This fridge is loud but drinks are COLD
Plus: super cold drinks utilising the middle drawer - which also converts to freezer space if needed.
Plus: extended life of fruit and veggies in the crisper drawers :)
Plus: love the water and ice dispenser, ours is plumbed (we'd never had one before)
Minus: its loud!! the motor cuts in and out, runs about 3 seconds then stops. this happens half a dozen times before it stops. could be an issue with this, have to contact Electrolux.
Minus: compartments inside the doors don't move easily.
Minus: snack drawers are wasted space.
Minus: the dark stainless steel shows ALL fingerprints.

Could have been more thoughtfully designed.
The model is the new dark stainless and while it looks great, the coating is quite soft and scratches easily. It appears as though every fridge brand is connected by design and manufacture with most brands offering very similar interiors making them look like they were from the same factory. The handless doors and drawers fit well with our new kitchen but the unit is very deep so it juts out a bit. The shallow drawer has selectable functions and the cold drinks function is very good. The ice-maker is very quiet. Installation is simple and the w...Read more
ater connection very easy. It is too early to check power efficiency or longevity but the fridge looks robust enough. The interior features are fiddly, especially the adjustable door shelves and the snack drawers under the crispers are just a waste of space, the sliding covers are almost impossible to slide but there is only a tiny usable space anyway. The freezer drawer is okay but really deep. Drop the adjustable drawer and have two good sized freezer drawers. Oh! A strange cash back system. ... still waiting.Purchased in January 2021 at Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Appliances.

Absolutely hate this fridge
I previously had a 10yo Samsung double door fridge with ice maker and water dispenser almost the same capacity After 10 years the flap broke on the ice dispenser outlet and instead of paying $50 for the part decided to treat ourselves to a new fridge.
Big mistake, only had the Electrolux 2 weeks and i absolutely hate the thing the more i use it.
1) No regular door handles. You have to grab in under the door or reach up and grab the groove in the top of the door. Pain in the neck to do with things like a carton of milk in each hand, or a pot...Read more
of stew held with both hands. You got to put it down just to open the fridge. My old Samsung had real handles, you could hook your little finger in the handle and the door was so simple to open even with both hands full. 2) The doors are hopeless at closing. You have to use force to wrangle them shut, but once they are about 3/4 shut they take off and slam with such force. The Samsung from completely open you could give it a light bump with your elbow or hip and the door would glide through it's full range of motion and shut with the right amount of force. The Electrolux doors are bulky, clunky things with an erratic hinge and no amount of leveling of the fridge can fix that. 3) Water dispenser, hopeless for filling bottles there's no real spout that goes in to the bottle. You have to bend over and look up in to the water filler mechanism to try and line the bottle up where the water comes out. How hard for Electrolux to extend a dingus end out a cm or two you can stick in the bottle and make filling easy?

Great product, best I’ve had.
Best fridge I’ve had, keeps fruit and vegetables fresher way longer than expected. My lettuce lasts up to two weeks !! Ice machine is amazing, I’m always filling up bags of ice to freeze for the bigger ice requirements. Plenty of space, adjustable shelves are fantastic. So much room.
Constant temperature. We purchased the grey stainless and I’m always cleaning off fingerprints, but that the only negative. Love it otherwise.

Interior Design needs improvement
We purchased one of these fridge freezers a couple of months ago. Our old freezer stopped working and we didn't have too much time to study different fridges. The one we chose has a dark shiny surface (metallic). In general its not a bad fridge freezer. The two freezer drawers are very deep and spacious. I particularly like the drawer shelf in the bottom (deeper) freezer which pulls out to give surprisingly good amount of storage. The top freezer can be configured/set to work as a fridge which is a great little feature if you don't need a lot o...Read more
f freezer space. the temperature control works very well and we don't have any problems with the functioning of the appliance. However, the bit that we don't like is the design of the inside of the fridge. After using our 2-door Maytag fridge which considering it was a smaller fridge, it had much more usable space inside than our this fridge. The door shelves are either too small to put anything in them or too close to each other. The shelf for the bottle is very deep and even a 2 litre coke bottle keeps falling off everytime we open the fridge door. But the thing that annoys me more than anything is the finger marks on the outside of the door. There are no handles and you pull open the door from the little finger grip under the door. Everytime you open the door you leave very noticeable finger marks on the surface of the door. My wife is constantly telling the kids off and cleans the finger marks off. The next time the kids open the fridge, there's more marks. If I was going to choose a fridge today, I would probably study other fridges better before buying this one. I am sure there are better ones around.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Absolutely love it
I haven't got anything bad to say about this fridge, absolutely love the draw that you can make in to a fridge or freezer, mine is a permanent drinks drawer and you can fit an entire carton of beer and still have heaps of room for chilled glasses . The ice maker appears to be operating fine on my fridge so maybe the other reviewers just got a bad run, i love the option of crushed ice cubed ice and water from same dispenser . It does have wifi but i'm wondering why a fridge needs that at all ....
Only complaint is it shows the fingerprints when people don't use the recessed handles

not worth the money
From the day we plugged this fridge in the ice maker has not worked. It makes Ice but then the bin freezes up and will not dispense the ice. I have tried everything to get it to work and I am now waiting for a service visit to see whats wrong. This fridge is less then a week old and we already have problems. I am not able to get a refund I have been told till we pay for a service guy to check it. I will never buy an electrolux product again. I have now done some research online and this design has a reputation in the USA for being unrelia...Read more
ble. Why does a company continue to manufacture a product that has nothing but problems. This is a waste of $3000 which I believe I will lose as it looks unlikely I will get a refund for this dude product. To update this review, we received a replacement fridge which after the first fridge's ice maker motor broke. The second fridge worked ok for about 6 weeks and then had a error code of ce. Electrolux replaced the electronic boards in the fridge only for it to lose temperature two hours after the technician left. We are lucky we have a old second fridge so we did not lose our food. Harvey Norman have been wonderful through all of this and we have received a refund from them and they are taking this up with Electrolux. I am so disappointed in this product as I have had many appliances from westinghouse/electrolux but I think they no longer make the quality products they once did.Similar opinion? Fairly performing fridge
Its a fairly performing fridge in terms of design--could have been better if the shelving on the doors were made with more options as to setting height..it was good with it sliding left to right but the height is so fixed that you have no room to make it more efficient with different sized bottles and containers.
Vegetable/fruit compartment too small .
Ice maker container does not keep shut and makes a gap whenever ice is expelled..you need to push it so it is fitting shut.

My fridge dispenses water with the fridge door open but stops when the door is shut.
The fridge produces ice but does not dispense it.

Email Electrolux. I found that they were quite fast answering questions about the space required for the fridge. Sounds like the solenoid switch for the water is wired back to front. Might have something to do with the ice also. Make sure you double check the options you have chosen on the front panel.

I have bought the EHE6899BA Electrolux Fridge and it was plumbed in today, but it is making a lot of noise. I was wondering if this is normal as the fridge is trying to get up to the correct temperature??

My fridge constantly runs, never turns off or goes silent, is this normal? It seems to be getting louder too
