Does your standard price include the site cost? Bushfire levy ?

1 answer

Boutique H.Boutique Homes

Hi Mohd,
Thank you for your question. The house prices stated on our website include an M class waffle pod slab, site levelling and connections, however there are additional costs associated with preparing a site for the construction of a new home such as slab upgrades and Bushfire requirements. As these costs are site-specific it’s best to get in touch with a New Homes Consultant so we can assess your block, the home you’re hoping to build, and advise of any additional requirements. You can get in touch with a Consultant by emailing [email protected] or call 9674 4500.

Hi. Looking at building on a sloping block around 2.5 metres across the building envelope. We like the Boutique Riva 29 as we will have views to the rear. Any experience with such a project and site cost implications? The consultant advised 2-3 metres would be okay. Thanks

Thanks Boutique. I will do as you suggest, just away at the moment. From memory our block is about 20 mtr x 46 mtr with a steady fall of around 5 mtr front to back. It is yet to have surrounding infrastructure, and not titled so there may be change. Cheers

The paint on the upstairs weatherboards is Solver brand and matched to the render colour. For the Providence 34 at Sunbury we used Dulux Champignon for the main render.
The roof tiling for both homes is Charcoal Grey from Boral.

Hello Boutique,
We have recently signed our PWC to build an Airlie 38sq. A couple of questions: can you provide a list of all your suppliers (e.g. tiles, flooring, bricks etc.) so we can visit their showrooms individually for the full range. We noticed that there is only a selection in your Colours Showroom. Second question, where can we find the same sofa featured in the family room of the Airlie display in Point Cook? Love the piped upholstery and would love something similar in our future new home! Thanks :)

Hello. We are looking at building a house through you guys and wanted to know if you allow minor alterations to the plans. We would probably need to shave 400mm off the over width of the house in order for it to for our block. We do not like the smaller optioned plans for the same house and wanted tp confirm if this is possible before we organise a time to come down

Hi. We are thinking about building the Montpellier 39 but are extremely confused about facade options. The nice looking one from all pictures online and the display homes (with the big balcony) would blow our budget. Does anyone have the "mode" facade option or is there anywhere you can see it "live"? Apparently the Montpellier is quite popular but I would love to hear what facades people choose and if they are happy with the choice? Also regarding floorplan?
Many thanks in advance. Ameli

Regarding the paint selection in our Clyde North display home, we used Solver paint in 'Boutique Builders White' for the ceiling; Solver paint in 'Cotton Grey' throughout the home; and Dulux paint in 'Mud Pack' for the feature walls in the living and dining rooms.
The kitchen cabinets are Polytec's Thermo collection in the matte selection 'Porcelain'.

Hi Boutique,

We have been quite surprised and disappointed by the lack of customer service and responsiveness from Boutique.

We recently received a significant additional post-contract charge on top of the signed fixed cost to build. This inclusion had not been agreed upon and:

- Boutique had previously stated that this cost would be covered by them due to it being a result of their oversight; and
- This amount is significantly higher than the standard cost

After numerous rounds of being hand-balled from one person to another we have still received no resolution to our issue and it has reached a point where we have had no contact from Boutique over the past 2 weeks despite our numerous attempts to contact through various methods.

We hope to build a positive relationship with Boutique however the lack of communication makes it increasingly difficult. If our assigned contacts are incapable of addressing this issue, who can we escalate to to ensure our problem is resolved ASAP?

We are building with Boutique homes. In contract, there is an amount (995$) allocated for building reestablishment survey(If required). So once the construction started, I asked whether that amount is required. Then my Client Liaison Co-ordinator (Jade Zanker) told not required. After 2 weeks the work started, she emailed me saying that survey need to be done again the pegs are damaged and the money in the contract will be charged. So why should i bear the amount when it was damaged when Boutique was working on it?

Boutique H.Boutique Homes

Ramakrishna,
We understand you may have been initially advised that this wouldn’t be required, however a neighbouring fence was built following this conversation which impacted your temporary fencing and unfortunately disturbed the pegs. The cost for this is accounted within your contract price, so please be assured you will not be charged an additional fee. Please contact your Client Liaison Coordinator if you require further clarity.
