Customers be aware

published

I purchased this late January 2015 with extra 3 year warranty,, I had to call for a service as it was leaking, the rubber rim had a tear in. According to Bosch and I was told this applies to all front loaders, this part is not covered by the warranty why? Because when taking the clothes out of the machine you drag the clothes out and this is what causes the tear. We were never told of this when looking at front loader washing machines.
Furthermore they are aware of this, should they not put a better quality seal in their machine to prevent this.
Has anyone out there had a similar issue with their front loader? I would appreciate your response

Blown up and expensive repairs!

published

We have both a Bosch front loader and dryer and had the machines a few years and it has been good....until now! The front loader's drum bearings are worn, and is going to cost us in excess of $650 to repair it, on top of the $99 dollars it has cost us today to have someone come out to have a look at it. Seriously, what is the point... We bought a Bosch as we thought it would last the distance rather than going with a cheaper machine that we thought would blow up - the cost to repair the Bosch is more than a new machine at $750 total...
Very disappointed.

Warranty Service Centre Is Polite However No Good

published

The machine is ok, the drum has a squeaking noise. Be careful there is no warning sticker like most all machines in Australia about removing travel bars. Loud compared to others I have. Hard to clean the rubber ring. Unusually sensitive if you don't have a full load stops to easily. Don't buy this machine!

Logixx 8 kg machine great little workhorse

published

The machine does a great job using eco detergents and warm washing. The machine does not like duvets but as it gets unbalanced. Have had the machine for 4 years and it works well.
Good product. The machine is quite and I like that it can dry the clothes at 1600RPM

Best Washing Machine I Have Ever Had!

published

Bought it to replace an Asko, best idea ever. Washes so well and so many options for different loads. Super quiet and can not hear it when its no. Love the delay settings as it allows me to make sure the washing is finished just in time for me to get home. Would only ever buy Bosh again. Fantastic Machine

One of the best machine I have ever own

published

This machine is a beast when it comes to washing clothes. It's not a quit machine though but the clothes comes out clean and it doesn't wear-out your clothes. I used to own a samsung front loader before and yeah it was pretty ordinary, it was one of those machine you have to check the washing after using it just in case you might find some dirt clothes, no wonder this samsung machines are exploding these days. What kind of a company is that from making a washing machine to making phones.

Disappointing Performance

published

Had this machine for 2 1/2 years and up to this point very happy with the machine, but on the weekend a major failure happened while washing a load of bathroom towels (well within the load rating)! The machine has completely smashed itself to bits internally, one of the springs which suspend the drum and trough at the top has come completely off (was lying in the bottom of the machine) and no sensors or anything stopped the machine, so as a result the cabinet is completely dented on both sides and bottom, soap dispenser is damaged and the Drive Belt is shredded, as well as a variety of other bits and pieces which are damaged internally. Not really good enough for a machine costing this amount of money!!!

OK as an update I can inform that Bosch have decided to replace our machine, as damage experienced is highly unusual. Many thanks to Bosch for a satisfactory resolution.

Superior in every way

we have converted to liquid detergent thanks to the automatic dosing
The machine detects in auto mode the amount of laundry, the degree of soiling and the type of fabric and the program do all thinking
The display is large and easy to read. The operation is simple and intuitive, the machine is very quiet and very easy to use we stick to the same liquid detergent and fabric softener, because then you have to adjust the dispensed only once.
Highly recommend

True 8KG machine?

published

We just brought the Bosch Home Professional WAY32840AU paid top $$$ thinking and was told thats its a 8Kg washing machine thats why we brought it and only to find out once we took it home and started using that it weighs the clothing for each cycle you choose and to my understanding the only 8kg cycle is the cotton one the rest varies for e.g if you choose the towels cycle it only goes up to 3.5Kg so that is approx 3 large towels in the drum, when you buy a 8 kg machine you are buying it for a reason to use the 8kg capacity true? is there any way for over riding this feature? and is there a way to add/use a stain remover powder to the cycle?

Putting holes in clothes

published

There is a lot to like about this machine but it's far too rough, I'm getting holes in many clothes, all of which were never damaged in my old Samsung front loader.

It took me a while to work out that it had to be the washing machine doing it, nothing else has changed, I also don't see much difference in which wash cycle I choose it all seems rough.

The cleaning performance is excellent but it's at the expense of your clothes. So far I've thrown out 6 t'shirts and 2 pair of jeans in less than a year. Would not buy again.

Bosch WAY32540AU: We had the WFK2401 for 18-20 years and it only died because I forgot to remove the travel bolts on a move and it shook violently causing eventual death. Made in Germany, quiet, great loading choices, drum light. Looks like a spaceship once it lights up. Large door. Cold wash option. Can change wash speed when wash in progress. 15 minute super quick wash option. Serious bang for buck. Receives the same reliability and customer brand saisfaction as Miele in France (Que Choisir magazine).

WAY32540AU

hi. just like to know why our newly bought and installed waw28460au connected only to the cold tap please?

Bosch moved to cold water inlet only in their models Aquascure water inlets years ago. The manual confirms this. They use the heating element in the washing machine to precisely heat the water to the required temperature, as the hot water inlets are variable in temperature and often take a while to heat up.

HomeProfessional WAY32891AU

Hi, I purchased the WAY32891AU from Appliance Online about a month ago and was checking the manual to see how I can access the additional programs.
On closer inspection I noticed the image on the website shows a ‘Towel’ program on the main dial under Shirts.

My machine does not have Towel feature at all on the main dial or under the Additional Programs.

Also, looking at the manual I don’t have the following programs: Lingerie, Kidswear, Outdoor, Down Wear, Outdoor/Waterproofing and Sportswear.

I called Appliance Online and they were confused about the image showing something different to what’s on the actual machine.

Hopefully I haven’t purchased a older model.

Regards,

Jess

Hi, The Towel program is on page 34 of the manual. You select it on the dial using Additional Programs and then scrolling through on the menus to find it (see page 27 of the manual)
