collecting the vehicle, I'd arranged with the sales rep to come at a specific time to enable me to get to the Gold Coast airport to pick up a friend and have an afternoon beach side on a Friday afternoon prior to a long weekend.
Upon arrival, I was told that there was an issue with my trade in, and the finance manager would discuss with me in 5 minutes. 40 minutes later I was still waiting, with the sales staff not w...Read more

Westpoint Autos - Darra 2011 Ford Focus purchased 2nd Service in cost me over $2.5K????
Purchased a 2011 Ford Focus Feb 2017, 2nd service Feb 2018 estimated amount $250 - $300. After service completed they took my car for a test drive it ended up being towed back to the workshop due to a snapped drive belt. 1 week later and with a bill of $2.5k as a whole new engine was required due to extensive damage, would have been more if my warrenty hadn't covered 1k of it. Had to take it back a month later due to ongoing issues at a cost to me, only to be told I need to take my car to a Ford dealership as they are not able to fix one error: constantly failing on Power Steering assist... an issue that has only occurred since new engine installed. Not a happy consumer

Worse Service Department
Unfriendly, unhelpful service department. Ok to buy your vehicle from....but don't use the service department. Don't know the actual meaning of 'service.' I dread going there.

Hyundai service review
The sales process was smooth, quite professional, I would say... but over the life of owning the car, I found the service to be very disapoointing..
The service is inconsistent, unethical and most of all, suffers from poor quality of workmanship. They will not put in labour to rectify something under warranty.. but will lie and cheat to get you to pay within warranty.

hile various problems kept recurring all through for several years under warranty. Apparently, software updates were applied but went unresolved for 5 years. 2 : Recommended replacement of a battery. Still working perfectly fine 5 months after 3 : Was adviced to regas the air conditioning with the service report feedback saying it was under performing. I differed for next service. I found absolutely no problem over the summer months with a loaded car. Interestingly, it was not brought up as an issue the next service and the next. Hmm.. 4 : Asked to replace the brake pads - I differed it for that service. Again it ceased to be an issue by their own service people -though I brought it up during the next service booking inputs. The list actually is longer but I will stop here. I wish I had checked the feedback from others on the forum before I bought my car from Westpoint Autos. Simple advice.. The service centre do not have any work ethics.. so get your car serviced there only at your risk or if you love to splurge some spare cash on them.Similar opinion? Avoid at all costs - dodgy service centre
Very excited when I first purchased my Hyundai, now it's become a nightmare - NEVER buying Hyundai again. There is a lack of communication from the service department on so many levels. At my 2nd major service I was told auto fluid needed replacing as gritty and my pollen filter was dirty and cracked. I questioned both as car was only 2 yrs old and have never had these issues in other cars before. I accepted the fluid to be changed but refused the pollen filter to be replaced at a cost of $250. Then at my next service just last month which...Read more
was supposed to be the 40,000km service or 3 years they actually did the 60,000km service as they've managed to get my service book out of sync, apparently their warranty/servicing begins when the car is delivered to the dealership (June 2014) not when you purchase it (Jan 2015), so I'm always 6 months out of sync by the Kms. But this time they found a major fault after they finished the service (no mention that the pollen filter was cracked like last time ??). Now my car needs a new engine (metal shavings found in oil sump due to crank bearing issue ?? I googled it apparently known issue in the States for that particular engine build but no recall by Hyundai), luckily being fixed under warranty. After several weeks with no contact from the service department apart from a couple of calls I made to find out what was happening I finally get a message left to say car is ready, no one tried calling me back to actually speak with me and make sure I got the message on the day (which I didn't). Picked up the car the following day, found that my fuel tank which was full when dropped off was now only 1/4 tank, the car had been driven 200km while at the service department and the back seats were fully occupied as the middle passenger set belt was left in the locked position which we never use. On top of that I decided to check my go via account and found a toll charge over the weekend (late Saturday afternoon in a far Brisbane south area) before I picked the car up. What's even worse is that the radiator coolant now leaks - I dread having to deal with them again - I don't care about my extended warranty and am never going back to Westpoint Autos Indoorpilly service department - Warning stay away.Similar opinion? Really bad buying experience
My brother bought a car from this dealer recently. He is young and looks even younger than that. When he went there to take a test drive/enquire about the model he was interested in, his experience was not so good. They had already judged that he was there to waste their time. Finally, when they understood that he was a genuine buyer, the approach completely changed.
It doesn’t end there. When he was enquiring about the finance options, he was treated as if he just came out of school (keep in mind that he is an engineering graduate working ...Read more
for a MNC in Brisbane). They did not want to tell him what the comparison rate was. When asked why they did not want to reveal it, the person's reply was that they were not a banking institution to have a comparison rate. Are you kidding me? It doesn’t end there; his only condition was he wanted the car to be delivered on a Saturday so that his family (us) who live interstate can be there with him when the car was being delivered. He was at the dealership the previous weekend. Guess what, on Thursday he was informed that the earliest they could do was Monday afternoon. All of this has completely ruined his first car buying experience. Now I regret asking him to get a Hyundai! Just sharing our bad experience so that others can take an informed decision.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Sneaky Thieves
I bought a car through Carconnect who sourced my "brand new Jeep Wrangler" through Westpoint Autos. What they delivered was a demo model that I'd agreed to pay full price for. There was 320kms on the odometer, white marks all over the interior, splashes of something on the inside of the doors, hair in the back seat, spillage in the boot, a floor mat missing, someones phone already programmed into the blue tooth, scratches all around the ignition etc etc. The salesman feigned ignorance, he was "so embarrassed" so he called the manager who then o...Read more
ffered me $500. $1 for every km plus "a little bit more". I told him to take it back. I was so excited then so damned disappointed all in the one day and disgusted at how it was all handled. I'm stuck with this car now as it's under the contract I had signed and Stratton said there was nothing I could do about it. Don't ever buy from these thieves! They'll charge for a brand new car and deliver a demo.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very poor service.
We have had nothing but bad after sale service. When talking about our needs as a business for our new fleet of cars we went over all our requirements for each car. Since our purchase we have had wrong floor mats, reflector light cover on front door fall off, reverse camera issues (on one car), detailing issues on another car and on our Amarok which they knew was towing a caravan and they suggested adding an LED load box for this purpose, did not have electric brakes added even though we had stipulated that we wanted this. So we can't tow a tra...Read more
iler with pallets as was the purpose or on weekends a caravan. An expensive ute that will now cost us more. We chose Westpoint as they were our local dealer but will not use them again as on contacting Mark, our salesman were told this was our mistake as it was not down on the contract which lists Towbar and wiring(which as it was more than we had previously paid for a braked system tower assumed that was braked). We went through time and time again what was needed, our previous ute that was traded in at the dealership had electric brakes and we stipulated we wanted it set up exactly the same. A big oversight and extras added that if I was adding them would have questioned why electric brakes were not being attached. We will be going elsewhere in the future.Similar opinion?
