Because most ppl don't report them. Those who do get their voucher money back if they haven't booked anything. Office of Fair Trading doesn't have 'enough complaints' to do anything about them.

I could not agree with you more this company is shameful to say the least .. They were stupid enough to still call us and try to sell the vouchers Ringing mobiles and Work phone ...We told them we would never use them and why they tell us what nasty people we are ? Funny if you don't want to buy there scam they reply in this way .. All that being said we are more than happy to sell our vouchers at half price to anyone that would like them ... Be our guest we reported them to fair trading ect ect with no luck there rely not interested You need to let everyone know maybe expose them on facebook just thought of that might be a good way to let people know .. Sorry to everyone that has had the awful experience with upngo just let as many people now as possible ...

They have a facebook page everyone. I was sucked in by their package also, to be told different features of the product now I have to abide by. They have inflated their prices of accommodation to account for the cheaper flight. A way to suck you in. I'm taking it further, its only $ 200 I spent, but can you imagine the amount of people who paid and haven't used thd vouchers as accommodation offered too expensive. They need to be held accountable. Someone needs to take this to Today Tonight to get this stopped!

Yes totally agree, I couldn't use my vouchers and never got my money back, no matter how many times I emailed and phoned, even sent them regular emails updating them on the number of people who have gone to this site and viewed my review that I left in September 2015, the response was no response, they must be making bilions on the innocent and consider our comments just a drop in the bucket...they should be put out of business.

About 3 years ago I got a call on the house phone about cheap airline tickets. I was told "It is Getaway Travel here and we would like to offer you very low airfares in Aust with an accommodation deal you will love $50 return to the Gold Coast". So stupid me buys these tickets with credit card and then hears a few months later that the whole thing was a scam. Lost the money and lost faith in these offers of phone calls telling me of $50 airline tickets between Australian capitol cities. When I phoned this Up and Go Travel the $50 was $59 and airline taxes apply plus (from) $75 per head min for accommodation in a self contained unit. 3 to 5 star. The only benefit was the lady I spoke to (although a New Zealander) was excellent in her presentation of the Up and Go Travel Company. I think the answer is for me to call an airline to get the fares and look on the i-net for accommodation and hire car, then call Up and Go to get a comparison price so I can do a cross reference on over all cost.

Hi Marsha, I tried calling your mobile but went to voice mail. So reply here. Did you finish getting any satisfaction or refund from this mob. I was phoned by them and thought I would have a look on the site of comments about them. Wow, they do not come up as a good place to do a deal.

no - you have to book 10 nights accommodation with them to get the offer. There are so many loopholes with their offer and they actually wont give you a set cost for accommodation until you have paid for the flights. Their accommodation costs are no where near as cheap as if you just book yourself online. If you ask for a refund of your flight money it takes them over 6 weeks to give it to you. They also hold off on giving you an accommodation quote until after their cooling off period is up - so make sure you ring and hassle them for a quote on the hotels before the cooling off period is up.... this way you can at least ask for a refund on your flight money. Quite honestly - I would steer clear and just book yourself on line - it will be cheaper and easier!

Its a four night minimun with a single pack...and ignore the above answer, I saved a fortune using up-n'go..the savings on flights alone pretty much paid for most of my hotel. Cheers.

Also bear in mind the $80 booking fee and checked on baggage.

It is interesting to see that Up n Go can answer negative feedback but not direct phone calls or emails, even when on the booking form. I have been given the run around for nearly a month. I want to go to Perth and was told to just fill in the booking form, it DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO PICK PERTH!!!. 2 phone calls and 3 emails, NO ANSWER. Maybe this will get upngo's attention and they will call me. I am not hard to please I am just wanting answers and so far their service is making me think I have been conned. Sharon Callander

Stay away from this business. We were silly enough to sign up on the phone and only discover what a disaster this deal is. It's misleading as the total cost of the package they quote is greater than if we book directly with the airline and the accommodation provider.

Hi there, STAY AWAY!! I was given an estimate for accomm on the gold coast which was then almost tripled after I had committed and paid for the flights - unfortunately on their recordings of my previous phonecalls where I was given the quote, there had been a "problem with the volume" so they couldnt hear what the sales consultant had said!! I was able to get the flights and accommodation cheaper myself and they took around 7 weeks and many many phonecalls to refund my $327. You are far better booking 4 nights through wotif or something like that!!

I called them and hassled them on the day that 6 weeks was up - miraculously Tegan said my refund had just been processed the previous friday. I think it was done the day I called... it took another 3 days to appear on my credit card. It was such a lot of stress and time just to get my $327 back, but at the end of the day I just hassled them relentlessly and did get it back after about 7 weeks. Keep calling them and make sure you post a negative review so that other buyers can be more informed... I think they are posting heaps of 5 star reviews for themselves, so it's really important that we all post negative reviews for other buyers to be able to make an informed decision! Good luck with the refund!

Thanks to all of you for your comments. I have just had one of their attractive deals offered to me by phone. I said I wanted to look at their "offer" online so I could understand it better before buying what seemed like a good deal. I came across this review website and now I wont go near them. It is good that we can protect each other from phone salespeople in this way. I'm grateful. Des.
