The Perfect Phone!
Had this for a year, moved from a Sony Xperia to Google Pixel. Originally wanted the small one but it was sold out. Turned out the XL with its larger screen was better for working, games, watching videos and just about everything else. Every about the phone was perfect for me, I mostly use my phone for work but does spent a lot of time playing games and watching videos. The battery works great still after 1 year. Very durable and I only had a screen protector, dropped it a few times while walking but nothing except minor scratches. It doesn't come with headphone jacks but the USB converter/adapter works just fine.
Purchased at JB Hi-Fi Retail Stores.

Very average mobile phone.
I leased my google pixel 2XL with telstra in 2018.It has been a good phone and preformed ok,but the messaging function is just ridiculous.Trying to send a photo with a message to anyone that doesn't have a Google pixel phone is almost impossible for the receiving party. You have to download a Google app to receive photos and messages! I have installed a messenger app off playstore so I can send my mum photos of her grandchildren, and she can receive them without her having to download the Google pixel app.I will be going back to a Samsung mobile phone when my lease expires.Would not recommend a pixel phone ever.
Purchased in February 2021 at Telstra.

BEST phone I have ever purchased
The Google Pixel 2 camera is fantastic and true to its statement that it is by far the best on the market in phone cameras. I love the finger print security and the automated updates that ensure I have the most recent additions/changes. The Google phone is just so smart and easy to use. Super battery life. By far the best phone I have ever owned (and I've been using a mobile for 20+ years). Durable, bright and easy to read Would only buy Google again now.

Great fast phone that takes good pictures
I bought this phone second hand on eBay. Unfortunately there seems to be a problem with the fingerprint reader that makes it a little unreliable but considering I saved money by buying second hand I don't think it is too big an issue. This phone overall has been very good. I love how I get security updates as soon as Google releases them. It is fast and reliable and the screen is bright enough to see in the sun unlike my previous Google Nexus 6p. I am able to easily screen record what's happening on my phone so I can easily report bugs to app developers. There is also a small problem with the speakers buzzing but this isn't hard to fix. Overall the speed and capabilities of this phone are great.
Purchased in January 2021 at eBay for $410.00.

Best android phone ever!
Camera quality is the best that I have ever on a smartphone. It can takes photo just point and shoot in any conditions because the software that Google developed is really that good.
Durability is perfect since it only has small part of glass on the back. However, screen brightness is not the strong area of this phone but it is usable in direct sunlight.
I uses this phone for mostly listening to music, browsing webs and streaming videos. Ultimately, the phone runs extremely smooth no lag at all.

Great phone
Overall happy with the pixel 2 xl. Best phone I've owned and ill be buying another pixel when this spits the dummy
Pros
Smooth operating system as the phone hardware is made by Google thus it's all geared at running Android with Google apps. I've had other phones with their own apps on the phone that you can't uninstall and it made the system clunky.
Fantastic camera all synced with Google photos.
Great battery life

Cons Curved glass screen so it's very hard to find a suitable tempered glass screen protector as most on the market to fit this screen only have adhesive around the border of the screen protector so they end up falling off or not good tactile feedback. The volume button popped off and I couldn't find it. Ordered another one which just clicked back in. Still shouldn't have fallen off as easy. Not an issue now as I have a phone case to keep it in place.Purchased in January 2021.

Definately an upgrade in Android devices
The camera quality is crazy good and video. After having so many phones freeze on me in the past I'm happy to finally have a phone that matches my speed in typing and interacting with the phone. It backs up everything to Google Drive. No more memory cards and you can look back on all the photos with a search bar. It works like a mini computer.
Purchased in January 2021 for $980.00.

Almost perfect
I bought this phone for my daughters birthday and it is excellent. The photos are second to none and you can adjust them post shot with outstanding results. My daughter used the translator on her European holiday and it never skipped a beat in Greece, Switzerland, Italy and Germany. It works seamlessly with Google Home and the only reason it did not get 5 stars is because I feel its a tad expensive (but Apple have made it appear cheap recently). I would actually rate it a 4 and a half stars.

From iPhone to Google. Pleasantly surprised.
I have always had iPhones since my Nokia brick died in about 2010. Since then iPhones have always been user friendly with a good camera. Well this year on my third iPhone upgrade I decided to be adventures and try something new. I bought the Google Pixel 2 XL. I love a good camera with my phone and this one has a great camera. The interface is pretty user friendly, even after being with apple so long, and I just enjoy the little things like how intuitive the calendar. It's been about a month and I'm still getting use to it but I'm very happy with my purchase.

Amazing phone!!
I recently moved from my iphone comfort zone to this android master piece and so far it hasn't disappointed. I picked one up on contract with Telstra and I am really impressed with amount of flexibility you get with Android. Security patches are quick to arrive and with various apps, its quite easy to customize look of this device. Photos are amazing and I love the fact that all photographs can be stored on cloud for ever for free. I will highly recommend this phone.

Perfect phone for me
I have been using this for a month and I really enjoy using it! It has everything I need. since I love organising my life and files. I enjoy the selfie portrait effect and a unlimited photo storage. SO I don't have to worry about deleting photos and videos when needed. Google assistant is the best!! Just say 'Good night' and it'll set everything you need for the night.

Honestly this lived up the hype. After watching reviews on YouTube from Marcus aka mkhb and Lau aka unbox therapy I was already a fan. If you've been watching the videos about blue tint on the phone when you look at it on an angle you will see it. I saw it but honestly it didn't bother me because I don't look at my phone on that angle a recent update from Google gives you an option now to change your colours from natural, boosted and saturated.
My original order a 64GB from jbi hifi was dead on arrival link provided https://youtu.be/zWvRBQkB...Read more
dZI I took it back the next day and got a replacement and upgraded to the 128GB version. I store my Spotify playlist on my phone which is about 40GIG no problem. The videos and the photos get uploaded to cloud on wifi when you get home as a default. The phone will opt you to archive this data or delete from device to save room. I brought this phone for the camera and monthly updates. The camera lives up to my expectations best part is OIS and EIS. Best of both worlds. Only complaint is the portrait mode which didn't blur the subject properly but it's been getting better as you get updates. The battery is lots better than the original pixel XL. i found myself not charging my battery overnight as i charge it at work using their electricity and in the car when I use Waze. But if you need a quick charge before going out in half an hour it's up 40% which will get you through the night This phone you need some type of protection don't kid yourself. I got the rhinosheild bumper from https://rhinoshield.io/pages/main-page/Google?device=google-pixel-2-xl&category=crashguard&prod=google-pixel-2-xl-bumper-case I'll be reviewing this next with dbrand skin comboSimilar opinion? Top phone and great to use.
While many people have dismissed the display, I find the 'natural/accurate' colours feel really good. It might take a few weeks getting used to, but once you do, saturated displays do not look good at all.
Buttery smooth experience and quick updates of the Android OS is great and definitely a huge plus.
The unlimited high resolution storage for photos means you never have to worry about running out of space.
I do however, wish it had a headphone jack. The adapter isn't always 100% reliable I have found.
Overall, probably one of my favourite phones I've owned, if not, my favourite.

Easily the best phone ever owned
The Pixel xl 2 is easily the best phone I have ever owned coming from using sony, samsung and even iphone. THe lightning fast response time of the UI is amazingly refreshing and the integration with all google products makes most daily routines easier to manage. the camera is the best part of the phone too! amazing from top to bottom

Best phone ever made, despite the display
There is only 1 thing I would change about this phone and it would be switching from and LG made OLED display to a Samsung made one. The screen has a few niggles such as black smear and grain at low brightness levels. To be fair all OLEDs suffer from these but this is a little more than Samsung's current gen panels.
But in saying that there is no other phone I would choose for all the other positives of this phone. The screen becomes a non issue and it's not bad but I do occasionally notice it's quirks.
The good? Smooth. It OS is buttery smo...Read more

Unfortunately not quite perfect
So by now you guys will have heard about the blue screen off centre to direct view, squelchy sound when recording video, and crackling speakers.
Well, the blue tinge is a mountain out of a mole hill. I personally cannot detect it on mine at all, and when others look at it and I ask them about it they say MAYBE but hard pressed to see it. I would not take that issue seriously it's been blown way out of proportion. No burn in here either and I've had it 3 months now.

ore issues with that at all. Pretty unprofessional to send these units out the door with the problem but at least that's all fixed. As for the crackling speakers. Unfortunately my unit developed that problem almost immediately. Once you hit say 75% volume, it sounds like one of the speakers is blown. THIS really sucks for a phone of that price. I really do hope Google will be more open and do something to fix that (Unlike the early shutdown problem on my 6P where they did NOTHING). I'm not holding my breath. So why still 4/5? Because simply it is the most brilliant phone I've ever had in my hands. The camera is RIDICULOUSLY good with colour and sharpness. Battery life is simply AMAZING and I cannot find a single thing (apart from the speaker) I can complain about. It really is that good. My wife has a Note 8 and to me it doesn't even come close (although the 2nd zoom camera lens is pretty cool). I forgive the speaker as it will be too hard to get it exchanged (because both Telstra and Google suck at that kind of stuff), other than that fantasticSimilar opinion? Best buy ever
Needed a new 0hone after dropping my Samsung. Love to take instagram photos and what better phone than the pixel 2. The camera is amazing esp with the portrait effect of blurring out the background. Phone is super easy to use as well and does well. The charge is amazing and despite me using the phone all day at work, it lasts 2 days!!!!
