Door sealing mechanism issue
I recently purchased the F&P Quad Door fridge (RF605QDVX1) with exactly the same problem as people are reporting. The sealing mechanism between the top 2 doors is badly designed, causing it to actually block the doors from closing properly - see pic.
The retailer was excellent, replacing the fridge straight away. But the problem is still there with the new fridge - it just doesn't happen as frequently. k. I have the smaller F&P french door fridge at another property and this problem has never occurred. F&P, what has happened to your product quality? I have left a call back message with F&P's support line 1300 650 590, but I'm still waiting to hear back from them. If F&P takes the time to look into this issue, based on my experience, they would and should, recall this fridge model.

Excellent fridge - love the design and ice/water feature
Had this for 5-6 months now - so far so good.
I love the look and design of it! ...firstly it is symmetrical (equal width doors that line up with cabinets above) and very linear (square edged and flat faced), which suits our new kitchen perfectly. We chose this model as the clearance required around the doors is small so it looks very sleek in the cabinetry (plus it had a water dispenser and ice machine!). assume that is not possible since it is so flat faced (my old fridge was self closing but was it was also sitting back on a noticeable an angle)... at least there is an alarm to alert us if we accidentally leave a door open.....overall the design of the fridge makes up for this lack of self closing doors so I still award the 5 stars I love the ice machine and the cold water dispenser features. Work really well! Recommended.Purchased in March 2021 at The Good Guys for $2,810.00.

Stepping down from a water and ice pumping behemoth into this lovely model was the best fridge related decision I've made in a very long time. Despite being 180litres smaller than the mountain that would not chill, the F&P 605 does everything I want it to and more. Suddenly I can see - I can see everything in the fridge with ease. This fridge is quiet, confidently efficient and has more than enough room for the largest platter, a large box of fresh produce, six difference cheeses, a whole shelf of condiments in random glass jars and still room for a dozen yoghurts that were on special last Thursday! Absolute LEMON x 2
I bought this fridge, set it up exactly as manual says and it worked fine. The overnight it stopped freezing/cooling in the freezer space (no it wasn’t just the variable space and it was both sides) I lost hundreds of dollars of food. The fridge also wasn’t cooling properly, drinks were not cold etc. Did the troubleshooting but nothing worked. We had to take this 150kg product back to Harvey Norman and swap it (who doesn’t love moving 150kg fridges around after you’ve just spent the day before doing the same thing - this takes 3 men!).

Great refrigerator
Purchased this fridge in January and am happy with my decision. Quiet motor and performs well. Having the four doors is a great feature as you only have to open the door you require without opening the whole fridge. Only two criticisms - the water dispenser in the door still drips when you take your glass away after filling even though the manual states that this will stop after a few weeks. Secondly, this fridge shows every finger print on the front doors and therefore requires constant cleaning to get rid of the fingerprints.

The sealing mechanism between the top doors isn’t slotting into place smoothly. We have to push the left hand door to which it is attached with a bit of extra force and it makes an unhealthy clicking noise like the resistance level is far too high. My thinking is that it should just glide into place, or otherwise it will just break one day soon.

I have the same problem and have to manually depress the mechanism to close the door but it only happens sparodically. I have had the fridge 4 days and haven't used it as sometimes I can't get the door to close at all. F&P came today and applied silicon to the mechanism and it seemed to be ok until I started to transfer items from my old fridge to new one. I don't know if the constant opening/closing is a problem but the mechanism jammed again. Have reported the problem again.
Thanks Denny T. Could I ask that you record the outcome of the next F&P visit. We are just waiting for some kitchen reno’s to be completed with new cabinetry/position for the fridge. I’d rather solve the problem then. We’ve been using the ‘digital’ method to guide the latch into its groove rather than forcing it..probably needed 30% of the time.
