Bought for the office. So handy and powerful to clean up quickly and tucks away neatly in the dock. Very powerful and as each clean is for only a few minutes, its perfect. Cleaners do the whole office with large industrial vacuums so this as an in between is perfect.

I use this vacuum daily on tiles and carpet as our dog sheds a lot of hair. It makes vacuuming a dream. The only downfall may be that on max mode it lasts only about 15 minutes, however I feel the normal mode is efficient enough. The normal mode lasts me about an hour of vacuuming which is my whole 4 bedroom house as well as quick vacuum through my car. I don't know how I ever lived without it!

I owned a vacuum prior to this model and I thought it was brilliant. But nothing compares to the Dyson V7. Worth the money. Great product.great on all sorts flooring.

We were struggling with doing the carpeted staircase in our house until we purchased this Dyson V7 cordless vac. It's now a simple chore and no longer delayed or dreaded.

This stick vacuum is fantastic, have used it on all types of floor surface and preforms on them all, a little more effort is needed on carpet but does the job. The battery life is the only thing that lets it down, only use it on normal mode, on max you be lucky to get 10 minutes out of it.

Both carpet and hard wood and tiles. Great suction . Easy to manuvre . Easy to empty once I figured it out. Charge not great but ok I would say 15/20 min

Use it mostly on carpets and it's easy for older kids to help with this..It is very easy to vacuum and clean the car with the interchangeable vaccum..House is dust free

This is fantastic, plug in charge and when ready -go, it gets into all the nooks and crevices that normal ball Dyson doesn’t, we keep it on charge so always on the ready, my daughter loves it so much, she’s taken over vacuuming, so kid friendly, can’t recommend enough

I bought this stick vac after the 2 models of Kmart homebrand stick vac's lost suction.
The previous stick vacs were fine on hard floors but only removed surface hair and lint from carpet.
With the Dyson V7 it is sucking up dust deep in the carpet and comes with much more suction.
The suction will lift a bath mat with ease.
It also outperforms the 400 series RoboVac I had which never really picked up in-ground dust.
There are crevices it won't reach in my sedan even in dustbuster form so for the car I will continue to use a barrel vac with flexible hose.

Prior to purchasing this vacuum I had another and had to use it every second day, often followed by sweeping with a broom in order to pick up the dirt and dust that gathers of a typical day. Safe to say, this other vacuum was hardly picking up anything! And I was constantly trying to pick hair out of the blades so they could spin. Enter the Dyson vacuum, I only vacuum once a week!! It's so easy to use/manoeuvre, easy to empty the dust, and it picks up everything on the floor!! I have both wood, tile and carpet floors of which it works well on all. The battery last long enough for me to cover both stories of my apartment well. Honestly wish I bought it sooner - so long bad vacuum days!!

This vac cleans the floor perfectly, on both hard floors and carpet. I have a heavy shedding dog and also a cat visiting, and it's brilliant. I rarely need my big heavy vacuum cleaner. Is a great improvement on previous Dyson model.

I have mostly tiled & floating floors, with a couple of area rugs. This is my 1st Dyson Cordless Vacuum. It operates exactly as described & I couldn’t be more pleased! As a chronic pain sufferer the lightweight V7 has enormously improved my vacuum usage time. Easy to empty & clean. Well worth the investment compared to some other brands I looked @ prior to purchase.

I purchased this after having a corded dyson as I wanted the convenience of moving anywhere in my house without having to unplug. I generally use the lower power setting as it lasts a lot longer for tiled areas and switch to max power for carpets. I’m able to vacuum my entire house within one charge working this way. For an older model it’s still great quality

This product is really good on carpets and hard floor.

Suction is good.

Some people may prefer to clean the full product including the filter like the normal vaccuma but thats ok.

Spend more time emptying it or unblocking brush and have to make sure you pick any hard bits up of floor because it spits them back out and that’s even when it’s just been cleaned

July 22nd 2022 Update: Useless I

This vacuum is useless every time I use it I have to stop in the middle and empty it or see what is tangled in brush my mam got gtek and it is far in front of this vacuum I spend more time trying to unblock it than cleaning

August 15th 2022 Update: Useless

Use on carpet and hardwood floors! But needs to be cleaned after mostly every use, in order to pick up little bits you have to pick cleaner up off floor and put it down directly on top and then it usually spits it out not impressed

When it's working it's fantastic! This is my second personal Dyson cordless.
The first still works but not with the floor extension - the connections to the motor at the floor end have failed (as has the unit at my work).
My V7 seems to be faulty from new. It sometimes runs for a few minutes, then pulses. Sometimes just pulses.
I understand that Dyson needs to go through a process of assessment, but for me, life is too short to be spent on endless troubleshooting & being on hold

Everything I want in a cleaner:-
1. Cordless
2. Ease of storage
3. Light weight
4. Great suck
5. Manouvrable
6. Low height head that fits easily under furniture
I purchased the Dyson to replace a very disappointing heavy and bulky Hoover Pet Action which I was totally disappointed with from Day 1.
I am so happy with the Dyson 7 and especially the stick design which is cord free - until I experienced this I would not have appreciated the freedom of no cord!!

We were so impressed with this for first 8 months or so. Then it started to stop and start. I followed up every suggestion in online forums etc to fix this problem, to no avail. The time I have spent "fixing" the problem has been frustrating, time consuming and ultimately unsatisfactory. Where to now?

Lightweight and powerful this unit works well on timber and carpet picking up more dust than my ducted vacuum system. Far more convenient to just grab. A joy to use!

I am converted. A proper battery powered vacuum is incredible. The ease of use and speed I can clean the house is amazing. We primarily use this on hardwood floors ad the motor heads works pretty well. On occasion is does kick the dirt around a bit but switching it to Max mode make easy work of this.
We use is on thick woolen carpet as well in our bedrooms and the amount of dust it sucks up is pretty scary considering the floors look clean.
This is so portable, I would highly recommend!!
