Keeping cool
We got this as our gas heater wasnt heating the whole home it was too small but this seems to get the rest if the home . The air con works great I have very small living area and its actually too cold for me but the heating I don't like because it hits me in the face but that's because of where we had to install it so I can not fault it at all apart from saying eould be great for a bigger living area and I live in Tassie so barely need to use the air con. The remote is a bit hard for me to workout but I'm not real good with these things either. Cant say about maintenance etc yet. Has a bit of noise to it though and have to have television volume turned up.
Purchased in August 2021 at Harvey Norman for A$2,499.00.

Inadequate warranty
I bought a fujitsu inverter, heat & cool model in August 2015 with a 5 year warranty covering labour and parts. However, when it failed to work in July this year I was told by the Fujitsu service agent that came out that a gecko had got into the outdoor unit and caused a short circuit, hence the pc board had to be replaced with a "coated" one. He quoted labour charges of $110, which i believe is unfair as Fujitsu failed to provide a board fit for purpose. An outdoor unit is sure to attract geckos, frogs, insects etc as as such Fujitsu has not...Read more
provided this protection for this unit. In addition, when i requested Fujitsu to replace the board free of cost, ;as the product is still under warranty, they refused and quote their warranty clause which states failure due to vermin going entering, is not covered. It seems that Fujitsu has built in this clause just to cover their liability, with no thought for the customer. I chose Fujitsu over others as they are known to be a reputable company., i am very disappointed both with Fujitsu and Harvey Norman, Townsville (where i bought this air conditioner) who insist that the warranty will not cover the fault. In short, the warranty they offer is inadequate, as the outdoor unit should have been protected from vermin entering the unit. Inadequate warranties such as this one, are useless to the customer, especially ones like me, who are on a limited budget and can ill afford to pay the labour costs. These warranties should not be allowed to exist.1 comment

Warranty inadequate
I purchased a Fujitsu air conditioner (wall mounted inverter) in August 2015 which came with a 5 year warranty covering labour and parts. In July 2018 when we tried to switch the air conditioner the lights on the indoor unit were flickering and the air conditioner did not work. The product is still under warranty. When we rang Fujitsu, they put us through to their service agent who after investigations found a dead gecko in the outdoor unit, and told us that this had caused a short circuit. He said he would replace the PC board with one that ...Read more
was coated with a substance which would ensure that should any gecko get in there would be no short circuit in the future. The service agent then said Fujitsu would replace the board, however would charge for his labour ($110). I then spoke to the manager of Harvey Norman, Townsville, where I bought the air conditioner and who that the warranty did not cover this fault. From researching this issue I find that if the pc board had been coated in the first place, there would have been no short circuit. Hence, I was sold a piece where the PC board in the outdoor unit was not reliable and had inadequate protection for expected events like frogs, geckos, insects etc entering I wrote to Fujitsu again to complain about the unfairness of the warranty and requesting that the board be replaced free of labour costs as the fault was more due an inadequate protection offered by Fujitsu to keep the outdoor unit in good working condition. However, they have refused and it seems that the warranty clause quoted by Fujitsu, has been drawn up for their own protection, which makes the warranty useless and unfair for the customer. Unreasonable warranties such as this one should not be in existence. I feel very disappointed and let down by both Fujitsu, whom I favoured over other companies due to their normally good reputation, as also by Harvey Norman where I have bought all my white goods, computers and software.2 comments

hat is sure to attract vermin. It is therefore reasonable to say that the pc board was not adequately protected. As Fujitsu was a recommended product I believed that the organization would stand by any defects or shortcomings in their product. However, I now think your organization is not standing up to its reputation in insisting that the product is perfect. I have another 3 rooms where I would like to fit in airconditioners, but I am now a very disappointed customer and will not buy Fujitsu again. SabSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great for an Aussie Summer
We got this air conditioner to replace an old clunker. It's heaps better. It's pumps out the cold air without being too noisy, the air flow can be directed both horizontally and vertically, and it seems quite efficient. We haven't noticed much of an increase in our power bills despite using it a lot.

Nothing is better
Bought 2 of them. 1 for the bedroom and the other dor the living room. Both units run efficiently with auto cool function at 24degree Celsius. Run smoothly and quietly all night long. Very happy with my purchase. It's the best investment ever since Sydney temperature frequently reached 40 plus.
