Worst customer service ever
I ordered my pc parts on 12th July and received them on 11th August. This is after I emailed them to tell them that I lived in Cairns and not in another country. I received no reply and decided to call them. I was advised at the time of my call that one of the parts that I ordered was no longer in production and that they had nil stock. The question begged to be asked: Why did they still have the item on the website and why did they not contact me to tell me this earlier? I controlled my anger and agreed to go back to their website to look for ...Read more
a compatible replacement. This was the MOBO. I then found a suitable MOBO and called the next day and spoke to a different salesperson. This person then informed me that what I was told previously was an error and that my original ordered MOBO was the last one in stock and that I would have it. What a fiasco! I received my package a whole 4 weeks after placing my order only to find out that the GPU was dead on arrival. I called ASUS and they told me to submit an RMA with CPL. I was filled with dread after reading some of these reviews. After countless unanswered emails, I called their warranty department and the replacement is on its way. This was one week ago. It took 3 days for the faulty GPU to reach them via standard Australia Post from Cairns to Melbourne. I don't know why it takes so long for the return journey. The customer service is atrocious. I could not even understand the saleslady over the phone as she sounded foreign. Even though I am Asian. Please stay away from this company.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Online reviews can be misleading
Late 2014 i was building a $7,500.00 Gaming machine. When I had waited on PCCaseGear for 3 weeks messing me around and telling me there was no stock of 980GTX's anywhere in Australia I tried CPL... They had 3 of them delivered to me within three days and I live in Perth which takes forevor for delivery. Honestly have nothing but praise to say about this company, however I am going off only one purchasing experience. I am about to order some RAM for a new server build from them today so lets see if they can keep up to the level of service I have come to expect from them. Similar situation. all other companies are telling me they are out of stock. Fingers crossed...

Can't rate the customer service as it's non existant for the Preston store.
Was enquiring about an LG 34UM68-p Moniotr.. Emailed monday and called today with no answer/reply from either. Lost potential customer.

Know what you're looking for
I've ordered from these guys lots of times and never had any issue with the service or items received.
Usually after extensive research into what I'm looking for I'll check the site and see if they have it in stock then just order and pay at the counter. If they're not busy they usually are happy to help with any questions i've had - the only exception being when there was a line of 12 people waiting to pick up stuff.
Can't comment on their online ordering process as i've never tried.
Would have given 5 stars but they never have any bloody bags at the West Melbourne store!!

Still waiting
Ordered a few updated computer fans as our old gaming rigs are getting a little noisy due to a fair bit of use. Place the order on the online service last Friday with Courier - StarTrack - Premium next day delivery. It has been now 4 working days and still no indication of the delivery is established on there website or via email.
Called them to ask why it was taking so long and they replied that there was a part they had to order from Corsair. I have dealt with Corsair directly in the past and I know there service is very reliable as I rece...Read more

Save your money
Wish I had found this site before I purchased from cplonline. I brought a motherboard from them, couldn't get it to work all indications it was DOA. Applied for an authorisation to return it under warranty to them, cost me $18.25. Allegedly they have had two technicians look at the board and it works, now to get it returned to me they want me to pay an additional $28.75. Told them this isn't acceptable, they refused to send it to me so I have now escalated this issue to consumer affairs.
If you want to waste your money then use this company, if you want to save your money find another place to purchase your product from.

The don't deserve a star
I wish I saw these reviews before I places the order with them. I paid for my order on 25/07 today is 02/08 and yet it's not shipped. I email the sales to cancel the order and I will see how it goes. Will need to delay the pc build!!

On 02/08 I contacted sales to check if the Oder is shipped or not. It wasn't yet shipped because of out of stock items. I wasn't informed about this, when I places orders all items were in sto... Read more

Painful. Do not get sucked in by marginally cheaper prices
I wish I had seen these reviews before I placed my order. Ordered and paid for a hard drive and stick of RAM 5 weeks ago; still waiting... The online order department only 'communicates' via email, not phone. They haven't answered an email from me in the last 3 weeks. Far from going out of business they seem to be opening a new store in Preston! Suppose it serves me right for cheating on Scorptec...

No Response, Strange ordering process.
Price is good, not good enough to make up for the lack service.
Ordered twice for one large product on behalf of company.
Once for pay on pickup from my local store, after order confirmation I was informed by email I had to pay a deposit (which defeats the idea of pay on pickup) I attempted to contact the store by phone to pay the deposit, it rang for a solid 10 minutes no answer, emailed the store to tell them, received an email promising to call me back - never got a call back.
Tried again pay online, deliver via post, paid $200 upfr...Read more
ont on the site by paypal, after order was confirmed again I was emailed - this time they requested I prove my order was genuine and I was who I said I was by sending them my PayPal receipt or they would cancel my order in 2 days, I refused and requested a refund via email, no answer, a week passed so I sent another email, no answer, after fortnight I opened a PayPal dispute and had the refund the very next day. Long story short - thank god for PayPal.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor service
Ordered 2 cameras which reportedly were "in stock". Delivery indicated within a nominated number of days. I contacted CPL when the delivery failed to materialise. Was told that there was no stock and delivery would be more than 6 weeks away by which time we would have been overseas a month! We had purchased the cameras for our trip. Disappointed that CPL failed to alert us of their inability to supply hence making it difficult to purchase from another company.
Supplied CPL with bank account details for crediting of the monies. Still not in our...Read more

False Advertising, Terrible Service
I recently placed an order for an Intel CPU and a couple of parts that they advertised as being in stock. After waiting two weeks, I sent a flurry of emails with no response. I finally decided to call them, was put on hold for a good 39 minutes, and was transferred at least four times. Nobody had any knowledge of their own products or what was happening to my order. When I finally got a chance to speak to the manager, he tells me that the CPU had to be specially ordered and it was not available in stock.
As soon as I asked for a refund, the...Read more
y started making promises that the missing part will arrive within the day and they will have my order shipped out with same day courier. It's been a week since that promise was made and still, nothing has arrived. Order was paid for and my invoice claims my entire order has been shipped but when I called to make sure, they tell me the CPU is still missing. I strongly suggest avoiding CPL like the plague. Their prices may be cheaper but it's not worth the hassle and eventual headache you will get from having to deal with their horribly managed store and poor customer service. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Go to Scorptec. They might be a little more expensive but I'm happy to pay a little extra for the amazing service they offer.Similar opinion? FOR. THE. TIP.
They do not answer phone calls, they don't reply to any emails. They take hundreds of dollars in deposits (which they avoid refunding) and do not deliver the goods (I waited over a month before cancelling and buying from another supplier)...
I will never shop here again.

Terrible service, their warranty department has no idea.
Sent in a motherboard back to CPL since it was damaged upon arrival as i was told to do, almost a year later and i still haven't received it back yet. They have told me that they have it, but only the motherboard and not the accessories that i also sent back with it. At this point i dont really care about the sata cables, i just want my motherboard. So i send several emails and made 10+ calls and no one knows about the motherboard that they said was back from warranty anymore.
Can't believe how terrible their customer service is, no one does a...Read more

Better hope you don't need to return anything!
I've had two products I've bought from CPL over the years that I've needed to return, a mouse and monitor. Both times CPL have pushed me off to the manufacturer, even though I was returning with defects within days of purchase. Both had obvious faults - buggy mouse buttons and heavy backlight bleed. Now PC hardware is never perfect, sometimes things come with defects, it's just how things are - but dealing with returns at CPL is a nightmare. They will do and say anything to get out of dealing with you and your problem, including coming up with ...Read more
all sorts of ways to pin the cause of the fault on you. This is in stark contrast with PCCG, Scorptec and heck even MSY, all of which I've had positive warranty experiences with. Avoid at all costs, but if you must deal with them pray to the hardware gods that you don't need to return anything. They aren't there to help you, in fact if you have a problem you'll most likely be met with rudeness and excuses.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Try to return defective screen for light bleeding, They will move it to the brightest location possi
I tried to return a screen for terrible light bleeding. (light pouring out edges in a dark room which hurts your eyes)
They moved it from where we were at the returns desk and placed it in the brightest spot possible, Where you cant see light bleed and then said "look its ok!" When I explained they were being deceptive and I was aware they got very rude and angry. They refused to test for light bleed in even a dimly lit area, Which is how you test for it.

Pathetic service. Archaic system of buying a product. Have to wait needlessly while they go about looking bored and uninterested. You pay, wait and wait and then someone comes a long time later to give your product. What kind of system is this?

False Advertising
They advertise a range of 1Tb WD Passport external drives which are not in stock and they have no intention of reordering.
I ordered and paid for 10 they claimed the bank transfer took 5 days my bank said 1 day??? Then a further 2 days later refused to send me the colour I ordered and have promised to send a mixture of odd colours ( blue and ruby ).
I can still place an order and pay for the same stock item on their website which they admit they cannot supply.
The worst online buying experience ever, something should be done to stop this sort of behaviour.

Go anywhere else!
OMG.
IF, you can order the part, and they get it in on time, and it works as expected - thats the best the service will ever get. And why would you want more you may ask?
You will not experience good service when you get to collect the product.
You can expect to wait for someone to bother to serve you.
You can expect attitude.
You can expect no help whatsoever.
Do not pay up front. Basic common sense right? Getting a refund will be impossible.
Well, if ANYTHING doesn't go to plan, "service" is not in their vocabulary. Period.
3rd product from them, and I vow to never go back again.
By comparison, Scorptec, a little more expensive, marginally, but the difference in fantastic customer service is miles and miles apart.

Shipped today. Waited 1 week for next day delivery on items that was meant to be in stock on there website. The way it looks they deliver once a week, and order the same amount of time but still take peoples next day delivery fee.
Dodgy.....
