Such an improvement over all my previous vacuum cleaners
We were using Shark vacuum cleaner for last 5 years, which unceremoniously broke down due to constant usage, and we decided to go all the way and get the best, i.e. Dyson v11 Absolute cordless vacuum cleaner. Might have opted for Absolute pro, but that was not available in our region.
First Impression:
Compared to my previous vacuum cleaners, the box was super small, and the whole thing could be carried in one hand! Which is what I did, carried the box in one hand from the shop to the car. I believe, when packed, it weighs around 10 kilograms...Read more
. In the box: I was surprised to see that the box contained the vacuum cleaner in so many parts. I was a little worried in the beginning, but it was very simple to put the pieces together (the instruction guide is very visual, and the front page itself shows how pieces need to connect), and within 2 minutes my v11 Absolute was ready to use. User experience: Compared to wired vacuum cleaners, this is definitely much lighter and easier to use. You can easily maneuver it with one hand. And what impressed me the most in my first trial was the flexibility of the cleaning head/base (don't know what it is called). It can move in any direction with no difficulty!

Such a great machine
Wow! The battery and power life of this machine are amazing! I love that when I use the eco mode it is so quiet that I can vacuum whilst the kids are asleep, life changing! I have always had dysons and happy to report the quality has remained with the newest model! The boost mode is so powerful And I love that it automatically senses when you change surfaces. I use it on tiles, hard floors and carpet and it performs across all.

V11 Dyson hands on.
Use it on tiles and floorboards. Typical dyson works great. Not many negatives. On max power battery last about 20mins give or take. Not practical for car use as it's got a long big storage. But for house it's doing a good job so far.

Awesome vaccum cleaner
Wow!! This Vaccum is amazing. I am a professional cleaner, I don't have one, but a client has and I use it. It is so easy to use, I did my job so fast with all the accessories and mobility. Wooow amazing, my dream it was to have one, but I don't have enough for that. The only trick I could tell to whom is interested to buy this Vaccum, it os to buy a 2nd battery just in case. If you have a big house you will need it.

It just purrs.... Fabulous..
I just love this vac. It has amazing suction on both timber and carpet. It empties easily and I have yet to run out of battery in my double story, 2 bedroom apartment. Plus I'm stoked with Dyson Warranty as they replaced the battery in my 5 yr old Dyson for free. However, I might just give that one away as I love my new one way too much.

Practical for a guy, or a strong lass
Vacuuming has always been a chore in a house where there are many floor items to be moved or negotiated around in the cleaning process. Ours is a one-level, 3 bedroom, 2 (retired) person home with a mix of hard floors and carpets and rugs. Add to the mix are numbers of alpaca rugs that have long fibers and tend to shed. Then there are the dogs that also shed. So there was the need to have access to an appliance that made frequent cleaning easier than towing a cord-powered, 240-volt machine around, or attempting to use a dust buster to do quick ...Read more
mop-up operations at the risk of sustaining back strains! A stick vac seemed to be the best solution, in principle. The Dyson has a great deal of exposure in the media. Our son has an earlier model which they commend (but they have a central vacuuming system which we don't.) The cost was a major factor in calculations, but we have now been with it for several weeks. Firstly we were impressed with the visual evidence in the canister of the amount an type of material being collected, we were not aware that so much stuff was sitting around but not easily visible. The machine is versatile and generally easy to use with a bit of practice. It is on the heavy side so could worry people with limited stamina, but used in short cycles on a more frequent basis. The tools are well designed and relatively easy to attach and remove. Battery run-time has been sufficient to cover our needs. Over-all, a good versatile product and a step toward completely cordless vacuuming as battery storage technology advancesSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Couldn’t believe how far vacs have come since the v7
We have a family of 5 and a golden retriever. Our old v7 had worked very hard and finally given up. I went to the shop thinking lll get the v10 but came home with the new v11. Having just had the cleaners over I figured I’d just give a quick run over my seemingly already clean house to give it a burl. OMG I was simultaneously disgusted and delighted. 6 empties later! Amazing machine easy to use quite light and going strong 3 months on. Very happy and I cannot emphasise enough the improvement on the past models in terms of auction and ease of emptying.

It has never been this easy to stay clean!
I "absolutely" love the Dyson V11 Absolute! It is my favourite tool and I use it daily on carpet, tiled floors and upholstery. It is easily accessible and ready to go at any time with minimal effort. I use the same attachment on the tiles as I do on the lounge suit and carpet floors. I live in a multi level apartment and this is the first Dyson vacuum cleaner that I can use on the stairs 'easily'. The small size, no cords, and light weight makes it simple to carry up the stairs and use on all levels. I have owned Dyson's for many years and this is by far my favourite.

Love it
Such a great vacuum. Long battery life and love the charge time display. Can do whole house on one charge and cleans thoroughly.
Bit of a pricy investment, but worth it.
I have quite a few Dyson products now and all of them have been great.

Great suction, well engineered and big improvements on previous models
We have a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house. Bedrooms are all carpet and the remainder of the house is wooden floors with the exception of the family room rug. The battery easily allows time to do a whole house clean with plenty left over.
The new dedicated hard floor tool picks up crumbs and other little bits of crap that previous model heads haven't been able to. It also picks up anything right in close to the skirting boards which is good.
The multi floor head also works moderately well on hard floors for dog hairs and such but on the carpet is w...Read more

Fantastic! Love it!
Great suction for a compact vacuum. Awesome ability to perform over carpet and wooden floors without having to stop and change the heads. Everything is easy with this, emptying the barrel is so much better than previous models, there is no need to dig and pull the fluff. There is a bracket which stores the smaller fittings onto the pipe which is a great idea too for storage and ease of use. Overall there has been a lot of positive thought go into this design, a great machine!

The Dyson V11 really sucks (just like it's supposed to)
Okay let's be honest, this is an exxy vacuum and it was a splurge. No regrets!
Didn't have any problem with our older corded Miele vacuum, but wanted something more convenient to grab and quickly clean up random messes and cat hair.
Bought the Dyson V11 just after we'd done a good full-house clean with the older corded vac. Then we got the Dyson and took it for a spin on the 'auto' setting (not even on full power), and man holy, it filled the whole Dyson canister. Where did it find all that stuff?
Now a couple months later, the Dyson is the o...Read more

Blown away!
I thought I’d test out this vacuum cleaner by just cleaning my 2 rugs. They were vacuumed by my corded Electrolux a few weeks ago. I had to empty the barrel 2.5 times after this! It works extremely well for a cordless and it’s no longer a chore to vacuum the house. The only complaint I can come up with is that it doesn’t go as flat as my old vac, to get under the bed or low furniture. It does weigh a fair bit but I have a small house so it never gets too heavy for me.

Expensive but outstanding cleaner
Upgraded from v6 ..noticable difference in size beacause of larger barrel which is excellent capacity and design...very clever and efficient dumping of dirt, suction is very, very good, is deceptive because compared to v6 is quiet...multi power options are good and on auto mode gives very good battery life...the adjustable suction motorised head is brilliant and adjust the power according to surface..comes complete with all nozzles, small motorised head which is good for upholstery and the car, and a motorised soft roller head for wood floors b...Read more
ut the std motorised head adjust automatically to surface type and does very well on all surfaces..its pricey but the quality is excellent, the suction very strong and you wont need a std barrel cleaner when you have one of these.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Dust bin broke after a few months of normal use but Dyson were quick to assist.
Well, its fair to say it's been a mixed experience with the Dyson v11. Its true that we absolutely love the using the machine, and it does a great job cleaning the floors - better than any vacuum cleaner we have owned prior. But a few days ago the dust bin fell to pieces which was a tad disappointing. Dyson - to their credit - didn't mess around and assisted us to sort it out under warranty. Much appreciated. Maybe we got unlucky with our machine but for 1100 dollars you would except the parts to last a little longer...

Hi, Thanks for sorting out a replacement bin under warranty. I really appreciate Dyson sorting this out so quickly. I'll update the review back once I receive the part.

I thought great not so great
A couple of months in this brand new beauty Motor is Excellent. The problem I have is not the many parts it comes with the V11absolute but the small bit constituents of these parts, eg the roller part of the smaller head attachment already broken, the coin on the side of the head probably got sucked it at some point. Entropy increases much faster having all these hinges &clasps on top of seal problems down the years of usage, should have bought the plugin unit instead

Another excellent product by Dyson
I have both hard and carpet flooring. What I like about this product is that it sucks up the dirt which is not visible. I didn’t go for the pro because I don’t like the gold colour, too garish. Prefers to buy the absolute and then later buy the other attachments that didn’t come with the absolute. I choose not to give it 5stars after reviewing a demo on YouTube. One of the cigs in the hard brush appears flimsy. Now I have to monitor it carefully to see if the same problem happens to my stick.

Life-Changing Appliance
It really is. In the time it takes to get all the stuff together for the old mains powered vacuum, I've already finished cleaning at least 2 rooms in the house.
I can usually clean my entire house, including dusting and still have about 25% battery life spare. The new Torque Drive head and auto load-sensing are fantastic features.
There is so much suction, you very rarely (if ever) need to use the boost feature. Med (Auto) is pretty much fine and still gets almost all the dust and dirt,
I thought the bin would be too small, however, I still only need to empty it twice, same as our Dyson DC23.

Excellent performance
Bought this vacuum three weeks ago. I have tiled floors in the living areas and carpet in the bedrooms. This vacuum performed well on all surfaces and you could hear the suction increase when going from the tiles to the carpet. Didn’t need to change heads as the standard head performed well on all surfaces. Battery life was excellent and did all the floors in our four bedroom house without needing to recharge.

Pocket Rocket!
Overview:
This is a great handheld or 'stick' vacuum, with some nifty features that make it a breeze to use.
It moves from carpet to hard floors to rugs effortlessly, and automatically adjusts the suction power depending on the surface your using it on – cool!
The supplied accessories are great, especially the power heads, that do an excellent job of lifting the pile on both long and short carpets.
You can either set it to automatic power control, and it will adjust the power level accordingly, or you can select the power level to give maxim...Read more
um performance or extended battery life. On maximum, the battery runs down significantly quicker, but if you’re just doing a quick zip around before the Outlaws show up and then back on the charge – it’s really not an issue. On max power – it will easily let you vacuum a small apartment without running out.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Questions & Answers
Kirsty P.asked
Curious to why the V11 standing dock is unable to hold all the tools on the stand. What tool is suitable for the stand? I’ve found the smaller motorised head does not fit. When connecting the brush tools the brushes touch the stands pole which presses on the bristles alas the bristles get bent. Is this normal? Is it also normal for the stand to feel unsteady and if not what can be done to rectify this?
1 answer
Dyson Team ..Dyson
While the Dok is made of lighter materials, the base has been weighted to ensure it remains upright.
The tool storage clip for the wand of your machine can also be clipped onto the pole of the Dok. When clipped onto the pole of the Dok, it will be able to hold the Mini Soft Dusting Brush, as well as the Mini Motorised head, just insert them backwards (we would suggest the Mini Motorised head is on top).
We hope this helps, however our Dyson Experts are available via [email protected] if we can assist further.

How well does the V11 Absolute work on carpet with a high pile?
3 answers
It feels as though it works better than my old vacuum for sure. Our carpets are fairly thick
Dyson Team ..Dyson
Most owners find that this machine vacuums thick rugs and carpets with ease, and here's why. When in Auto mode, the Dyson V11 Absolute™ intelligently detects resistance of the brush bar and automatically changes the motor speed for the floor surface, and the level of suction can also be adjusted manually on the Torque Drive head to best suit the surface.
Depends on how high, I have 70s shag carpet and it wont vacuum it.
Retail Enthusiastasked
When using the smaller attachments like the crevice or small brushes there is barely any suction power. Am I missing something or doing something wrong? For ‘the most powerful Dyson yet’ it seems to have woeful suction without one of the large powered heads. HELP!
