Insane Security Team
I have been using Booking.com service for several years and never had any problems.
But in the past month I kept on receiving emails (every second day) from their Security Team letting me know that they had blocked my account and asking me to reset my password. I don't even remember how many times till now I had to reset my password without any reason, because either their site has a serious glitch or they employ morons to work in security.
Whatever the reason, a frustrating and annoying. I wish they pull themselves together and stop harassing me .

Shocking service
They have cancelled our booking in London twice in four months at two different hotels without any reason. The first one after a few days and the second one after a month!! Our options are now very limited. Very unprofessional and will never use them again as well as spread the word about the non existent service!

Mid range search engine
It is good to find accom offering breakfasts even if it is packed meal to take to an early morning departure. Breakfast should be rated by users. Free cancellation is great. But in teasing customers for the lowest price the search engine chooses a pay before stay and no cancellation refund hotel. Booking.com wasted people's time and then somebody leap frogs and then the hotel room is lost.

No cancellation bookings applied fairly inconsistently
I have had several booking.com hotel bookings over the last 12 months and on 3 occasions i have needed to cancel despite the no cancellation nature of the booking. On the first 2 occasions flights had been cancelled and i was unable to get to my destination. The first time the hotel waived the fee and granted a refund. The second time even though i was in a different country subject to all day flight cancellations neither parties were willing to waive this and insurance didnt cover it. and forwards between the hotel and booking.com with no one willing to make a decision on a booking 3 weeks out that i need to cancel the whole trip based on my partners health. It looks like the hotel has agreed to refund but booking.com are being very vague saying they will get back to me. Now i babe been emailed saying that whilst the hotel will cancel the booking they cant get their system at booking.com to do this. Well i would wxpect them to find someone senior enough to do so. 2 rooms booked 8 months ago unavailable on arrival
We have used booking.com in the past and they were fine - However, our last booking was a complete disaster. We landed in New York - tired, weary an were looking forward to our 2 hotel rooms ( family of 4) only to find out that it had been cancelled without our knowledge. We were unable to get another room in the hotel as it was fully booked out that night . Booking .com tried to offer us $25 as compensation for our inconvenience ie loss of one night as we had to spend the night sorting out accomodation and extra taxi fares across New York . Really, they should have paid for the night lost . Terrible management of a bad situation . One bad booking in a bunch
I have booked through this site on more than 10 occasions and have found it both easy for organising holidays as well as a useful cancellation policy. BUT on the one occasion a listing wanted to cancel on me, I found them to be completely inept at dealing with the situation. I had booked a 10 bed home and their solution was to re-book me in two one-bed cabins. When I said this was not good enough and found alternative options on their site, they told me they would only cover 50% of the price difference and only after I had paid the full amount. In the end I cancelled the entire booking and went elsewhere, then had to wait 2 weeks for them to take the hold off my money in my account ($3000 pending that they would not release).

Booking.com a big Fraud - Charged my credit card after telling me that car booking was not successful
This is the second time booking.com will charge my card even it states to me while booking that they are not able to complete my booking with the third party. Just was trying to book a car some 2 hours ago, booking was not successful as messaged by booking.com but my credit card was instantly charged, the government need to protect from all these fraudulent middle man online thst does not add any value most especially booking.com

The hotel was a drug+thug dump.
I booked a stay with my 3 children,under 6. We couldn't stay in those conditions,room smelt of urine,stains every where.fridge warm.windows could not lock,blinds half missing. Manager not contactable. We fled. Booking offered $20 after a wk,as credit for next stay.

Booking.com has lost my support
I have always used Booking.com for booking accommodation worldwide and have been extremely happy with the service and practices. However I recently booked a villa in Ubud for 7 nights, deliberately booking the refundable option. To my surprise I received my MasterCard bill with the entire cost charged to it. There was a sentence in the booking blurb that stated the hotel may take a small payment out of the credit card. whether it could be a fraudulent charge. When I spoke to customer service all they kept reiterating was that I could cancel and get a refund. I no longer trust that I can make a booking and change it later or that I will not be charged the full amount months in advance. Beware of partner Booking.Basic
Have used Booking.com many times with no problems. Today I made a booking thru Booking.com and they said it was thru their partner Booking.basic. After they took payment they then said the Booking was declined and had refunded the payment. However the fine print says the refund can take 7 days! So they keep my money for 7 days. That seems wrong to me after they offered the deal and took payment. Disappointed with Booking.com for using this ‘partner’

I booked a rental in Jamaica through Booking.com. The initial credit card payment did not go through, so I called my credit card to approve. The card was run again and payment went through. I told booking.com I was very afraid to travel to this destination "on my own," since the owner had decided to make the booking directly through them. I wanted a full refund, since I never agreed to book directly through an owner in Jamaica. Booking.com said Sorry, since you "chose" to book directly through the owner, we cannot help you. Each time I explained I only gave my credit card info to booking.com, and never consented to this transaction or reservation being done outside of booking.com, they replied, sorry, we cannot help you since the booking is no longer through booking.com....WHAT?!? How could it not be since the transaction was done through their app? So, beware, because once you give your credit card info to booking.com, the owners, around the world, can take your credit card, decide to make the booking directly through them, charge you whatever they want, refuse to refund you, and you will have zero protection, zero trust that you will actually have a reservation, and you will definitely have zero support from booking.com, the company you actually trusted for your reservation. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Booked a hotel (and paid for it) in the Gold Coast for my marriage anniversary, upon almost arriving after hours of driving with 3 kids I received a notification that the hotel is now full. The Booking.com team was useless when I called and could not help, they would keep repeating a prewritten response without actually listening.

Booked for a weekend away in Freo, prices were correct. Pier 21 was very good. Had free cancellation, so not sure, if could not go, would have cancelled. Have used them 3 Times, so far has been good

Very Disappointed
Booked through booking.com and didn't realize that the booking went to Agoda.
I selected that I have the free cancellation and as it diverted to Agoda after the payment went through there was no cancellation on it with the Agoda logo underneath. What a RIP OFF!
Yet Agoda advertise that their accommodation has free cancellation on all bookings!!
Wont be using either sites again.

Worst costumer service.
I had a horrible experience trying to deal with their costumer service. It all goes smoothly if there is no issues, but at the smallest problem they may become your worst nightmare.I will never book with them again.

I'm currently experiencing horrendous customer service from booking.com. Reading all the negative reviews on this website, I can honestly relate to what is being written and believe they are all completely true. Do yourself a favour and book with another website or agency, there's many others who will treat you with some decency.

the manager that i had booked the room for just my brother and that he had to check in. I then showed my booking.com booking showing my name and that the room is booked for me and that this has nothing to do with him. She then turns the computer towards me showing its for my brother and no one else. I then said why is that and she said its because i booked it for my brother. I then said no i didnt and that he has stayed there before so its something to do with there booking system and not me or booking.com. I then said im here with my wife and i have payed for the room so why does he need to show his id and check in to the room that ive payed for. She then said i cant check in and he has to check in. i said ive never seen anything like this in all my years and travelling and so called my brother to go to the hotel to tell her he isnt staying there. When he arrived she wanted him to show his id and for me to show my debit card and she wants to get 250 security deposit off my card. I refuse to give her the card and say is the room for me or him and says its for him. i then say hes not staying there me and my wife are and im not comfortable with the way the hotel checks people in. It sounds fraudulent and i dont like staying at a place that dos its business like that. I said to her her system is booking the room for the wrong person and there hotel should learn how to handle people that pay for the hotel checking in properly and asked for a refund. She then told me to call booking.com to ask for a refund. I called booking.com and was told i can get a refund and they just need to call the lady who i was speaking too. booking.com called the lady managing the hotel i was speaking too and the lady i had been speaking to for a hour then tells booking.com that i said that ive booked the room for my brother and that its not refundable and so she wont give a refund. i then said to the lady ive just been here for a hour trying to check into your hotel and been saying over and over that i didnt book it for my brother and he has had to drive from another place to tell you that and you just told the booking.com place that says my name on the reservation that i came in here and said i booked it for my brother and now your telling the booking.com place that im here telling you i booked it for my brother and said you think its ok that a hotel does things like that. she then tells when i walked in there i said i booked it for my brother. At that point she this was just becoming insulting. I then repeat not once have i said that and thats the whole issue of why i aint feel comfortable staying at a hotel run like that. Not only was she telling lies to booking.com that i said i booked it for my brother she also said to be able to get a refund i had to ask booking.com when booking.com told me its up to her. I then asked her why did you tell me to ask booking.com for a refund when you just told them its not refunable. Why dont you just say that to me and why make me call them. Its disguting that a manager and a hotel can be run like that. Its insulting and i refused to stay there. First off! I would encourage everyone to watch Dick Smith: Step 1. Key in: "Dick Smith exposes foreign booking sites" and you will be amazed at how much Booking.com is ripping Aussie's off, both guests and accommodation providers. Booking.com and Expedia are the 2 companies who Dick Smith talks about I believe.
Accommodation providers are helpless to change this as the 2 top companies have the money to pay google and the like to block accommodation providers advertising, sending their website to the 2nd, 3rd or more pages down the search.

Booked a hotel in Valdivia Chile through this company and when we got there it was closed. Booking.com acknowledge the error, promised compensation and a refund in pay difference with another hotel, but so far has avoided paying ..called them already three times.

Never Book a Hotel when the Booking Calendar is already "Pre-Checked" with a date other than your own Proposed date of Travel. Agoda, Booking Com Calendars are Pre-Checked with a dates of Hotel Stays.... When you change your proposed Travel date to Book the Hotel rooms and you make the payment the date can automatically reverse back to the "Pre-Booked" marked by the Hotel or the Booking agencies...Then to change the dates of your Proposed Travel, Booking agencies will ask for more money as a Penalty....I have noticed Hotel.Com calendar is not marked with Pre-Booked dates.....Be Careful.

More evidence of Booking Holdings fraudulent, immoral practices. They own Agoda too. Whereas hotel.com is owned by Expedia. I've learnt a valuable lesson and that is to never use another on of booking.com's companies and to never pay in advance for accommodation.
Agoda and Booking Com are crooks....They have "Pre-Dated" their Booking Calendar. Once you change the date of your choice, it is reversed back to the original
"Pre-Checked" date and to change the date they will charge your more money....Only book through an agency where there is no date is Pre-Checked on their Calendar like Hotel.Com...

Hi dream queen, that’s not something I have come across before with bookings.com! When my booking was messed up I received an email from them telling me no amount had been charged to my credit card! Hope that helps!
