Try to return defective screen for light bleeding, They will move it to the brightest location possi

published

I tried to return a screen for terrible light bleeding. (light pouring out edges in a dark room which hurts your eyes)

They moved it from where we were at the returns desk and placed it in the brightest spot possible, Where you cant see light bleed and then said "look its ok!" When I explained they were being deceptive and I was aware they got very rude and angry. They refused to test for light bleed in even a dimly lit area, Which is how you test for it.

Stay away

Pathetic service. Archaic system of buying a product. Have to wait needlessly while they go about looking bored and uninterested. You pay, wait and wait and then someone comes a long time later to give your product. What kind of system is this?

False Advertising

They advertise a range of 1Tb WD Passport external drives which are not in stock and they have no intention of reordering.
I ordered and paid for 10 they claimed the bank transfer took 5 days my bank said 1 day??? Then a further 2 days later refused to send me the colour I ordered and have promised to send a mixture of odd colours ( blue and ruby ).
I can still place an order and pay for the same stock item on their website which they admit they cannot supply.
The worst online buying experience ever, something should be done to stop this sort of behaviour.

Go anywhere else!

OMG.
IF, you can order the part, and they get it in on time, and it works as expected - thats the best the service will ever get. And why would you want more you may ask?
You will not experience good service when you get to collect the product.
You can expect to wait for someone to bother to serve you.
You can expect attitude.
You can expect no help whatsoever.
Do not pay up front. Basic common sense right? Getting a refund will be impossible.
Well, if ANYTHING doesn't go to plan, "service" is not in their vocabulary. Period.
3rd product from them, and I vow to never go back again.

By comparison, Scorptec, a little more expensive, marginally, but the difference in fantastic customer service is miles and miles apart.

Do not order from their website, it will take weeks and several phone call to get your shipment

Probably lost my graphics card..

published

After many stocking complications, bought a Galax 980 TI HOF card from CPL, after 1 month the card wouldn't post, took 1 month to get CPL to accept an RMA, sent it off, 3 months down the track after 20+ phone calls and 20+ emails, all they have told me is that they sent it off, but they don't know whether Galax has received it yet, or where it is. Called them, and they tell me to send them another email to ask what they can do for me, I have not received a reply to all but one of my emails from them, and even that one came back 1.5 weeks from when I sent it. All in all, a terrible company.

Warranty returns - Video Card ASUS GTX 750 OC 1GB

published

CPL is directly harming the brand name of manufacturers when it comes to warranty returns.
Something the manufacturers should take note of.
Faulty video card ASUS GEFORCE GTX 750 OC 1GB. Spiking RPM when the card is below 30 Deg Cel.
Told 3 weeks. Then told 4 weeks. Then told 8 weeks by CPL warranty people.
Spoke with ASUS support and it's definitely a replacement. In a world where info travels at light speed, CPL
is still at snail pace. They blame the supplier, then they blame ASUS, then they come up with some convoluted response. Keep away otherwise test your hardware immediately to get a replacement.

It worked out

published

I had a build put together through au.pcpartpicker which has CPL as one of their vendors. I put an order through for my items, and then, like an idiot, didn't look up the reviews until after I had placed the order. For a while I super concerned that I would run into some issues, but my deposit went through ok, and everything was sent off through Fastway couriers (which also have bad reviews so I was concerned even more!). In the end it all turned up within a week. The box only had the air packets in it, no bubble wrap, but I wasn't too worried since all the item I purchased were in boxes anyway. I've put the computer together but haven't tested if it all works yet since I only noticed once I got it that my current PSU isn't strong enough.

Once in a life time experience of crap.

published

Ordered multiple parts from CPL and waited a long period of time with no updates. So I emailed them asking what the issue was and I got no replies after several days. Tired of waiting, I called up only for them to tell me one of the parts I ordered was out of stock and will be coming in another week. CPL apparently has no obligation to tell you that a product of theirs is out of stock which also shows otherwise on their website inventory. Extremely frustrated they didn't even bother to notify me about this. Told them to take out the parts that weren't in stock and send the rest. Have yet to receive a refund for the exclusion.
Bloody train wreck of a business.

Worst people to deal with, do not refund anything

published

Dont know how to run a business. My case was almost destroyed when I had picked it up and brang it home, and they wouldn't even give me a refund, and said it had to go through a process to see if I had damaged the case myself when the case was clearly in peices.

Very slow service. Waste of time

published

Went in store to buy stuff. Only ONE sales person on deck. Lots of other people walking around back and no one helping to serve. Single sales guy takes his time stuffing around. Frustrating! MSY is quicker with 2 sales people most of the time.

Also online stock status does. It match what there actually is. It's a tech shop... Tech shop that can't update it's database and website in a timely manner.... Crap!

Do not shop here!

published

The very worst service I have encountered from a shop ever... Will not replace faulty equipment, but will happily sell it. Should be closed down... Look elsewhere for any computer purchase. Utter sham!
