This is perfect. I can’t live without it.

published

This is a perfect gear for me. I use this to vacuum my carpet floor. It’s powerful suction features helping me to make my house dust free at all times. I also use it in tiled floors such as kitchen and washrooms. It is light, charges fast and you don’t need to lean while vacuuming, which is saving your back as well.

Great but runs out of battery too quick

published

Flooring is mostly tile with three rooms of carpet.
The cleaner performs well but the battery runs out after about 12 minutes.
The wall device is easy to use when removing and attaching the cleaner.
It is difficult to take apart to empty and clean.

Always gets clogged up and stops working

published

Gets clogged up literally all the time and stops working. Incredibly frustrating. Also, the battery doesn't last long enough. Also, the attachments are clumsy and overall just badly designed. Can't understand why people think this is a good product.

Ergonomically flawed, but very very good product

published

The Good:
Excellent suction and power, good enough to replace a corded vacuum in a small home.
The Bad:
The ergonomic design is terrible, the trigger function that has to be held down makes the machine tiring to use and the trigger guard rubbed my finger raw on first use.

It's my first Dyson and I was very exited about using it out of the box, but I would definitely not recommend this machine, its uncomfortable and awkward to use. I am returning mine after first use.

Update: I have decided to hang onto this machine and am very glad I did. It is still annoying ergonomically but it is so much better than anything else on the market that I will live with the flaws. Updated my review to 4 stars

Life saving vacuum with kids!

published

This vacuum makes vacuuming a breeze.
No need to plug and unplug from to room to room.
Although battery life isn’t long, it’s surprising how many rooms it can get through.
Great for every day vacuuming, especially with messy kids and dogs!
Only down side is it’s not great on carpet, however fab on floor boards, linoleum, concrete etc.
I still use another vacuum for my carpets once a week.

Massive improvements

published

My opinion on the original Dyson Vacuums was that they were terrible and overrated.

These are a very pleasant surprise and thankfully my girlfriend ignored my whinging and read the reviews instead.

Convenient and useful. Makes staying on top of housework so easy. Build quality and design massively improved, now it’s a quality product.

Vacuum doesn't last more than 6 months

published

Lasted 6 months before the head stopped working, called Dyson for trouble shooting and a replacement head was sent, tried the replacement and it's still not working, waiting for a replacement body now. No option to take it anywhere convenient to be looked at and no option for express post/courier, so will be left with no vacuum over Xmas/new year. Poor service and poor product that it doesn't last more than 6 months. First and last Dyson!

Handheld is so good

published

Highly recommend this handheld vacuum cleaner that can also be transformed into a normal one. Vacuum cleaners should be cordless like this one because of the ease of use and not have to find a power outlet. I mainly use the handheld way which is very useful and powerful especially for hard to reach spots that a regular vacuum would have trouble with. Would easily buy this product again.

Very good

published

This is the best vacuum I have ever had. We got it before we got our puppy so we didn't get that one for the animal fur but it still works great. It's amazing to see how much dust and hair gets collected only after couple minutes of vacuuming. Battery doesn't last for too long. We have 1 BR apartment and the battery is just enough for vacuuming out whole place (half of our place/tiles on low and half of it on max/carpet) but if you have more than 1BR you might need to recharge more often which can be annoying.

V7 Cord-Free

Hello

I just wanted to check that like the V7 Animal, the V7 Cord-Free can be left in the charging station all the time without damaging the battery?

Thanks!

All Dyson V7 machines have smart electronics within the machine, battery and charger to ensure they won't overcharge.

It is recommended you leave the machine on charge when not in use, even if you haven't fully used the battery. This will ensure it is always ready for your next cleaning session. The electronics in the machine will ensure the battery charges to 100%, but not over.

We hope this helps, however if you have any further queries, please feel free to reach out to our Dyson Experts via [email protected].

V7 Cord-Free

Hi
What is the length of the charging cord (what maximum distance between wall mount and power point)?
Cheers
Paul

1 answer
Dyson
Dyson Team ..Dyson

The charger cord for the V7 is approximately 1.8 metres long. That being said, to secure the charger to the wall mount, approximately 45 centimetres of the charger cord is woven through the back of the wall mount.

We hope this helps, however if we can assist further, our Dyson Experts are available via [email protected] and happy to help.

Why do the batteries keep dying ?

Because of the high power, it uses the battery quite quick .

No, its because they have a major problem with the batteries that so far to date will not do a product recall on them.

Dyson

While the batteries of Dyson machines are considered consumable items, we wouldn't expect them to require regular replacement.
