Person in the store was easy to deal with and helpful throughout our issues.
We purchased a light and it didn’t work. We contacted the store who put us in touch with ‘warranty’. It took numerous calls and emails, messages to receive a response from warranty. I was advised that there were no replacement lights in the county and I’d need to wait 8-12 weeks for a replacement. I advised my electrician who rang around and advised me there were numerous stores with stock including in Melbourne. I contacted the stores my electrician suggested...
Read more and secured a light. It was put aside for me, but I needed to speak to warranty before they could release. After less emails and calls I spoke with someone who was helpful. She apologised as she was unaware of why the original person had stood me none were available and after negotiation agreed to have the light delivered and an electrician to fit it. The organises electrician cancelled so we delayed. When an eventually electrician turned up to fit he couldn’t as he hadn’t been told the location of the light (which i had mentioned numerous times to everyone as it was an unsafe area without a light) so he couldn’t do it. Nor could he leave the light in case it was damaged Again emails and calls with warranty who said it would be a few weeks until they would get somehow to fit it. I ended up suggesting that my electrician just do it and they can pay her. After some toing and froing they agreed and after much negotiation agreed to deliver the light - the expectation was that is collect it - it was a large light. Beacon refused to collect the light that didn’t work so we had to incur costs to dispose of it. Won’t be back- Product Quality

We first installed ceiling fans some 12 years ago. Recently we renovated and decided to change our fans. The assistant was excellent in helping us choose even though we took time to decide. The fans have now been installed and look fantastic. Very happy with the cost. Given the excellent service and quality of the product I would throughly recommend shopping at Beacon lighting.

After explaining my problem, frequent blackouts on rural property, a range of battery powered candles were suggested as a solution. A functional yet aesthetically pleasing option. Excellent result.

Purchased a Lucci Akmani ceiling fan to replace previous (exactly same) fan that was blown up due to a direct lightning strike in my unit. Great fan - works well, looks good and suits my decor. Very happy with both the fan and the service.

Went to purchase new lights for a 2bedroom granny flat build - product bought after advice from sales assistant (Who has forgotten her firendly manner), was inadequate and not up to task. Most lights had to be returned. Sales assistanrs need to know the product they are selling

The heat lamp we purchased for our investment reno didn’t work. We put in a warranty claim, and we’re still waiting for it to be fixed. The electrician had to set up a temporary light.

I had avoided shopping at Beacon Lighting in Derwent Park because of the disinterested staff (bordering on surly) for several years. But due to proximity tried them again. Yep, same surly staff. Just horrible- never again.

I've purchased several fans and lights in the last 12 months from the Toowoomba store, and I have found them very easy to deal with. Great customer service, ordered in products, follow-up was great. Happy with selection available in store, and with our purchases

The problems started when the staff couldn't explain how the discount was applied on the invoice - it appeared complicated and was not transparent. Then, there was the understandable delays due to transport; but that did not excuse the poor communications and uncooperative attitude to providing updates on delivery dates. This was not a pleasant customer experience, which could have been easily remedied with better customer service.

After receiving a faulty light of a set was told by the warranty department there was no others available that they were discontinued line that I would just have to pick something else. The lights are very specific and holes were made into a wall for them as I explained and she could care less. After many phone calls they found one got them installed by my electrician and now to be told that they will not cover the electrician. Don’t buy from Beacon! Customer service is zero

Kathy - Beacon Lighting Customer Servicei placed an order, made sure i clicked on the items which refreshed and said in stock. after placing an order, we did notify them that if they dont have the full stock to let us know. they were a set of lighting for renovated house. and yes it was $4,000.00 order
they send us the first patch with only few items out of 36 items. and then we get notified that an item of 8 that we ordered, they only have few and the rest will be 2-3 weeks minimum. so we asked them to return that item and we will choose another.
We get notification that the whole order has been refunded and told to place the whole order again.

I am going for a more modern look so needed more streamlined lighting. Had to return some items or change several times to get what I wanted but the store personnel treated me with kindness, patience and politeness. They were very helpful at the Highpoint store.

Contacted the warranty department in October 2021 in regards to our faulty pendant light. It’a now April and the light still hasn’t been replaced. No one in the warranty department answers calls or replies to emails. Customer service is beyond terrible. I’ll never buy another light from Beacon ever again. Not worth the hassle.

Four months of trying to organise a warranty fault. Little to no communication. Only when I pester and cc in online support do they actually respond. When they did eventually phone me there was no apology. A little honey goes a long way. If they had apologised and explained I wouldn’t have minded. I’d rather have a faulty pendant light that have to deal with them. Unfortunately I’m already four months into the process now and will have to just wait.
