Total thieves and scammers - DO NOT USE
Booked a flight in 2022, had to put it in credit due to COVID. Amount of credit almost $1000. Can't use it because they try to scam you with ridiculous "rebooking" fees and tell you that new flights cost double what you paid for, despite being able to see yourself that new flights actually cost half of what you paid for. Customer service reps are based in Philipines and simply repeat sentences they are told to repeat over and over - they will also hang up on you multiple times so you waste hours.
Referred to ACCC for investigation of fraudulent and misleading practices.
DO NOT BOOK TRAVEL WITH THIS COMPANY. They are thieves, liars and scammers.

I booked three tickets through Aunt betty including my kid's in 2020 December on a Malaysian airline. But I couldn't travel because of covid restrictions. That was not my fault. Then they credited my tickets two times until 2023. They said I should complete the travel by January 15th. Then call them to rebook the tickets. Then found only my tickets for the business class only. For that, I have to pay extra 8000 Australian dollars. I requested for refund and they said as per Malaysian airline policy not allowed that. Don’t use this company! Had to pay an additional $6000 for flights because their ticketing system messed up and didn’t issue 2 of our tickets. It strangely issued a child ticket though.

We booked flights to Malaysia in April 2020, then Covid hit and all flights were cancelled. Because we booked with a third party, Malaysian Airlines provided a flight voucher. Fast forward to August 2022, we tried to use the flight voucher. We phoned Aunt Betty around 6 times trying to book, each time I was told there were no flights booked, no record of us trying to book flights, yes they would book the flights, we would get notification in 10 days. We purchased tickets to China for my in-laws from Melbourne to Shanghai with transit via Auckland in October but prior to flying after calling the carrier to discuss luggage transfer we were told that the passengers were not allowed to board as Chinese Govermebt required 2 PCR tests 48 hours prior to entry into China from the last country I. Many phone calls ensued and it wasn’t until I made a direct call to China Eastern where I found out that Aunt Betty had not sent any email to them so my in laws had been considered a no show. Aunt Betty can’t be trusted under any circumstances as their agents simply lie and do not take any action and although promise to escalate the matter they never do so. I’m sure many people have purchased tickets through the. With no issues but it’s eve. Issues arise that Aunt Betty go to water and refuse to escalate the issue to the risk management team at Flight Centre. The moral of the story is do not use Aunt Betty, BYO Jet or Flight Centre as they lack the basic customer service ethos that is fundamental in the travel industry.
Never use Aunt Betty!
Purchase my flights through Aunt Betty. Wanted to confirm my booking and complete online check-in for my flights, but I was unable to use the online portal, rang Aunt Betty and was on wait for over an hour and was informed that they just book flights and do not confirm anything, it was bad luck, just wait until 48 hours to see if your flight is going ahead. Worst service ever. Do not use them, it is not worth the frustration you will encounter.
Utterly frustrating and punitive
After nearly finalising my booking 5 minutes earlier I came back to the page to complete it. I did not realise that the date of my booking had been changed until after payment completely. I immediately contacted support to help my correct the glitch. So far I have been told that a $266 penalty applies for any booking changes. Aunt Betty have been completely inflexible given the extenuating circumstances, namely the website glitch and the fact that my intended booking date was different from the one processed.

Click bait prices - avoid!
Skyscanner listed a price MEL-LHR for $1,800. That linked through to Aunt Betty. The booking process forced you to select a seat at up to AU$140 per sector - there is no free option. It ended up adding over $200 to the fare.
Obviously I moved onto somewhere else to book. Having been a Flight Centre shareholder during their COVID woes, Aunt Betty taints the entire brand.
Suitable feedback sent to Skyscanner so they can consider pulling the plug on their relationship with this crowd.

I booked a flight for my daughter and me to fly from Brisbane to Seattle and return over the holiday. The rate was high, but it's covid, so I paid $6,500 for one adult and 1 child. I bought the added insurance to cover date changes. When my return date changed, I called to change it. They told me that my date change insurance only covered their admin fee (which they tried to charge me initially). I had to pay an extra $2,700 to make the change. I was stuck and just had to do it.

When I went to the airline (Air Canada) to ask about a flight change, they offered it to me for $200. Look this service is very non-transparent and is only a good deal if nothing has to be changed. Go directly to the airlines and pay the difference; it is completely worth it. Now when I asked CS who I could complain to, they told to "go to their website" and would not let me speak to anyone else in the corporate office to complain. Poor service, no transparency, don’t trust them with your money or travel plans they’ll make difficult situation worse. Forget about flight credits if accidents happen, they’ll charge you “fees” that are equivalent to the whole flight, then tell you lies that flights are not available, but when I look up on airline website it’s surely available. Outright scammers. I’ll never do the same mistake again, please learn from my mistake and do not deal with them
Worst agent experience
I received an email saying the last leg of 4 part journey was cancelled. Then I had to call them literally 10 times to understand the flight was in fact not cancelled but airline had changed the aircraft and I can return on the same day.
However, next day I was informed this is not the case and there is no confirmation of the next step from the airline.
Absolute chaos! No clear communication from the team. They all sound like they are from Indonesia.

I have never written a negative review before. But this company is worth it.
Had to cancel a flight, denied a refund after reading back t&c’s to them, received a credit to use on further flights.
I am now attempting to use this credit that I am entitled to and am being told to pay an extra $221 ontop of the booking cost ?! On their website for the same flights the cost is over $300 cheaper when what I am allowed to use my credit on. DO NOT ever use this company.

One of the worst travel agencies to deal with. Flight time changed and didn’t leave me enough time to transfer. So many issues trying to get an earlier flight as a result. Was finally approved 30 minutes before the flight departed. Refused to assist to put me on the next flight to get my connection.

Credit voucher ...... and like that its disappeared
I have received 10-12 emails regarding when I was going to use my credit voucher. I finally go to book some flights and the voucher they issued to me doesn't work and isn't valid. After a 2.5hour phone conversation trying to have this fixed - they advise that I cannot use this anymore as my details in their system is no longer available. Very unprofessional and un organized company. I now have to try and get a flight credit voucher from the airline Aunt Betty used which is Air Malindo....god help me with that
Black and white business approach.
It was not communicated clearly that there was a set cut off date for credit reimbursements and considering the impact covid has had regarding keeping people like us away from our families and that big airlines such as Qantas have had billions in government bailouts using taxpayer money it is so frustrating and disappointing that we are now out of pocket.
I understand the call centre are simply doing their job and following scripts from company directives, so my disappointment at the dismissive approach taken is aimed squarely at the company.

My friend and I had the worst experience with Aunt Betty trying to use our flight credit (our flight was cancelled due to covid).
1. Because we weren’t considered ‘new customers’ (despite us never having flown with them - just because our original flight was cancelled) they kept quoting us flight prices that were significantly higher than displayed on their website, and to top it off - they couldn’t even explain this loading amount (one quote was ~$150 more than the website price!). Definitely felt like a finger in the air number.

I make a booking with Aunt Betty for a flight from Sydney to Perth and I paid extra $200 to ensure I have refundable tickets because my mother is 82 and with covid we want make sure everything is OK.I contact the agency to cancel the tickets because my mother is in hospital and they refuse because the tickets are not refundable when is black on white in my ticket booking REFUNDABLE BOOKING.I don't know what to do but I am extremely desperate and disappointed and they don't even what to talk to us.Avoid Avoid Avoid Aunt Betty and don't trust what they offer because is just bull.

Requested refund and Aunty Betty confirmed this will be paid. After 10 or so emails and 4 weeks later still no refund and now operator said this will be another 12 weeks. Terrible company.
Made 1 further call and 3 emails and still no response at all from Aunt Betty. 21st December.
Not even worth one star
Tried to book through their site over the weekend, kept seeing error message at the end. No booking, no confirmation email yet money debited and now no answer.

Shocking, use airline direct
They have huge cancellation fees (50%) even though airline doesn't charge nearly that much - so they use this as a profit centre. Their call centre is in Manila only and they won't transfer you to anyone else (Australia or their manager in Manila). Basically a glorified version of the cheaper online agents but with just as bad service levels. Also they claim 3 months to refund 50% of ticket value. Shameful is an understatement.

I purchased a bunch of tickets ($3750) from Aunt betty back in July but due to few issues, I had to re-rout my tickets. Emirates advised it’s a normal change and can be made through the agent. Called AB but they refused to do so and advised the only option is to cancel and buy tickets again with $450 deductions. I decided to cancel and asked for a refund. Guess what? They still make excuses due to COVID-19 and advise their refund process will take up to 12 weeks or more while Emirates was confirming

Zero communication from their end, everything needs to be followed up from customers end several times; they are not able to make a decision or provide accurate information; very poor English; wrong booking information given (3x for a single flight) causing worst outcome for the customer (us) every single time; reject to own up to their own mistakes or take the responsibility/cost for own incompetence; will never use ever again

We booked our flight and they've cancelled it due to covid. We've requested a refund back in March 2020 and they said Airline is processing around 2000 refunds per week so you'll have to wait. After countless phone call and emails for nearly 2.5 years we somehow managed to spoke with Thai Airways customer service last month they have confirmed that refund has already been sent to Aunt Betty.

We booked a ticket through Aunt Betty with LATAM over 5 months ago. We were approved a full refund but have still not received any money back. Aunt Betty are claiming that they are waiting on money from LATAM. They promise email correspondence over and over again yet I receive nothing. I would not recommend booking with this company just in case you ever try to get a refund.

Booked a flight through Aunt Betty on Dec 18th 2021 from Perth to Hobart, to cancel due to covid, no refund offered . Went to book again 12 months later. How i can sue them?
My girlfriend canceled the flight and they mentioned that her money would be refunded after 12 weeks, but she couldn't receive any money after 15 weeks. So today she called them and they made another excuse not try to refund the money. Totally it doesn't make sense. Please let me know how to sue this company in Australia. All i want to get her money back as soon as possible.

Booked a trip with Aunt Better THEN read the reviews and got really worried. No need though. The tickets were real, and a lot cheaper that anywhere else.
We flew from Australia to Europe with Singapore Airlines. I had some questions that Aunt Betty helped with via email. I did try and call but i was just on hold forever so I would forget about that.

Once you've bought your tickets and have your ticket numbers, forget about Aunt Betty, just deal direct with the airline and you'll be sweet. In my case, i entered the numbers in the Singapore Airlines app as soon as i had them and was able to manage my flights that way,
Should be a zero star review
Had exactly the same experience as Brad Crane with an alert saying my first booking didn't go through, so booked again only to find out both bookings had been billed to my credit card. Phoned Aunt Betty to cancel one booking and received an email saying I would be refunded $484 per person ( ie $968 for the two of us) which was $388 short of the full amount. This was in September, it is now 2 months later and still no refund. I will be calling Aunt Betty again today.

Would rate 0 stars if I could. I went to book a flight got all the way to the end and got an alert saying there was a problem with the booking and that it didn't go through. So I went through the whole process again successfully only for them to charge me for both seats.
