My machine is 5 years old. Recently I have had trouble setting the machine. My regular setting is Fast and ECO 33 minutes. Lately when I press the middle button to start the cycle it displays I to 10 and does this several times before I hear the motor start. What if any does the lock system far right do?

Hi Janet,
We just had very bad experience from them. Any product might give you problems but it's about customer service and this is non excisting with them. They dont answer calls, return calls or keep you up to date. All of the best.

Hello, my top drawer when open tilts and falls out! the only reason why it doesn't fall over is because of the bench it is under preventing it from falling. What has happened lately that hasn't happened the last 2 years for this to start occurring now?
1 answer
The screws that fasten the dishdrawer into the cabinet have fallen out.
The top drawer has a larger pivot distance from front feet.
Turn power off, remove bottom drawer, and insert new screws from the inside into cabinet.
Do not screw from cabinet into dishdrawer - you can damage the lid mechanism.

Can the double dish drawers be installed apart from each other in the kitchen?

No, F & P have a different model that looks like half one of the double unit.
No they cannot. They come as a single unit with 2 drawers. but you can buy two single drawers from quite a few brands

Hi,
Double draw dishDrawer dishwasher DD60DCX7 continuously makes noise for more than 12 hours after washing is complete. Any ideas?

Honestly? Dump it and get a new one. This model is beyond the worst dishwasher I have ever had. Once these things start they never stop and repairs quickly add up to more that what a new one is worth. It is likely the heater pump to dry not shutting off at the end of the cycle. Its just one of many issues I have experienced with this particular model.
The noise is the drying fan, it draws .12Watts and keeps air flow through the tub so that dishes dry and reduces smell from stagnant water.
it is normal.
Open drawer and it will stop.

When I pull the lower drawer the left edge touches the floor, how can I adjust it?
2 answers
Hi, the dishwasher has adjustable legs to suit different height benchtops etc. if you open the bottom drawer you should be able to see the legs. They are like a long screw on a post.
Cheers!
If you had an installer (from the place you bought it) install it ask them to come back and re-adjust the legs. All for of them, front and back, to lift it up from the floor.
If you installed it yourself remove the lower drawer and place it to the left, on its side on a towel or cloth. Re-adjust all the legs using a wrench and also use a level to insure the machine is level. Try to insure during this process of adjusting and leveling that the top of the machine is as close to the underside of the bench as possible (allowing for any bench overhang). The leveling insures that it drains properly. Then replace the drawer. If it is still scrapping on the floor, the kick plate might need to have a Mill or two taken off of it. There are two screws one on each side of the kick plate just back them out and the kick plate should slide off you will see the grove lines on the back of it for cutting off about 2 mills at a time. Then replace the kick plate. Also insure that you have but the side and/or the top screw togels into the machine and screw them (when the machine is finally in place) to the side of the cabinets and underside of the bench. If you don't do this last bit the machine might fall out ward with the wait of the drawers when they are pulled out.
Kind regards and good luck

Dishwasher tabs dont fit as 2prongs sticking up in the little compartment. Is this normal and can it be fixed?

My last one the Tablets used to drop out sometime during the washing process, I believe these washers work differently as when the cycle is finished the Powder compartment is not open. The Spikes are there to prevent you using the tablets, so us e the machine the way it was intended and do not use the tablets.
Mine came with small square tablet holders that fit in the cutlery holder next to the handle on the basket. So this is obviously where you put your tablet if not using powder. Hope this helps.
@Sonjoy is absolutely correct.
The user manual even tells you to use the small tray inserted into the cutlery holders for tablets. You can even just put the tablet in the bottom of the drawer if you prefer.
We have been using Finish Powerball tablets for the last year and they work well. Purchased 330 of them for about 16c each. Bargain.

My DD60DCW7 bottom dish drawer has broken handle. I have a replacement but don't know how to fit it. Can anyone help?

Turn machine off at the wall. You will need long nose pliers. There are two plugs on either side of the dishwasher drawer. Twist and pull those out. The entire front panel will pop off leaving the handle. You should then slide the handle to the left (the entire control panel is a part of the handle. Once its slid off, unplug the display screen from the main part of the dishwasher - taking note of how it plugs in.
You can removed the the display screen from the handle by popping it out with your fingers or gently with a flat head screw driver. If you didn't receive buttons when you bought your handle you will need to be carefull not to break the exsisting ones
Transfer the display to your new handle. repeat steps in reverse. Connect wires to main part where you disconnected them for earlier, slide handle on (left to right), pop the front piece back on and put two plugs back into side of dishwasher.
If you google replacing dishdrawer handle there is quite a lot of videos showing you how to do this,
Hope this helps :-)
Thanks Sahri. I looked at google and found plenty of videos but non on replacing handles, so I bit the bullet and followed your instructions. Worked perfectly!
Dismantling was very easy. Re-assembly was also easy, a little difficult replacing the front panel but eventually got it fixed.
Thanks again Sahri.
I've had the same issue. Thanks Richard for the original post and Sahri for the solution to the problem. Tried your advice Sahri with good results. The front panel was bit difficult to re-assemble but with a little persistence it slotted into the handle again.

I've been warned by my cabinet maker that steam can sometimes damage the integrated panels. Is this a common issue? Are some panel materials more suitable than others?

Damage to panels will not occur if correct installation and venting instructions provided by Fisher and Paykel are followed.

I am looking at replacing my DD 603 if it is not economical to repair.
Fisher and Paykel recommend DD60DDFX 7 but the reviews for this model are horrific.
Any suggestions??

Don't get it, we have this model and it's expensive rubbish. We have had two call outs to fix flooding drawers in 4 months. The washing performance is only ordinary because they don't have a top spray arm. You end up with dirty water pooling on anything that is hollow on the top. The fast or Eco cycles are not worth using as the washing performance is so poor. As a result, these machines are far from efficient. The baskets are poorly designed and difficult to stack. If you stack dishes too closely together they don't come out clean, which is obviously due to it only having the one spray arm. Save some money and buy a Miele, they are cheaper! The only good thing is the drying cycle.

The button to change the mode is very intermittent! Sometimes a light touch will change it, sometimes, pressing it hard does nothing! Same with the Eco button. Am I doing something wrong?? The dishdrawer is 2 weeks old!

Hi Thank you I did some research and found that it may have been a F1 Error which is the flood switch. I reset the power and made sure under the second drawer was dry and now use powder instead of tablets. All working well so far!!!

Press the draw button to switch between draws you want to control. (They will get highlighted as u switch. If you highlight the top draw and press stop it ill dyop thr top draw and bottom will keep going.

Your answer doesn't make sense to me.
I want to make both drawers work at the same time.
Can you explain again please
I bought mine yesterday and was told that both drawers can operate independently, and it says the same in the instructions. By way of the word "can" being there as opposed to the word can being absent, it is virtually stating that both drawers operate simultaneously but the machine has the added feature of them being able to operate one at a time. It would seem however, they cannot operate simultaneously, which is a real pain. If this is the case I feel like I have been ripped off. Hopefully I am wrong and it is just a matter of the instructions being incomplete. I would also like an explanation.
