We are currently building an additional coffee bar in our workplace. Possibly 20 staff will make use of this machine, so perhaps 60 or so cups a day. What Jura machine would you recommend?

Hi our machine is for home use and have about 10cups a day, but our friends use it in their retail outlet and it does well, maybe at least 4o cups a day. You would just use more filters (who cares) but the machine cleans it self and the use is easy (anybody can use it) it tells u the machine is heating up then it does a tiny clean and then the screen pops up choose your style (flat white/long blk ect.) you must buy the side milk connector (fridge keeps the milk ready to go and can sit overnight..the milk keeps fresh..
buy the 4 year extended warranty (check if they will honour it commercially) IT IS A GREAT MACHINE....I THINK WITH JUST ONE PRESS U GET A GREAT COFFEE..mine is the Z6 or Z7,,, choose in your price range ...hope I helped

Dear Rose.
Thank you for your question it sounds like you did the descale with a water filter still in the water tank, please remove the filter and dispose of it do a water descale follow the same steps but don't add the descale tablets so only water is going throw the machine to wash out all the chemicals from the filter
Thanks

Rose,
When you change the filter make sure you follow the procedure or the machine by-passes the filter. It sounds like that has happened to you. I would also reset the grinder back to the original position.

We have a Jura Z9. The coffee is rather bitter no matter how we change the grind or coiffed strength. The machine also occasionally leaks from the front right. We cannot discover the source, we can only see the result. Twice it has flooded the bench. Three or four times it leaves a small puddle around the foot, about the size of a cup diameter.
What options do we have to get the machine checked?
We bought it one month ago

I have a Z5 at home. After 7500 cups of faultless coffees it has developed a fault. Even though the bean compartment is full, it displays "FILL BEANS" and stops.

Is there anything I can do at home or do I have to take the machine 90km to the Newcastle service agent for a fixed price ($395?)service?

Hi John, that's too bad :( I never had an error message like that myself. Did you call the hotline on the machine to ask for help? How many years have you had your machine?

My machine was purchased as a retirement present to myself seven and a half years back. It was entirely because I very much liked its brother in my employer's Board Room. Advice was that I should take the machine to the service agent in Newcastle. On this site I read that I'm looking at a $395 capped service charge if I do. If there is a simple user-available way to verify that full service is necessary, it seems appropriate that I at least consider it.

Had the Z9 for over 12 months now and love it. Recently the grinder has been making a high pitch sound towards the end of the grind and the resulting coffee is not strong as of once was. Is there a way sharpen the grinder blades? Or is replacement the only option? The grinder is set to the finest grind.

Dear Marcus G,
Thank you for your question, have you tried changing the grind on your machine sometimes there can be a bean stuck in the grinder by changing the grind setting while in motion can free any blockages. With the coffee not strong enough please try a finer grind to see if that helps,
If you have any further concerns regarding our product or service please contact me on [email protected] and I will ensure its resolved for you.

Never had this issue with any Jura machines I have owned. Sounds like it needs to go to service agent and they can run the diagnostic test through the USB connector and it will show up. Or I would return it to place of purchase and advise faulty. Depending on where you purchased from as to what the return process is. Hope this helps Beverley

If I buy a used Jura Z5 out of warranty but in very good shape and seems to be in great working order what would it cost to have Jura refurbish it?

Jeff. I am not sure what state you live in. But in Queensland, it is very hard to get a Jura serviced. As only one place in Qld has the computer programme to perform a JURA service. Any coffee repair place may be able to change the O rings etc. This will depend on what state you live in. Hope this helps.
