Auburn, Casula, Marsden ParkOn Track Couriers - preferred courier of Costco sydney
As a former Costco employee I really felt that there was a need for a delivery service. Watching customers trying to get home those large bulky items gave me the concept for myself to provide a reliable professional service for those large items. I have since left Costco and started on track couriers I'm now doing this full time as Costco auburns preferred courier service.

New product
It was really disgusting and very inappropriate for Costco to sell even coffins in the store. The coffin display is very upsetting and for me is out of respect. I was even thinking if I still want to keep shopping there. I am a regular shopper since you opened.

A very mixed bag
Be very careful shopping at Costco. Not everything is cheaper here. They have some good quality items but also a lot of nasty American food imports in their Kirkland home brand.
Where Costco has items that are not easy to find elsewhere, they demand good money for them. Where they have competition from other local retailers, the situation is better. Nothing unusual there, I suppose, but it's another reason not to assume you are getting a bargain.
My favourite items here include paper towel, toilet and facial tissues, bin liners, toiletri...Read more
es and other domestic consumables, where some good deals are available in both brand name and Kirkland products. Fresh produce is often the same price or more expensive than the local green grocer, even in bulk quantities, and no better in quality. Check the price per kg. I have found this particularly in relation to onions, cucumbers, melons, lemons etc. I have seen checkout staff at Costco Crossroads being rude and authoritarian on a scale unseen by my eyes at Coles or Woolworths. They bark at people who haven't bought anything and just want to get out of the shop - but on the "wrong side" of the checkout (despite the fact that there are no "no exit" signs exhibited), they bark at customers who put heavy/large items on the checkout conveyor belt, while other staff bark at customers about NOT putting the same items on the conveyor. Yes, this sort of thing has happened to me, too. It's breathtaking. They act like they own you once you enter the store. Not impressed with that aspect of the experience at all.Similar opinion? Paper Towel Quality
We have been regular purchasers of the Kirkland Signature Create a Size paper towels for years and on a recent visit did not recognize them due to their "New Look!" Once we started using them we found that the new look represented a huge decline in quality! The paper is now almost see-through despite being "two ply." What has happened Costco?!

Rude Staff!
Costco needs to send staff for training in customer service. I regret paying for membership and I most definately will not renew it. Never have I come across such rude staff ever!

Just joined and so far I'm impressed!
I just joined Costco yesterday at their Crossroads, NSW store. Joining was easy with my driver's license as ID and we also got a family card for my Mum as we live at the same address. I'll admit I think membership fees ($60) cuts into the savings you make. It really pays to know your prices and think about what you are buying before getting carried away. Some items you must buy a 2 or 3 pack so if you use that amount it's great. I got cat food and canned fruit etc as well as some sweets that you can't buy elsewhere in Aus. But there were other ...Read more
items that routinely go on special at Coles/Woolies, such as Oreos and other Cadbury biscuits, that I didn't buy as it wasn't any cheaper to buy them here. The liquor section had a few good buys too. The bakery though is where I think they are great - lots of cakes, breads and entertainer packs of sandwiches, pies and sushi etc all at good prices. All staff were pleasant and so were most of the customers. Only thing I regret was getting a $2 hot dog/drink combo at the cafe afterwards - not to my taste but I'll try something different next time. Worth it if you live near an outlet and can go often. I regret not joining sooner.1 comment

Waste of time and money!
Too expensive compared to other shops coles woolies or aldi. The only good thing is am going back to get my $60 back. Not worth the hustle long waiting at the counter and poor customer service.

Costco membership is trap
I took Costco membership card 2 times in past 4 year and cancelled.
But this time when I try to cancel my membership card managers at Auburn warehouse says “You can’t get refund on your membership fee $60 because in past you was Costco member two times so you can’t get refund”
When I was talking to him just behind him in big capital letter says “COSTCO gives 100% satisfaction guaranty. If not satisfy you can get full refund of membership at anytime”
I asked him what is meaning of that but no answer. He says I can’t give you full refund. The...Read more

Costco is EXPENSIVE, limited selection, total waste of time & money.
Don't bother. I joined for optical; it's not worth it & the lenses are poor quality. The selection is really limited. They are now always out of the pecans & pine nuts they used to stock. Fruit & veg is outrageously expensive with the possible exception of bulk pre washed mixed lettuce.

$60 Membership fee is not worth it.
Short words describe COSTCO: Bulk goods selling on bulk money, trading place: warehouse. Entry fee: $60.
Compare the price and quantity, COSTCO doesn't sell cheaper than other Australian supermarket. There are only two products I always buy: Roaster Chicken and Muffins. But after adding up the membership fees, they are not attractive anymore. So I don't want to renew my membership card. Not worth it.

not really cheaper
member for 2 years, most items are not cheaper and you better of shopping at Aldi or Wollies.
The yearly Memebership fee is a bit of a rip off
and I don't think I will renew.
The Costco glasses are very good though same quality as OPSM but quite a bit cheaper.
most annoying after you paid (usually Involves quite a bit time in the que) you need to line up again to leave the store and have your purchase reviewed and checked, ridiculous!

Unbelievable experience at the food court Costco Lidcome
My wife got stomach ache after shopping at Costco Lidcome, so I went the food court asking if I could get some warm water for her, or I can pay for a cafe but just give me the water. One of the female staff served me and she refused me straight away, and I tried to explain the reason see if she could help. Unfortunately I was asked to leave very "nicely" and with a very strange smile on her face! I am actually still trying to figure out what she was laughing at?! And I'm also really annoyed by her attitude. I do understand your policy and the s...Read more
afety concerns with the hot water, and I respect that, but I do think it really depends on what kind of situations! I wish the manager could notice this and think twice, what kind of business policy makes your employee such cold to your customer? To the female staff, what if put you in a similar situation, what would you feel if no one gives a care about you! Finally, God bless!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Poor service, Better stick to Woolies
Costco is pulling a serious rort by charging a ridiculous fee for membership, I do not understand why they charge that much when the prices for their items is overpriced and mediocre, I can pick the same items from Woolworths for a fraction of the price.
Staff are pretty arrogant too, When I asked for a certain item they looked grumpy and dumbfounded, Checkout staff seemed smug too. Definitely not going to renew my membership once it expires.

Bad services
You can never find any staff when you need help and the staff is not friendly at all. They are always talking and laughing in groups. They are rude. We paid $60 p. a. to have such service, not worth.

Worst customer service ever!! Staff are racist, arrogant and disgusting!!
I have been to Auburn costco several times and like many other customers, i too have also experienced horrible customer service.
First time was when i was selecting a BBQ chicken. I was surrounded by other customers and we were all merely looking (not even touching) the sealed boxes of chicken. Of course we all wanted to select the one that we wanted (i assume the other customers like me, thought the ones on the stand was too charred to the point of burnt), that is our right as a customer to choose. The staff stood there and said 'its all t...Read more
he same, and to hurry and just take one and go'. I was bewildered by his rude comment. They were obviously trying to shove the burnt chicken down our throats to try and get rid of them. I told them i didnt want these overly charred one to which the staff replied 'then shall i pull out a raw one'. There is absolutely no need for that kind of attitude, it was disgraceful. Another time i was at the checkout with my two guest and i was purchasing some items for them along with my own shopping. My friend asked to know the subtotal for half of the shopping so she could pay me back later, however the staff replied 'are you a memeber, i will only speak to the member'. My poor friend who was too shocked for words just pointed to me. Whether she was a member or not, you NEVER speak to anyone like that. I was so ashamed to have brought her here and caused her to endure such rude service. I presented my card as the member and confronted the staff about his rude behaviour and asked to speak to the manager. He said 'here is my name and my badge, go ahead and complain, do it'. Needless to say this was drawing much attention from other customers who witnessed he blatantly digusting attitude. Overall Auburn Costco has ridiculously bad customer service. I will never shop there again and i will make sure that none of my family shop there as well.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

As a Costco member i felt bullied and harassed
From the moment i walk in the store i was consistently on every occasion, approached by a Costco worker for proof of membership. After passing this first checkpoint, I was also requested on every single visit to show my membership card at the checkout before i pay and in addition to this, whilst i walk out the door after paying for my items, AGAIN my membership card was requested by a Costco worker and they also required my receipt and counted the items in the trolley and cross referenced it with the receipt. This happened to me on EVERY visit...Read more
. This type of extreme "security" got really annoying and made my shopping experience at Costco feel really sour and uncomfortable. This extreme "security" that Costco afflicts its customers with became so bad, that at one stage i was actually even requested by the cashier to abandon my children in the shopping trolley and " stand over there" in an area where the cashier felt more comfortable with me standing. When i replied " that's ridiculous why would i do that for" another cashier overheard me question the instruction and immediately called for backup in a style that FBI agents do in Hollywood movies. After a brief moment I was then confronted by the manager, who promptly upon his arrival "ordered" me in front of all the customers to stand on the other side of the counter in a loud stern voice. He explained that customers MUST stand to the right of the register and trolleys MUST remain on the left. Even if the trolleys carry your children. I replied to him that my wife is already on the other side and i have remained here to supervise my children. He ignored me and repeatedly told me how it was "store policy" and how i "MUST" abide by it. Feeling bullied and intimidated, i did not comply with the managers absurd request and remained in my position. The manger then replied " then i'll get someone to move you" and stormed off.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good for Bulk Buys
As a family of 5, I love buying bulk at Costco. We were thrilled to find many American products that normally cost a lot more to buy in Aus eg, Men's Levi 501s for $50. It's good to see some different, good quality brands and we've become loyal consumers of some of them. I was also pleased to see some of the produce is locally sourced eg American bacon, Grove orange juice, etc and they also sell known brands such as Coke, San Pellegrino, A2 Milk, etc.
You need to know your prices as not everything will be cheaper than the sale price at Col...Read more
es/Woolies but most are. I often look it up on my phone if I'm not sure. It is like a big warehouse and I found it took a few visits before I really got to know all the products and prices. I find the meat is cheap but not the greatest quality. The seafood is frozen so not interested in trying it as I prefer to buy fresh. The only electrical item I have bought so far is the Nutri Ninja (blender). They often have taste testing at lunch time which is a great way to sample products. I have found this helpful as I don't want to buy a bulk item I haven't tried before. Just beware of the rude pushy customers who take all the samples (especially on Saturdays).Similar opinion? Meat packaging SHAM
Bought a meat pack for $41 from COSTCO Auburn. Came home and opened package to find 80%, I repeat 80% of the content was FAT. I could not even feed this to my dog. Went back to COSTO Auburn last night (25/08/2015) and was confronted with the most frustrating, rude, unconcerned manager behind the return desk. I for one will NEVER go back to COSTCO thanks to this person. She is at COSTCO AUBURN and they are the worst people to deal with.
If I could give a negative rating I would

More expensive than you think
Was a member for a year, on average is not cheap for the amounts you have to buy. Unless your one of the typical over consuming larger Australian or a family of at least 10, you wont have much use for Costco. Its gives people the idea they are saving by buying in 'bulk'. However this is not the case. Some items are cheaper. but only by a few cents than at supermarkets (per unit price). Costco is for lazy shoppers/Aussies, if you shop around and buy items from supermarkets when they are on special (especially half price sales) you will save more...Read more
than shopping at Costco, without having to pay membership fees. It tricks the gullible into believing they are getting great deals, but most of it is just hype. Yes you have the odd product that may be a good price, but the lack of variety, and having to buy huge amounts of everything and very little saving on majority of items is a deal breaker.Similar opinion? into smaller serves before freezing as it's too big otherwise. The cheesecake was excellent. But again only good if entertaining as it is huge, but at only $20 excellent value. Also tried a Danish pack, but having to buy a 12 pack didn't suit me. I recommend if you have a family member who wants to go halves on some of these items occasionally as otherwise it becomes wasteful. The pizza at the cafe is also excellent, and I'm told it's the same as the bake at home one in their bakery. I'm yet to meet a rude employee at Crossroads, so am surprised so many other people have had issues.
