Good Air con
I bought the Fujitsu reverse cycle air con last year for my lounge room. It is working excellent and cools or heats the room effectively and when the air con runs it produces no noise. It easy to use functional remote control. It comes with five year warranty and good energy rating.

Necessity
Great unit. Could not have gone through summer without it. Cools out lounge and dining area well and efficiently. Power bills appear reasonable despite the fact we had it on almost all of summer days and nights in some instance. Settings and temperature are also easy to adjust - user friendly.

Quiet as a mouse!
So quiet and efficient. Have had ours for over a week and it does not feel like winter inside our home... im wearing a t-shirt and shorts! Looking forward to summer as well. It took 2.5 hours for the installation and instantly working. Getting $200 cashback too. Can't complain. Toodle-loo's oil heater!

Perfect!
After living without aircon for 7 years, it was like christmas day in our new apartment!
Super quiet to run, we have had it running mosts nights over this summer and we haven't had an extravagant electricity bill. Very economical. very easy to use, even for someone like me who is totally computer literate but can't work a damn remote control!

value for money and efficient
whisper quiet, installation was a breeze (get it?) and is very user friendly. the indoor unit is very aesthetic model to look at and the outdoor unit is compact and takes up little space. we got the cashback option so be sure to not throw your boxes away before getting the model number for both the indoor & outdoor units and the serial number for the outdoor unit.

Efficient and quiet
The 5kw Fujitsu unit is a breath of cool air during this last hot spell on the east coast. The indoor and outdoor unit are also very quiet and the operation manual is written and laid out in an easy to understand format, which tells you everything you need to know to get the best out of this product. Would recommend to others.

The Quiet Achiever
Complete control over interior room temperature. Very quiet and quickly maintains the desired temperature. Remote Control easy to operate just dial the temperature required. We were able to watch the Australian Open in complete comfort when the outside temperature reached 42 degrees. Highly recommended by the our electrician who arranged the installation. Look no further this is the best on the market and particularly effective on humid days. As it is reverse cycle it will be used all year round when required.

It works great.
Yes, I am very happy with it, works great in the sweltering heat, not a noisy unit. Had it installed by trade. Very easy to use. I recommend this product to all. The sales person was extremely helpful when we purchased it. Make sure you check out each item before purchase.

No complaints
I recently installed a 5kW unit in my 2 bedroom home unit in Sydney. It seems to have plenty of cooling capacity. Outdoor unit is quiet and indoor unit quiet except on high fan speed which I think is ok. I and other family members have installed five other Fujitsu units mostly 3.6kW cooling, and there have been no issues with any of them. The 3.kW unit in my holiday cabin is nearly 5 years old, and has been trouble free. Very effective heating and cooling.

With every nod Yes
I do not know why everyone is so negative. We have now had a brand new ASTG18KMCA from the first week of Winter 2016 and have no complaints.
I have an open plan, high ceiling brick home so had great difficulty holding my frustration in with the old air-conditioner. After online researching, I felt I had to go with the Brand Fujitsu and I haven't looked back.
I'm not wearing a jacket whilst the air-con is on. The air doesn't just go out the door/windows and it is extremely quiet. Remote control with many settings fast and quick.

Rubish
We have a few brands of air conditioners in our house but I thought I would try Fujitsu due to it being on sale. I have to say I really regret my purchase. It takes far longer to cool the room down compared to others and is also nosier to the point I don't read in that room with the AC on. We had an issue with the remote and trying to get assistance from Fujitsu was REALLY painful. Will never touch Fujitsu again.

Quiet, effective and economical
We bought a pair of these units From Ezy Air in Camberwell, Victoria to cool the main living areas of our house and are very pleased with them. The temperature control is fantastic, keeping both areas to within 1 degree of the setpoint. Although we haven't yet had any 40+ degree days, they cope without any strain into the mid-30s.
Both indoor and outdoor units are quiet and the inverter technology means that they are never running harder than they need to be.
Unfortunately at the time we requested a quotation, Ezy Air wouldn't do an onsi...Read more
te quote, instead sending a checklist via email. They let us know via SMS when they planned to arrive and were at our property early. Partly due to the fact that no one from the company had visited, when the technicians (Andy, Tom, Josh and Tristen) arrived, the location of our rooftop PV installation meant that they had to relocate one of the outdoor units from where we had planned it. Nevertheless, they did an excellent job with the installation, cleaning up after themselves (apart from a couple of small pipe offcuts outside) and both have been trouble-free in the five weeks since).Similar opinion? Excellent Engineering & Efficiency.
I have 1 x ASTG09/12/KMCA & 2 X ASTG09/18 KMCA Units.
Professionally installed by JMJ Air Conditioning & Heating in Melbourne.
The professionalism of the Installation & Excellent Engineering of the Indoor/Outdoor Units, has resulted in absolute
satisfaction for me & my wife in this big 2 storey house we live in.
Yes, the louvres are very well designed to deliver a true blast of conditioned air, but that was just the ultimate test, but have always used it on economy, low outdoor noise function & auto fan mode. Whisper quite is all we can say both when heating or cooling.
Thanks You Fujitsu.
Syrus & Freida.

Amazing! Brilliant! Love it.
I recently purchased this unit to heat and cool living area of 35m2. This unit heated my entire home! My house is approximately 10 squares and i had to turn it down as it was too hot in far bedroom. It is quiet, efficient, extremely powerful and throws air around like a hurricane on powerful mode. Make sure you get it installed by a compotent professional who understands the specific requirements of how this unit needs to be installed. After speaking to a few installers it is quite apparent that this is a common problem with these units. Anyway highly recommend this unit and how quiet it operates. Thankyou Fujitsu! Will definitely buy again.

Very disappointed!
Brought Fujitsu lifestyle unit due to marketing information stating it was efficient & very quite. It is neither- indoor & outdoor are both very noisy. When using the heating mode, the temperature has to be set at 29 -30 degrees to achieve a minimal comfort level. Have previously had a Panasonic that was awesome when both heating & cooling were used, with the bonus of less noise.

Very efficient for it's capacity, clever design
My installer did not use the supplied expansion type fittings for the refrigerant pipes and used traditional flared fittings instead. These supplied fittings have been known to cause gas leaks it appears . Apart from this circumvented issue, thanks to the expertise of the installer, this unit has an energy efficiency (eer) in cooling mode of over 4.0 and for a 5 kw system that is amazing. It is quiet inside and out and the inside unit air louvers have an aircraft wing style design that seems to push air a good 8 meters even on the lowest and al...Read more
most imperceptible noise fan speed. Early days with this unit for me but so far the engineering and efficiency appear to be exceptional and it exceeds expectations. It also appears there are no holes for vermin such as mice and geckos to enter the external unit and cause the wiring and control board to fail as i have had happen on other brands1 comment

Fail R32 connections
I guess as a installer everyone must read installation manual before start blaming the product. Adding to this make sure you have the torque wrench not the cheap shifters and set the torque accordingly to the pipe size. I have installed so many R32 units and not even a single connection has failed so far. Also use nitrogen for pressure testing at least (500 PSI) . If you follow these steps there is no chance of having leaks on indoor compression fittings.

Poor Sales Advice
I bought a bulk deal for my business and was told that each of the 7 inverters would be $200 cheaper because of the cash back offer. Basically I have done $1400 because of the way the conditions have been written and from the sales people not understanding the conditions. Even the one I bought for my own house is not eligible because by the time we got around to claiming the $200 back the promotion was over. This was not explained to us by the sales person. I am bitterly disappointed by what has happened here with Fujitsu and Harvey Norman and I will not trust any future offers. I advise all customers to be cautious.

After this unit is turned off a loud clicking noise is heard for few minutes, as still under warranty is this a serious issue my installer says because outdoor unit piping to indoor unit is approximately 8 meters of tubing this distance could cause some sort of surging and noise as i am a engineer i am doubtful as tubing is full. So how can surging occur?

How much an hour to run this item?
1 answer
I have the 7.1kW model and it really depends on which mode you use and what the temperature is outside. On the lowest fan setting in energy saving mode it's usually around 50c per hour, but when my husband puts it into turbo mode it can get up to around $1.50-$2 per hour. But we usually have it on a low setting because I don't like it blowing too much.

Some further information on this model. Works very well by the way . I noticed my energy meter was showing 80 watts power consumption in standby mode and i turned off the mains isolator switch to the ... Read more
unit. This was a "phantom reading" as i checked the electricity meter wheel rotation and it was actually less than 10 watts Fujitsu quote just under 5 watts standby consumption heating and cooling modes, and it seems close to this . Fujitsu informed me that the clamp on wireless energy meters can read inaccurately with some low loads such as this air conditioner in standby. So if in doubt check your electricity meter wheel rotation and calculate the watt hours from that by dividing 1000 watts (1 kilowatt hour) by the number of rotations to get watt hours per rotation . It can be done very quickly and easily as the meter tells you on the face how many revolutions of the wheel per kilowatt hour .After all that's what you get charged for and that's all that matters !. There is a crankcase preheat function which comes on in cold climates (possibly around 5 degrees Celcius or less) . This is 37.14 watts according to fujitsu .This may be something to monitor in a cold climate if it is on for a significant portion of the day it really adds up and cant or should not be turned off. If the unit is running the crankcase heater will be off as the motor running provides the heat needed.
