Beware buyer - here we go again Williams-Sonoma..
I have purchased twice with W&S first time was fine, turned up on time, no injuries with delivery & packaging.
So I did it again and the dramas began.. they had to have a couple of things on back order, well I have now just sent my 6th email reply to them because they keep charging me for these items and telling me they have JUST arrived back in stock. Even after giving them the precise date monies have already been taken out they keep recharging me for these times - how many of the same bundt tins can one person need.

only overseas online that can suck BUT Australian companies & their ill trained lazy staff are a huge pain in the neck- if you doubt this just walk into a Myer store and try to get some intelligent service from staff under 50yrs old. Will have to contact the bank today and get them locked out of my account - LAZY have created MORE work for me.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Inventory Control Embarrassingly Poor & Customer Service Lousy
My original order was placed on 5 June 2018 for some pots/pans and cutlery. The Greenpan set and additional 28cm wok arrived about 2-3 weeks later and are pretty good. However, the wok came without a lid and with none available through WS, I ended up getting a Scanpan domed lid from Kitchen Warehouse on-line - delivered in 3 working days.
At the end of June I was advised by WS that the cutlery (still on backorder) would be in warehouse on 9 July, so the week before I called up to make sure that it was on track for delivery and ordered an ...Read more
additional third set of cutlery because I currently am surviving with a few odd bits of cutlery from Coles. Then in the space of 24 hours I was given 4 in-warehouse arrival dates - 3 verbally from [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed] and an email on the first order with dates ranging from 12 July to 27 August. So my conclusion is that WS have no clue about their inventory management! On my second order they never even bothered to advise of a change of delivery. After insisting on the phone that I get a call from a manager, I finally receive a voicemail from [name removed] who called me after 8pm on Friday 13 July from the USA. Her voicemail completely missed the reason for me wanting to speak with her and offered no additional compensation for my troubles. I have since asked twice for a call from [name removed] (the manager) with no response! So, I cancelled the order with WS and placed an order with Peter's of Kensington late on Thursday 12 July. What a difference! The following morning P of K called me to verify the delivery address and confirm that it would be despatched that day (Friday). On Monday, I receive an email to expect the parcel delivery on Tuesday. So the moral of this story do not use William Sonoma - their competitors understand their inventory, the importance of customer service and deliver quickly and efficiently!Similar opinion? NEVER ORDER ONLINE! OR NEVER SHOP AT ALL!!!
I ordered a few things online about four times in the last couple of years. First time, it never showed up after over a month. I had to keep chasing up and ended up cancelling it. Second time, the good was very poor quality. I had to chuck it. Third time, they sent me cheap plastics though the description on the website indicates it's porcelain. Last time which was a few days ago...I ordered 8 blue plates and received 8 white plates with cracks and bubbles on every single plate!! The customer service said they would send DHL to pick them up but...Read more
said they don't know when that would happen. I was furious and couldn't just wait forever since I was moving houses soon. I showed them pictures of the plates with horrible cracks (let's forget about the colour for now) and asked if they could refund me for at least 3 plates. The total amount for 3 plates was about $45 and they said they can only refund me maximum $35. I don't even know where to begin. I think they are just sending whatever is rotting in their warehouse to customers and refused to deal with the complaints after. Are they like this in America too? or are they this horrible only in Australia? Now this brand is like a nightmare to me. I don't know why I kept giving it another chance.Similar opinion? Never Order Online
I ordered almost 2 weeks ago online. Nothing was ever delivered. Delivery was never attempted. You can't track you package either. I finally called after my emails not being responded to and had to wait 30 minutes for my call to be answered only to then be told DHL attempted delivery twice. I was home both of the days of "attempted" delivery and no one called or buzzed my apartment. I have final requested a refund as the items were going to be a further 3 days before delivery. Terrible terrible customer service. I won't ever order again with William Sonoma

Never order online with them again
I have placed my order online on 13 May and to date (20 Dec) I still haven't received my order but one out of 5 items which they claimed to be out of stock showed up on my door step last Saturday. They have charged other 3 items on my card on 9 Dec with my order status changed to fulfilled but nothing has happened since.
Email response is rather slow and no luck with calling customer service altogether. I have called 4-5 times to follow up on my order and was waiting on the line between 10-20 minutes and no one has picked up my call.
Emailed to cancel my order and hopefully they will refund me accordingly. I just want to get over this. Worst online shopping experience ever.

Unique online experience (but not in a good way)
I made two orders, one on 6 May and another on 11 May and got a confirmation email. I emailed customer support on 7 Mayember with a question about my first order and that took one week for a reply. Meanwhile, my two orders are pending approval which didn't happen until 17 Mayember, oh...how nice you approved my order...so now its pending fulfilment (aka shipping)...so on 20 Mayember I get an email to say my order has been fulfilled and delivery would take about 5-7 days....today..being 23 Mayember...i arrive home from work to see two boxes in...Read more
plain sight on my door step...i guess I am lucky that $700 worth of knives sitting on my door step were still there when I got home....by comparison I purchased items from other websites within Australia and overseas with emails letting me know that the items were shipping within 2 days from my order.....each of those orders provide tracking details letting me know when to expect the delivery.....so Williams-Sonoma...perhaps get a clue on online ordering and engaging couriers who have some sense not leave valuable items for all to see (and possibly take)...and for potential customers reading this review.....I think you can probably source your items elsewhere from reliable online retailersSimilar opinion? Turned up in 3 days and good quality!
There are so many negative reviews on here that I thought I would take the time to write a positive one. I ordered from Williams-Sonoma Australia and the product turned up in 3 days. I was very impressed with the length of time it took, and though I haven't opened the packaging for the actual product as it's for my dad for Christmas (I've only opened the box it came in), it seems like it arrived in one piece and looks to be great. I had a great experience with ordering from them. I am excited to see the quality when dad actually uses the product and hopefully it holds up to expectations.

no customer service
wish l had read reviews before ordering
take your order and money, the customer has to chase them for delivery, you then get an email advising they cant fulfill it even though items are still listed as available on their site
then to top it off they advise you won't be charged for the items you didn't receive, ar they SERIOUS?
will not shop or recommend them to anyone

Poor Quality and Appalling Customer Service Delays
Three orders, three problems and so far zero resolutions. They take 2 weeks to reply to emails and still no solutions. Avoid ordering from them if you want a positive experience.

Beware of ordering online
I've learnt my lesson - just go to the physical store if you want to buy anything. The retail staff in the stores are great but the online store is the worst I've ever experienced. They took over a week after I'd paid to confirm my online order and after waiting another month I had to call them three times, and was given the run-around by every customer service person I spoke with (and incorrect information was given on two occasions). I have never encountered such evasive and unhelpful behaviour. Consider yourself warned.

On-line delivery is a joke
As i was overseas I purchased my signature Xmas gift online instead of instore. I spent over $1500.00 and was advised fulfillment would be a few days and then delivery within a week. It has now been three weeks since I got an email stating my items were to be delivered and nothing. I have called 11 times and they keep fobbing it of on DHL (which by the way is 25 minutes away from my house) and nothing. I keep getting told a different story by each customer service rep. No one takes ownership and being constantly lied too is very wearing. I will NEVER order one line again.

Misleading Online Information!!!
I ordered a set of knives since early May, and when I ordered, it stated on their website that the stock will be available in mid September. I decided to wait since I could get it at a 20% discount. It never seemed available. However, before MOthers' Day, the item was available again online. I was hoping to receive it but again no news. Since then they don't have stock available. Every few weeks, their date for the availability of stock just got pushed back further. It has been 5 months since my order and they still do not have stock. I wrote ...Read more
to their customer service, telling them that if they are out of stock, they should not have even posted it online to sell. Their reply was I have not been billed for my item, and I can cancel my order. If I wanted to cancel my order, would I have waited this long? I have ordered many times from them. Even when my expensive baking pans came with slight scratches, I did not make a fuss. However, this is getting ridiculous with their delay in their availability in stock. I will NOT order from them anymore.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Terrible customer service
Have been waiting 8 weeks to settle an issue with a faulty product. They keep writing to me saying that management will contact me but they never do. Fair trading is next. Very sad as I used to love this store :-(

No customer service!
I ordered items a week ago - they should have been shipped within 2 business days (according to their website), but my order is still 'pending fulfillment'. I sent 2 emails to their customer service address with no response, eventually had to phone this morning. Got fed about why my order has not been shipped and could get no confirmation from the person on the other end of the phone as to when this might happen - another department apparently - so I asked for the order to be cancelled - which was also another department! - so absolutely no help at all! So I'm stuck in limbo totally at their mercy - but of course they've charged my credit card!!. I am furious!!!

You will wish you hadn't bothered with Williams Sonoma.
You order something, then they say it's unavailable and it goes on back order indefinitely. No communication.
They will also ship you items with DHL on a 9-5 service. So if you work put in for time off now so you can drive to their depot because they don't drop at post offices. Convenient for no one.

Why would you shop online at Williams-Sonoma Australia.Sydney
I emailed an enquiry as to the postage costs to Victoria on a particular item (value $80).
this was their reply "You would have to place your order on line to see what the shipping would be for your postal code"
I replied that I was not prepared to go to the trouble of registering, which was a requirement, and purchasing without knowing postage costs, I complained; this is their reply "I am sorry but I can not do a test order to find out what the shipping is in Australia"
I replied indicating that I would purchase elsewhere, for a new business from the USA, I do not see a future for then here with that attitude.

Very poor returns service
I ordered an expensive ($400) copper saucepan. When it arrived it was faulty. The item was a special birthday gift and, even though I reported the fault four days before the birthday, Williams-Sonoma were unwilling/unable to rush one out to me (Australia Post Express can deliver overnight, so there is really no excuse).
Instead I was told by a customer service operator that I would have to give the faulty saucepan as a gift and pay $400 for another saucepan to be shipped to me, then return the first one. I agreed to this because I basically...Read more
had no choice. I received a new saucepan several days later. The operator promised to ring me the following week to arrange a courier pickup for the faulty saucepan. I didn't receive a call, and several weeks later I still have a faulty saucepan and Williams-Sonoma still have my second lot of $400. I've emailed several times to try to arrange this but I just can't get anywhere and I am annoyed at all the time I have wasted on this (and that I had to give a faulty gift for a birthday!). Williams-Sonoma did give me a10% discount on the purchase of the replacement saucepan but this is not really good enough and I doubt if I would shop with them again, certainly not for an expensive item, as they are clearly not set up to deal with the returns process appropriately. Good product range Unfair replacement policy and lack of communicationSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
