Very good but sometimes unreliable

We actually love the system but it has a tendency to be unreliable at times. It was installed by your people. We had a repair man around who came back about 3 times replaced quite a lot of parts just in the warranty period, came back to check it about a week ago said it had, had a fault on it and would change a part but it was now out of warranty, I phoned the office and explained the situation, the lady said she would contact the manager, but as yet we haven't heard anything. The unit is still working though.



Purchased in November 2021 at Harvey Norman for $3,000.00.

it gets used ALL the time! Only once had to call for service - it required a new solenoid. Had it three years now. Tells you when to replace filter. Great to use boiling water for quickly rinsing knives etc that are used frequently.

Great solution to our apartment hot water issues

We were experience long delays receiving hot water to our kitchen. A serious waste of water and a constant frustration. Zip tap has been an excellent solution. Instant hot water is great and saves water. Chilled water is also a useful feature. Good looking tap well installed by zip technician. Follow up service has been very professional.

Purchased in August 2021 at Winning Appliances for $3,600.00.

Streamlined my kitchen!

I selected the ZIP tap for my recent home renovations. For many years I had used them in offices and found them functional and efficient. I certainly achieved what I was creating, a streamlined kitchen. No electric jugs and their unsightly cords! Absolutely instant hot water everytime.

Should have got this sooner!

Yes it’s on the expensive side but MAN is this an awesome product!
Boiling water and chilled water instantly!

No more boiling kettles when guests are over and refilling the jug... so much quicker and looks amazing and neat on the kitchen bench!
Water is chilled also which is great!

Hopeless customer service

Large cold/boiling unit for office 130 people not working - called customer service and I have to chase them to make sure the job is booked in and oh - takes 2 days to get anyone. BTW the unit is still under warranty - so not old. Find this level of service unacceptable.

This is my 2nd Zip tap.And it leaks again for a second time. It was only 6 years old. The last one leaked 3 times in a 5 year period too. Ring the 1800 number is so time consuming as it leaves you hanging for more than 5 minutes or so.
It is so convenient but so unreliable . The price of a unit is not cheap either.
Disappointing.

Great tap

Excellent decision on installing an instant hot water tap. Saves lots of time. Holds a huge 2.5lt of boiling water. Safety 2-button design is excellent for when there's kids in the house. Filters last approx 12 months and we use this tap numerous times a day. Definitely worth the initial outlay.

Disappointed

I have had exactly the same problem. Zip Came to fix it and the smell was only slightly better. Zip guy said he couldn't do anything else. We didn't use for a couple of weeks and yes it's back again and the plastic smell is very strong. Also the machine it's self gives off a very chemical smell.

Taste in water

The miniboil still tastes of plastic or maybe silicon.
I have had numerous service calls and nobody knows how to fix this problem, even saying there is nothing more they can do.
The miniboil was installed in 2015 and we only use the water to wash the dishes.
We cannot use the boiling water to make tea as the taste is awful.
The children have allergies and cannot drink from this due to the plastic taste,
We cannot use this water for anyone to drink.
It is a total waste of money
I would not recommend this product .

I have an Elite unit. It's stopped dispensing hot water. Still dispenses the ambient water. I can hear it heating up. The red light is constantly on but when I press the safety button & the boiling water button nothing comes out. I tried switching off for 5mins but still the same issue. Any help?

Thank you for your question can you please switch off the unit from the PowerPoint for 5 minutes, then turn the unit back on. Hi. we have just installed a Zip Boling and chilled water tap. A few questions. The menu screen when it first starts is blurry with lines through it, then it becomes clear after a few seconds. The boiling water starts out slow the speeds up and the chilled water really isn't that cold although it's set to the lowest settings. The tap also "gargles" (like a bubbling sound) through out the day. Any ideas/suggestions on why any of the above is occurring?

I have changed my filter and barely any water came through the filter flush. The tap works for a while then stops. If I power down it starts working again for a while but stops again. Any ideas please?
The quality of the newer Zip Taps is awful, nowhere near as good as the original classic style. Noisy unit and awful sensor operation. Big mistake buying this style
