I bought a block of land in Baldivis in Febuary and 2 weeks later signed on with Dreamstart to build my house, to avoid delays I decided to pay cash rather than take on a mortgage. I was told my house would be ready to move into 6 months after council approval. It is now 8 months later and I don't even have a roof on yet. I should have known things would be bad after a trainee was assigned to do my prestart. She had to keep leaving the room to check on prices of things I wanted to upgrade. ... Read more were made. My partner and I are thinking about building another home as an investment and I absolutely know for certain it won't be through Dreamstart. To those people thinking about building... Do yourselves a favour and look at other builders. Dreamstart Homes aren't worth the headache or the money. The initial price and sales person. The service after signing a contract with them is an absolute disgrace. Homestart build houses faster. I've never known a slower builder. Only build with this company if you don't mind getting the run around and alot of excuses.

A pleasure to deal with, finished product is as good as any we've done and it's our 8th. The contact from administration through the entire process was frequent and we kept up to date with the progress throughout the building process. we have built 8 investment homes now and have to take our hats off to dreamstart as the product we got for the money is amazing. There were a few minor problems during construction as with most builds, but again they were addressed and fixed without any fuss. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. Sales rep was easy to deal with and not pushy. Fantastic Value

We just got the keys to our new home in Baldivis built by Dreamstart homes. Can’t believe we are finally in our first home! We looked at about six builders fairly closely before we decided to go with Dreamstart and one or two were tempting as far as design and inclusions went, but Dreamstart really shone on value. My new house is 180sqm with floor tiles and carpets throughout, fantastic kitchen with stainless steel appliances and loads of little extras that I am just so thrilled with, like pivot doors on the showers.

We got our keys last week, and really, we’re wrapped! When we first looked around we were positive we wanted the main things like the floor tiles and the carpets included, and that’s not always as easy as it sounds when you look at the small print. We knew we were on a tight budget, but their finance lady was really good and set it out so we knew what we could get, and our block at Banksia Grove came with fencing and front landscaping which helped a lot. ... Read morel. The rep was like, we should build it in about 6 months once we get to site, but in the end it was a bit quicker, and we’re in for our first Christmas! About $5000 cheaper than the next cheapest house at the size we wanted (180 square meters), and everything included! The rep was really straight down the line about what was in and what wasn’t. Nothing really. We had to wait 3 months for the title on our block, but that wasn’t their fault, and they held the price on the house.

We are now at the stage of having our roof erected. Couldn't be happier. Dreamstart have worked at a steady pace, always something happening. The workmanship has been great, a minor problem occured but is currently being delat with. Im still so happy we decided to build with Dreamstart.

We have built our first home with Dreamstart and from initial consultation with the rep to our final inspection last week, everything has been fantastic. Despite times where nothing happened in construction for a week or so our house finished construction in just over 6 months which is what the rep told me. The inclusion that we got with the Dream home was by far the best value in the market and we couldn't be happier. I would gladly recommend to anyone looking to build to have a look at these guys. We have now been living in our 'Dreamstart Home' for just over a month and are still as thrilled to bits as we were the day we signed the contracts.
We found all the staff at Dreamstart to be fantastic, no question was ever too hard and they constantly gave us updates on what was happening throughout the whole process.
This is our first home, and our first experience of building and we were very surprised that there were no issues, after hearing some horror stories of other people who had built.

Terrible
We had a lot of promises made at the start of the build which did not materialise or changed due to some other excuse. Our build time has been a major issue, initially with a guarantee of meeting deadline of 28 weeks but we are now well into our 40th week, as their rep stated "we say 26-28 weeks but we actually have every right to take up to one year" read your contract fully. Very dissapointed with the quality of some of the workmanship and materials, we've had nothing but hassle after hassle with them and the lack of onsite supervision has shown in the finished product. I would not recommend them to anyone !! Waste of time waste of money as we now will be looking at getting proper workmen in to do the job.
