Braemar Ecostar TQM5X20+
We have had unit for 5 years and every year it has required repair. Just had a new fan unit replaced 2 weeks ago and now has failed aagain. We always get fault code 2. I don't want to spend any more money on this brand. I am going to bite the bullett and have it replaced. We had a Vulcan heater that was still going strong after 20 years and we only replaced it thinking we were getting a better fuel efficient unit. If we did save any money on fuel it has gone into paying for repairs.
Purchased in May 2015 for $5,000.

After only three weeks there was a malfunction (which has not shown up as an error on the system) and the unit was no longer able to heat my small, split level lounge area. Several attendances by the installer who has made changes to the ducting and also by Seeley's Service Manager who states there is nothing wrong with the unit. Can no longer achieve desired temperature in the lounge whereas previously it could heat to 24 degrees. The sys...
Read moretem is very noisy and runs for hours trying to achieve a 3 degree increase in temperature of the room. Even though the unit had worked well for a short period, I'm now told that I can't expect to heat this zone as well as the rest of the house due to the split level - go figure! This has been a huge waste of money for me plus the cost of needing to run additional heating to keep warm. I will move house before spending another winter here.Purchased in July 2018 at Gasworks.
