Harvey Norman bungle- just wont honour the warranty
We bought an LG microwave from the Bundall store. Bear in mind that we are/were loyal HN customers and had also purchased a new fridge, washing machine, bed and some other kitchen appliances at the same time.
After about 11 months the microwave would intermittently just turn off and flash the 24hr symbol. Sometimes in the middle of the night, more annoying when you were half way through cooking and defrosting something. We took it to the store where a nice man explained that they didnt just replace them anymore, they sent it off to be repaired....Read more

Great product but terrible click and collect
I've been using Philips Air fryer that I've purchased from Harvey Norman about half-year ago, so the product is good so far. However, my experience in-store to pick up my online order was not so great (I've paid online and used click and collect). When I entered the store, I went to the click and collect section but was tossed to several sales assistants before someone actually helped me to collect my order. r side of the store as it was considered a bulky item (it was an air fryer not a fridge but ok...). I then drove to the rear side of the store. Had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to show up (maybe they were busy with orders from the front of the store?) and it took them another 20 minutes or so to fetch my order. Never going there again. I know what to expect.
Terrible customer service. Visited a store in an Australian CBD. No greeting, no acknowledgement, nobody asked if I was being attended to. I was considering a major purchase but I won't from that store. I also submitted a formal complaint, the store manager did respond but I have yet to hear back. It may be lack of training, but staff need to be taught that customers pay their wages, and their job is to make customers happy, not annoying us.

Never buy electrical Harvey Norman Cairns
And dont buy an Ariston dishwasher. These just dont work, and if you want to bash your head against the Harvey Norman brick wall with zero customer service for greater than 3 months, go right ahead. The machine never worked from day 1, much like the guy who signs his email 2IC, Proprietor In Training. OMG someone should take this tool out the back of the warehouse and teach him some skills. Never spending another cent with this store, and thats after spending probably upward of $30k over the last 6 years

STAY 10 miles away from Harvynorman. No accountability, irresponsible, liars.
I bought most of my household appliances from the Harvynorman Dandenong store including delivery and installation service. They came and installed my fridge, dishwasher and washing machine (bosch). Everything was fine until I noticed swelling on the plasterboard near the Laundry area. House was built less than a year ago so I immediately called my builder Carlise Homes to come and inspect. An inspector from Carlise homes came immediately and after a thorough inspection, he found a leak in the washing machine connection. So I called my insurance...Read more

Bosch technician inspected the connection and gave me a report where it clearly says, ""Aqua secure connected to hot tap & tape used not allowing full range of thread so not tight onto the O'ring, the technician had to replace the aqua hose and connected it to cold water tap as per installation manual, This is non manufacturing due to incorrect installation and caused damage to the aqua secure thread on securing nut"" So basically they connected it to hot water tap instead of cold water and used tape in a way that prevented the connection to be installed properly. So I sent the report to my insurance company hoping Harvey Norman would be responsible enough to take accountability for the wrong installation. after a couple of months passed, I called my insurance company and found out that my insurance company had to escalate this case to the court as the solicitor from Harvynorman thinks the house owner may have fiddled and reinstalled the washing machine incorrectly. I was like WHAT!!!. even someone with a tiny brain wouldn't say that. Why would I fiddle with it just after getting it installed by the paid professionals? I paid for the service so I would rather call them If I needed to. From my understanding, Harvey norman didn't even bother investigating or contacting/transferring the issue to their delivery contractors ( mind you they use external contractors, so technically they can easily pass over the responsibility to them) . But this solicitor really wants to fight back without any evidence or information from anywhere else just because in her mind the house owners in Australia have all the time in the world to fiddle with all the appliance just after getting installed by paid professionals. So I would never ever buy anything from them and highly recommend everyone else to stay away from them. I will keep you updated on what happens next.Similar opinion? Delivery
I paid $65.00 to have a fridge delivered. It was going to a university. I spoke with the driver and left detailed instructions on how to find me so I could show where it was going. When I rang the driver to ask where he was he said he left the fridge at the warehouse he drove past. I had to borrow a trolley and wheel the fridge hundreds of metres to where it was going. Very poor. I have had other items delivered in the past and the drivers were good.

fantastic staff knowledge
good use of washing machines on display. it was a big help that they had towels to show the different wash load sizes and how much could be put in each machine. the staff member was very knowable and understanding of our familys needs and wants. He was happy to go over the 100 questions we asked. extremely happy with our LG washer and the price we got it for after checking different place for weeks on line re prices etc

Chef stove
Looked online for prices of stoves for my rental. Found that HN had the best price. Went to the store and looked and found the one I wanted. Friendly assistant at the store gave me directions to the warehouse. Easy to find. All good.

Thomastown store were so very professional and obliging
Bought several expensive appliances from Thomastown store more than 2 years ago but due to ill health they remained in their boxes until now. When gas fitter connected the cooker the element did not work. I contacted the store and graciousness and kindness still exist in this world, the store manager Faiz was so very understanding and ordered a new element and paid for the fitting. Faiz and his team were so very nice to deal with and I am so very grateful. I will send everyone I know to this store, customer service is truly the best.

WASTE OF MONEY - DO NOT USE!
I contacted Product Review as my light globe inside my Panasonic Microwave stop working after only 1 month. Even though I paid extra for a couple of years extra warranty they said that I wasn't covered.
I will never use or recommend Product Care again - WASTE OF MONEY!

Not happy with warranty claims procedures
I have attended store in question and spoke to [name removed], and his young female assistant.
I have come with a faulty item purchased from Harvey Norman online. They have insisted on me leaving the item with them until they do some enquiries to find out how they can help me with that. I tried asking to get some resolution there and then to avoid coming back there to which [name removed] said that it is not hard to drive to their store as I am located locally.

I have, for a few weeks now been in and out of a few different stores looking at stoves and fridges. This included three or four trips into the Marion SA store. Each time Brett was patient with all my queries even when I kept changing my mind. He had great product knowledge and showed great patience. The time came to make the purchases and it was his salesmanship that clinged the deal. Thanks Brett for all you help.

Thanks to the team at HN Caringbah. Excellent customer service from 3 ladies tonight. Brought in a vaccum cleaner for repair, given a replacement model on the spot. Congrats on a great customer experience and understanding the value of that over what could have been a tedious process. Impressed!

Liars. Will not honor replacement warranty
Harvey norman sell replacement warranties and then fail to honor it. When I tried to speak to Harvey Norman, they referred me to product care guys. The store doesnt want to deal with it as its in product care hands now. Product care people are rude and dont care about what harvey norman sold us. They are like..this is what we have on our system, take it or leave it.
I will never shop at Harvey Norman again.

Vax vacuum cleaner - Pet pro
Bought Vax from Harvey Norman 2 Mths later the head stopped functioning. Went to store ( Broadmeadows ) they ordered new one after 2 weeks rang to see if had arrived. Not yet so they rang rep he said on the way.
1 more week goes by rang again and they said they will get back to me as they don't know where it is.
Very frustrating when under warranty. If i ordered a new one i think they would have it within the week.
I order from China and get within 4 days. Go figure

Worst experience ever
I had the worst experience ever with the shop, salesman named Thomas, and the staff named Daniel who declared himself as the manager. The salesman misguided and misleading us with the product that we ended up buying. We made complaint about the product because it’s not working properly as the salesman said it would be and they seemed very annoyed by it and they just said it works perfectly. The manager showed up and said it worked perfectly ACCORDING TO THE THEIR OPINION. He kept staring at us in a bullying way and asked us to take our product and leave. He even said ‘good luck with your coffee machine!’. What a terrible experience. No wonder the rating for the shop is so low. Seems like many customers experience the same thing.
