The policy was great value. My wife had a brain bleed whilst overseas in Japan and had emergency surgery to take part of the scull out. Insureandgo made sure that the financial side of things were being sorted which was a relief to me as I was concentrating on my wife’s injury. When the time came to fly out Insureandgo paid the hospital bill so we could go home to Australia. When we got back home they had paid me out for all my bills within 2 weeks of returning. I recommend InsureandGo to everyone who is going overseas.
When our overseas trip was cancelled I had nothing but prompt responses to my emails, the claim process was seamless and prompt and I was kept up to date during the processing of my claim. I have never had to make a travel claim before so I can't compare with other companies but this seemed excellent. Thank you
Excellent service claim for trip cancellation
We chose InsureandGo for our travel insurance in September 2022. It was one of the cheaper insurances, but we considered everything that it included and considered it was good value for money. Our trip was planned for May/June 2020, and by February 2020 we had all flights, tours. accommodation, etc fully paid for. By late March the Covid and subsequent travel situation meant we had to cancel our holiday and commence seeking whatever refunds we or our travel agent could obtain from the various bookings. As they had many claims to deal with they were very busy, but our claims officer Charming Custodio, always kept us in the loop as to where our claim was at. The company did not quibble any of the details, and the end result was that we received full reimbursement for the outstanding money. We will certainly use InsureandGo for any future travel, and would highly recommend it to anyone else.

We planned a 5 week trip from Australia to Greece. We weren't happy with the price of the insurance product the travel agent was offering us so did a shop around and Insure & Go was definitely better value for almost identical coverage. We took out the cover in September as soon as we had paid for everything. When Covid-19 hit and the Government wouldn't let us leave Australia we cancelled the holiday and our agent managed to get a large chunk of our money back in refunds. After inquiring on Product Review about obtaining a credit for my travel insurance to Canada which was no longer necessary due to the trip being cancelled I received a reply from Anna with a link to claim a credit. Received Full Amount Claimed For Cancelled Africa Holiday
We booked an extended holiday for May-June 2020, travelling through South Africa, Botswana and Zambia, along with another couple, who we had previously travelled with us overseas. We both took out coverage with Insure and Go, as we had paid for our holiday in full in advance which included return airfares with Qantas, hotel accommodation in Pretoria and Cape Town, a Rovos Rail Train tour, safari camps in the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park, two nights in Victoria Falls plus two connecting flights.

The policy came with a Seniors' Card discount and pandemic cover. A forced cancellation meant loss of a large deposit. InsureandGo provided the refund (less policy excess) with a minimum of fuss. Very happy with the service.

We Were Refunded Full Amount - Medical & Auxiliary Expenses
It is such a pity that I am now encountering so many complaints about "Insure & Go Australia". I can imagine that because of the sudden downturn in international travel due to Covid 19, all operators in the tourism and travel sector are experiencing difficulty in catering to their clients.

So I phoned I & Go Sydney to inform them about this, and they requested a top up for this additional medical condition. While overseas, a full month PRIOR to the announcement of the Covid 19 pandemic, my husband contracted pneumonia. This was followed by a heart attack. Although he recovered, the doctors refused to sign him off as "fit to travel" and advised an angiography plus angioplasty. In the end, in lieu of angioplasty, my husband underwent bypass surgery. Our initially planned 3-week Christmas holiday stretched to three months. In all that time, Insure & Go Australia, through its auxiliaries in Asia, patiently took my phone calls and liaise with our Aussie Family GP and the Australian Hospital where the pacemaker was inserted. This was despite poor, frustrating internet/phone connections with the Third World Country where we were stranded. To make a long story short, Insure & Go Australia honored EVERY single aspect in its "comprehensive" cover - hospital theater fees, surgeons' fees, all hospital-related fees, hospital accommodation, and my booked accommodation outside the hospital. Not only did the insurer reimburse us for our return airfare on Singapore Airlines; it also upgraded us from Economy to Business Class as per doctors' recommendation. We were safely back in Australia by the end of February, two weeks before the borders were closed. I have used Insure and Go several times and this is the first time I've had to claim.
Several days before departure I found out that I needed to have a small procedure done while overseas otherwise I would have to cancel my cruise. This procedure was arranged whilst on the cruise and carried out in South Africa. On returning home I lodged my claim, which was approved in less than 3 weeks and payment was made the next day.
Refunded our cancelled trip accommodation
Have previously been a customer and not needed to claim. Due to Covid-19 our latest trip didn’t go ahead, we had to cancel before departure due to government travel advice. We had a gold policy and thankfully it included pandemic cover. As we purchased the policy in August 2022 were able to make a claim. Insure and Go reimbursed our accomodation of which 100% had been charged.
We are so glad and thankful to have bought a policy from Insure and Go. We didn’t get to go on our holiday but to not be out of pocket for it was a massive relief!

Had planned a cruise through the Antarctic peninsula with my elderly parents and mother in law. Flights from Australia to Argentina and then a 11 day cruise. After more than 18 months planning, just 6 weeks prior to the trip my parents had to cancel due to back surgery for my dad. Due to the late cancellation of their travel, we got none of the fares refunded for my parents.
While the process for the claim took some time in terms of gathering the correct information, once all the documentation had been received by Insure and Go, they turned the claim around very quickly and paid our claim in full. It definitely pays to have the right insurance.

Have used Insure and Go previously as they are recommended by Choice and offered very good value for money. Organising the policies was straight forward and their treatment of pre-existing medical conditions is first class.
I took out a policy in February for travel to Japan on an organised tour in March 2020. Unfortunately, our travel plans were derailed by the Coronavirus and we cancelled the trip because of health risks.

Excellent value, extremely easy to set up. We have used this company around 4 times for overseas travel. Never had to claim until our last cancellation of travel. I our claim took at the around 20 days which is less than three weeks, so we were most impressed with this. Very attentive staff, responsive to any emails I sent and we would highly recommend this company for its integrity and great service. Of course, we will always be using InsureandGo for our travel insurance. thank you so much.

On the 29.2.2020 I took out insurance with Insure and Go for a trip to Antarctica in March 2021. The trip was cancelled and we got a voucher. Are we able to get any of the cost of the premium (or a voucher) back given we are not lodging a claim. Thanks. Paula

Hi, we recently settled a clam And received an amount from insure and go and we received a voucher from a resort with 12 month expiry being March 2021. If at that time we are still unable to leave Australia can we claim that voucher on the insurance? Given it can’t be used? Thanks.
Hi Paula, thanks for you patience with this question. If it turns out that your loss does become irrecoverable as the credit note cannot be used, then you are welcome to reopen your claim. Please bear in mind that all of the normal requirements will remain. So for example, you will need to reach out the provider and see if they can extend or refund the credit note first. We purchased gold cover last year for a trip to Bali in July. We can claim the difference between the Airline refund and After excess reductions I s about $100. If we don’t make a claim do we have any option of a partial voucher for the cost of the travel insurance?
Hi Paula, I have sent you some further information on an option that you may be eligible for if you choose not to claim, and instead decide to cancel your policy. If you choose to claim, it sounds like you are eligible to claim (although only the claims team are qualified to give a decision on your claim after considering all details of your claim), but please remember that your standard excess will charge, unless, when you purchased, you chose to reduce your excess to $0.
