Very poor.

published

At first it did what they advertised it would and I was very happy with it. Battery has only ever lasted 20 min. max. Now 15mths later it refuses to work more than a few seconds. I paid for a two year Product Care but don't feel encouraged by the reviews I have read about getting it fixed or replaced. Maybe a store credit it the best idea!

Hopeless.

published

One of the more expensive stick vacs available. The product itself seems fine EXCEPT for the battery life. Within six months, the vac went from lasting 15 minutes to lasting 5 to 7. It is now ten months old and lasts just 3 minutes. TEN MONTHS OLD! Seriously, that is UNACCEPTABLE. The warranty clearly stipulates that batteries are covered only for the first three months. I wonder why? My advice: DO NOT BUY AN ELECTROLUX STICK VAC.

Loved this vacuum till the battery stopped charging

published

I purchased this vacuum from an auction site brand new and I loved it from the start. It had great suction, good manoeuvrability and great battery life (which is the main reason I purchased it over a Dyson), that is until a month ago... Now it only stays on for a few minutes before the battery dies so this pretty much renders the vacuum useless. So disappointed as I have dogs in the house and this vacuum was great on picking up the dog hair from my hard floors without having to drag out the corded unit. In hindsight I probs should have gone with the Dyson :(

Expeced better from Electrolux

published

Great ideas and initially worked really well, however the battery life is a big problem lasting just over 12 months of light work. Not really good enough or fit for purpose. Bought it in Feb 2015 and ran out of battery in March 2016. Thought I would get a battery replacement but have been waiting since then, none available (guess the demand is too high) so I'm left with a useless product that can't be used. Again, not really good enough Electrolux.

So Electrolux stood behind their product, replaced the batteries under warranty and has been working like a treat ever since. Thanks Electrolux, it is a great product still.

Would never buy another one.

Would never buy another one. Only had it just over 12 months and battery died. It vacuumed quite well but didn't pick up crumbs etc that well. When I complained Of course no replacement offered and it costs just as much to repair it. I love having a mini vac and now I have to buy a new one.

did not live to expectations

published

I was very happy with the product when we initially bought it, in Jun 2015, even though it only went on for 20 minutes or so, but just because it was easy to maneuver and there were no wires attached.
Now it dies in a minute once we start, do not know what the issue is, it shows its charging when we plug it in, still under warranty though for 2 years.

This one is 10/10 excellent

Electrolux have a big name to protect and this machine does not let it down. Selling around $160.00 AU, I guess it would be unfair to compare it with a $460 machine, but it is still amazingly good. (No we are not being paid and are not related to anyone in Electrolux). The portability is great and it picks up everything from fine dust, long hairs and sundry things on the floors. Carpets are well cleaned too. Very convenient to have the car cleaning kit as well. It was offered free for a while.

2 failures in 18 months - never again!

published

Very unhappy with product. 2nd machine failed as well. Totally agree with other reviewers who have experienced same issues as us. We have small townhouse and machine only used for clean- ups. I am going to buy a Dyson now - never again will I buy an Electrolux product. Thank you!

convenience is great but reliability is aweful

published

Everything regarding its performance (when it is working!) is really good. Within two years we were on to our third machine because the failures were not related to the battery. What does that say about product design and reliability? Whilst the warranty (not the battery warranty which is only a meagre 3 months) is really good, the inconvenience of not having the machine for many weeks at a time was truely a major pain, not to mention the distance that we had to travel to a service distributor. The concept of this product no matter who the manufacturer is, probably still has two or three years more research to vastly improve reliability.

Lemon Status For Battery Problems.

published

Overall product is a good concept. Having read warranty provisions the manufacturer only covers the battery warranty for 3 months as they claim it is a consumerable item. God help any product that has a 3 month battery life. What will hybrid motor vehicles using this type of battery do?

Pleased And Happy

published

Have found this 18v machine far superior over the old 12v green machine, although understandably a little noisier. Easy to use, glides so much easier, even gets under the bed easier.
Have found finer dust is inclined to gather and gets trapped inside on top of the head. Resolution: remove brush roller and use the hand vacuum with the crevice tool to clean, and dare I say should be done frequently.
Have found the catch/clip on the inner filter a blasted nuisance separating for cleaning. Will chop it off.

The filter cleaning I have commented does not reflect on its performance

Great little machine but......................

published

Bought this from the Good Guys in late June 2015. Now in for repairs late September 2015 ( 12 weeks). Reason off/on button on the stick only works intermittently. The hand held unit still works.
Overall an impressive little performer which gets into places our upright vac can't, and cleans our carpets and tiled areas very well, never failing to pick up large amounts of fluff and dog hair from our carpets. It's light weight and flexibility really makes it a joy to use. If not for the faulty switch I would quite happily have given this unit 5 stars. The fact it now pretty well unusable after 3 months drops that to a 2 star rating.

Follow up: Unit was put in for repairs locally and replaced within 2 weeks under hassle free warranty.

Stopped charging lousy suction

published

Doesn't pick up much at all from my loungeroom mat and stopped charging. Couldn't turn it on then when it did eventually start to work it would. Not turn off. Going to get something more reliable Unfortunately i am very disappointed in this product. I bought it because it was lightweight and i would not have problems moving it around from room to room.

Thank you to Electrolux for contacting me and have put me in contact with a repairer, the vacuum is currently with the repair company and I am waiting to hear from them with hopefully a positive outcome.

I love this vacuum!!

published

I purchased this vacuum three months ago just to pick up hair, crumbs and dust on the tiles in-between my regular vacuuming, as I have two small children. It's fantastic! I can even use it on the carpet if need be, with ease. Very easy to use, glides beautifully and is fairly quiet.
I can't live without it now!

Battery Problem

published

We bought around February this year. It was amazing and did the job. Last month it suddenly started loosing charge in under 2 minutes. This has been the same since. The next time I popped into then Harvey Norman I bought it from I inquired and the salesman told me it was a known problem. I googled reviews and found a lot of reviews with this problem. Why not fix it or come up with a solution than continue selling it. I am stuck with a 2 minute vacuum. This is my first Electrolux product ever. What an experience.

Probably The Worst Thing I've Ever Bought

published

I bought this because I liked the idea of the brush/roll clean and that you can empty it by connecting to another vac. I found it won't pick up anything larger than a pea, it won't clean a carpet with any sort of pile and can't be emptied with another vac. Then one day, I was using it by a window where the sun was beaming thru and I saw just how much dust was pouring from the vent. Basically, you have to empty it and wash the filter after a couple of minutes use or you'll just redistribute the dust from your floor onto your furniture.

Great.....if you can get it to charge

published

Got this at the xmas sales in 2014 and its already decided to stop charging and keeps turning off every 10 secs. Rubbish!!! Don't expect things to die after 9 months of use.

Spend the extra money and get a dyson animal stick!!!! At least you know it will go the distance!

Its a handy piece of household assistance.....if you can get it to stay on long enough to vacuum.

We had the same issue, and it was diagnosed as battery failure in the repair centre.

Ergorapido ZB3012 (Watermelon Red, 3rd Gen)

Hi, this product has stopped working. When I first purchased it, I had to take it to a service centre who replaced the whole unit it with a new one. That was about a year ago and now the unit has stopped working. I am very careful to clean the brush, empty and clean filters, etc.
When turning on the unit it immediately stops with the red light showing.
Can you please give me some advice?
I purchased the the machine on 11 March 2014 from Myer, Brookvale.
Thank you,

That's happened to me if I accidentally suck up clothing or something. It switches off. And I just pull out what ever it was and it's perfectly fine again. Have you checked you haven't sucked up any ribbon or something by accident?
