Great vacuum

published

Bought this from Myer on 6th Jan 2022.
I only use this machine on tiled floors and part of a rug covering part of the tiled floor once a day but I've tried it on carpet as well and it works splendidly. I love the lights on the vacuum head as it's easy to identify particles, especially under the furniture. The only downside is that even on full charge it lasts 15 minutes maximum, and would have given it 5 stars if it lasted a bit longer, as I always end up leaving part of the house unfinished.

Purchased in January 2021 at Myer Online Store for A$199.00.

Great machine.

All my floors and all my carpets and rugs. I use 2 times a day without fail. Once done i feel my house is so much cleaner. I also have my grandaughter with me a few times a week and i know there are no little bits that she can pick up and put in her mouth.

Purchased in December 2021 at Myer Retail Stores for A$219.00.

Best vacuum

published

So great to have in the kitchen for a quick spot vacuum or a full house vacuum.
I use on tiles and carpet, it works a treat in both. Great movement around corners and I love that I don’t need to hold a trigger to keep it on.
I get around 15/20 minutes before recharging.
I also love the hair cutting button that you push down with your foot to cut the hair around the barrel.
I like it better than Dyson, and its cheaper.

Disappointed

published

Spent $200 on this stick vacuum, brand new. It only lasted about 7 months before the battery stopped charging and bits broke off it. Won't be in a hurry to buy from electrolux again. But when it did work it was pretty good. You did have to take the head a part though each time as things would get caught up in it very easily.

Great vacuum upgrade

published

Great upgrade from my previous vacuum. I like that it is upright and motorised - it feels like you are walking a robot. I like that it has the detachable hand held feature and it is slender enough to fit under most furniture. It vacuums my apartment quite well only thing is the battery lasts only about 30 minutes. Otherwise I would recommend.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

published

Bought this from good guys October 2016, after 2 months it stopped charging called the service centre they replaced the hand held unit. However it still didn't work so they replaced the vacuum for me. After 3 months it stopped charging again got sent a new hand held unit that stopped working after two days. Don't even bother trying this product as it just breaks down every single two seconds, and most importantly it's suction power is no where near as good as other vacuums that exist. You can get much better ones in this price so do not buy this vacuum.

Great performance and value for money

published

While I still use my barrel vacuum cleaner for weekly cleaning, my Electrolux stick cleaner is great for quick tidy ups. I find suction to be good on both hard floors and carpet, but wouldn't attempt to do my whole home with it. If I lived in a small unit, I would just use this. It's easy to maneuver and the little lights are great for dark areas. Cleaning the dust bag is very quick and easy.

Nice product

published

The vacuum works great and is a must have. You have to make a few passes to pick up everything, but it cleans very well. The tank fills up quickly and it is easy to remove and empty. The tank is the best thing about this vacuum cleaner. The carpet looks great after you use this vacuum cleaner. This unit does get warm when using it. Another nice thing about this vacuum is that it is quiet.

You will LOVE this Vacuum!

published

I bought this vacuum just after Christmas when the children were on school holidays. I was wanting a simple and powerful stick vacuum that I could use quickly whenever the kids left food crumbs, tiny bits of craft paper, grass from outdoor play, hair etc on my tiles or carpet. This sturdy rechargeable vacuum with a swivel head does the job brilliantly. It also includes a detachable hand vacuum with four attachments to help with sofa and car cleaning. The price is perfect for this powerful little vacuum!

It suck, poor battery life

published

The battery life need improvements, the suction is okay. It is realatively hard to clean the filter and you have to charge it everytime after use. The light feature is good as you will be able to see the reflection of the dust. It is a really loud machine and it is too big to go under sofa.

Very convenient powerful vacuum

published

This is the best vacuum i have ever owned. Was cheap than other brands and easy to use. Suction is great as it has 2 levels of suction. Easy maneuverability and the dust storage is easy to empty. minute vacuum time is more than enough to vacuum the entire home. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Awesome

published

These vacuum cleaners may seem a bit pricey but they are worth every cent. Would recommend for a small to medium area. They have a quite a powerful suction able to get the majority of dog hair as we have a dog that sheds quite a bit, they are also very light and easy to manoeuvre, able to use on carpet or hard floors. They also come with a removable dust buster which is where the dust is collected, it is easily removed and emptied, needs to be done fairly regularly but as I said is easy to do. Battery life is more then sufficient for a small area.

Ticks all the boxes.

So far so good. Had it less than a week, but so far it has proved its worth a dozen times and we are happy. Good suction on timber floors, but also appears to do an OK job on carpet too. Super easy to run around the floors for a quick clean up. No battery issues to report at this stage either.

Disappointing

published

Also my second Ergorapido, I really liked the first one so when it died I bought a more recent version but this one didn't last very long before the battery started to die, now it has and I find that I have to replace most of it, at most of the cost, to get a new battery. Electrolux, please come up with a replacement battery for these. Currently I am back to dustpan and broom while I think what to do.

Lightweight with good suction

published

Goes for ages, about 20-25 mins before it goes flat. It still new so I'd expect it to. I've got a mix of tiled and carpeted floors and it cleans both well. It also cleans the shaggy rug well. Great for a quick once over and saves having to drag out the vacuum cleaner, but I always do a deep clean vacuum every few weeks in between the cordless vacuum. The car kit is super useful.

Handy Vacuum

published

Have had the use of this vacuum for about 12 months now. Not experiencing any of the battery problems that others are, however sometimes the on/off button takes a few presses before it works. Very handy cleaner otherwise. Suction is good and works very well on timber floors. Hopefully battery will last!

Battery life terrible

published

The Electrolux Ergorapido is a pretty good little machine until the battery time starts to deplete within months of purchase. At first you think i can live with this as dealing with the return crap is more of a hassle. Then by about 12mths old it will only last 5 minutes, now 1 minute. Electrolux claim the unit has a lithium battery but don't be fooled these ones are rubbish. Also you can't buy replacement batteries. I contacted Electrolux by email 4 days ago, got their automated message that they would be in contact within 2 days. I'm still waiting. It really makes me question the quality of the brand when considering other appliances.

Easy and light

published

Really easy vacuum to use. Light and the swivel head moves easily.
Using it in a 3 br house on carpet and tiles.
Only down side has been that the extension nozzle head isnt round. So you can't use it on those storage bags where you suck the air out.

Hi,

Sorry, my vacuum is very new, only got it two weeks and this has not happened.
If I was you I would turn it off at the power, leave it off for a minute and turn back on.
See if that resets it.
If that does not fix it....Call electroluxs tech support 1300 363 640. They will definately be able to help with what to do any warranty issues.
Good luck.

We bought our model December 2017. It will no longer charge.

Put it on the charging unit, the lights flash as though it's charging, and then it just stops charging. Suggestions on how to fix this?!?

It is not even five months old!

Thank you.

Hi Audrey, first thing I would do is to contact Electrolux. Your vacuum comes with a 12 month warranty. Also check that the contacts on the charger are property touching the unit. I had a problem when I didn't have the unit hanging properly. Best of luck. Cheers JohnH

Hi John,
Thank you so much for your response! Appreciated!
Yep - had checked the contacts touching the unit properly (I had made this mistake with a previous model).
I called Electrolux and they were FANTASTIC. Was on hold for a while, but when I eventually talked to someone I described the problem, they asked for serial number and they are sending me out a new part - as in the 'dust buster' part.
Maybe it's a regular problem.
So it should be delivered to me this week. I was rather impressed with their response! I was ready for a total headache and having to drive around. But nope - exceeded my expectations.
Hopefully it will fix the problem!
Thanks,
Kate.
