Best Robot Vacuum Ever

Love this machine, works well on carpet and tiles. Maps work well - I can send the vacuum to work when I am not at home from the easy to use app. I love that it stores my house map and I can choose what rooms to vacuum from the app. Saves me so much House cleaning time.

Obviously like anything you must maintain the vacuum, but if you are prepared to give it a clean and change parts - which is easy to do (parts require change due to general wear and tear) - this is the best robot vacuum to ownz

Purchased in October 2021 at Harvey Norman for $980.00.

New Roomba croaks and service just as absent

I acquired the top of the line Roomba i7 through accumulating points through the Flybuys program. Initially I was very impressed until after half a dozen uses it stopped and despite removing all potential pieces of household dirt nothing would bring it back to life. In point of fact it was very clean. I searched the error code on the internet to find the failure of the motor head was surprisingly a common complaint with new Roombas. How is this even possible???? Prior to this I logged my warranty online. Over a week ago I rang IXL to be told a new motor head would be sent out. Nothing has arrived. I have since emailed again and rung and have not had a response to either.

Purchased in February 2021 at Flybuys for $2,000.00.

Works at first but can’t handle hair

We had ours replaced twice under warranty. Hair gets caught in the spinners. Doesn’t seem durable enough to handle hair. Love the idea though. Servicing was a bit tricky too- had to have all parts to submit for warranty including remote, attachments etc. we couldn’t find them all so couldn’t claim

Don’t get me wrong, I love it. Except for 2 things. The hugely expensive consumables and the app. I thought buying the one where I could use the app and schedule rooms to be cleaned would be great. It would if it worked. Every time the app is updated the maps no longer work properly. Areas get missed and cleaning is not as thorough. Save yourself about a thousand dollars and buy the cheaper one. I no longer have it connected to the app and it works great.

Has anyone else updated to the latest iRobot app on iPhone and after the update got an error 15 with no success performing a robot reboot? I downloaded the app update and it seems to have bricked my poor Roomba... only 6 months or so out of the box... is this version of firmware faulty? Any help appreciated :)
