Hi, I have had my Eletta for approx. a year and had no issues what so ever and absolutely love the machine.
But just this morning while trying to steam milk, after pushing the steam button the screen shows "preparing steam" (before steaming) on this occasion it continued to show this messaged and sounded like it was trying to steam but nothing. Was stuck at this stage "preparing to steam" for minutes.
Tried turning off the machine and turning on again to only have the same issue, removed the spout and re clicked in place and nothing. The tank is full of water also.
Anyone else experienced this problem??
Will try it again when i get home but may try the reset also, but doubt that would fix the issue.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, my machine was still under warranty.
Was sent off for repairs, got back after a few days.
From memory it was a heating element or pump that needed replacing.
Have since got it back and works as it should again.
Mine had made just over 1500 coffee's. That's unlucky that its causing issues after only 160 coffee's.
Good luck resolving the issue with your machine.

Our delonghi Etta automatic coffee machine grinder is making an awful noise. Previously we had found a metal shard that jammed the grinder. I thought possibilities were it came either out of the machine's grinder itself or from the coffee machine. We could easily remove it with pointy nose pliers. It has worked fantastically since then. Now it is making an awful grinding noise when it attempts to grind the coffee beans. We completely cleaned out the coffee beans and it seems the rotating part of the grinder may be at fault consistently hitting something numerous times each revolution. I have had the coffee machine literally 2 years and one week. Delonghi are yet to respond to my concerns about fixing the issue. Please help as we love our coffee.

Honestly? This sounds like a fault and your should contact Delonghi. I've. Had mine for well over 4 weeks and it has yet to ask me to descale, and what you describe has happened to other reviewers who had faulty machines. I'm sorry! :(

Thank you Mare, I seen another lady had posted also after descaling and steamer just stopped too. I responded to her, but so have others and she never replied with an answer to what was wrong.

My flat whites are made with milk first and then the coffee. As a result it doesn't mix through and I need to stir. Can I change this so that the coffee is poured first and then the milk?

As far as I know, only if you make the coffee by selecting the coffee button then use the milk button. You can use "my milk" to teach it how much you want, but that's still two button presses.

The water spout is the manual milk frother I believe. You should have two attachments, one is the milk jug and lid, the other is a manual frother. I think this is the water spout. Goes in the hole to the left of the espresso nozzle.
