Perfect
Ironing is so much easier with the Laurastar Lift. The iron is light weight, portable and glides over clothing. The steam is impressive and every item finishes beautifully. Also love the safety feature of switching itself off when not in use, I love my Laurastar and would highly recommend it. it's just Perfect!

Overpriced and ruined the Laura star brand in my mind.
Blows water takes ages to heat up and constantly stops to reheat. Has ruined many of my shirts by leaking dirty water and shorts my electricity. It's garbage I don't recommend it and wouldn't. I tried emailing Laura star and the service was bad also I still have the iron and no support

One problem after another till death
We have had ongoing niggly problems with this iron, starting with the steam button on the iron sticking, then the housing cracking and water dispensing with the steam. We lived with them all till today, when the ironer housing completely disintegrated and fell off the main body. Time for a new one....it won't be Laurastar. Thought for the money that it would last a lot longer than this.

Mum loves her Lift
Just bought a Lift for my mum. The salesperson Jenny was very helpful and gave me more tips on how to use the iron that I was not aware of. I got a great discount too. Of course I am a repeat customer and I did expect a discount.
Well, mum is over the moon and even wants to do my ironing now. There's a problem though, I love ironing with my S6. Ha ha ha.
Performs equally to my S6 but it's real portable.
Thumbs up to Laurastar, you've made my mum a very happy lady.

In love with Lift
I bought one of these irons at DJ, even after reading the negative reviews here. I love it. Why didn't I get one sooner, it was on special and I took advantage. Had it for 3 months and haven't looked back. I just love how easy it is to pack away. Ironing all my toddlers school clothes has become a breeze. I have been able to use the Lift on my my husband's suits that get creased day in day out no longer require dry cleaning weekly. The Lift pretty much dry cleans the suits with a simple pass of the iron over the entire jacket and pants. Seriously, who likes ironing? With the Lift i would be surprised if anyone doesn't get excited.

Very disappointed!!
I previously owned a Laurastar G2 for 9 years and never had one problem with it. I was very excited to upgrade to a new Lift. I first bought an ex-demo model but it kept spitting out water so Laurastar allowed me to upgrade to a brand new model. However, after the third time of using it the same thing happened! I had to take that one back and they replaced it with another brand new model. I thought it would be 3rd time lucky.....but no the same thing happened! I returned that one and Laurastar refunded my money. I am SO disappointed as I loved my old Laurastar so much and cannot believe that there can be so many problems with an iron that costs SO much money! Come on Laurastar you really need to sort these issues out!

Disappointed is an understatement!
It is with bitter disappointment that write this review!
I feel the need to do this here to hopefully help other people avoid buying this product and being disappointed as I was.
Considering, I thought I was buying the Rolls Royce of irons and an investment, I couldn't be more furious with myself for believing that Laurastar were the epitome of irons and that this product was going to be worth my value for money.
It worked well for the first month that I had it and from then on I have had ongoing issues with it.
Initially, I noticed it was not ironing out the creases of the clothes as it did in the beginning, this then progressed to water occasionally leaking out of the sole plate

Good when it works, but small problems you shouldn't get from an iron this expensive
I bought the iron after being recommended it from a friend who had the earlier models. It appears that this newer model is not as well made, and I have had numerous issues with the steam button sticking and the machine itself turning off during use. In addition, after under a year (and only using it approx twice a month ) the water cap plastic seal has now broken, meaning that I cannot turn on the iron without hot water shooting out. Seems overpriced compared to the quality....

Steam buttons are stuck
I purchased the Laurastar lift (red) in Sep 2015. 6 months later, the left button got stuck. I called Bing Lee & was told that I'd have to take it to Bankstown for a Warranty repair which is difficult to get there on a Saturday due to it only being opened til 1pm & I work long hours during the week. Do Not Buy This Iron!
You will be wasting both your money and your time when you have to return it for repairs.
I purchased the Laurastar Lift from a retailer, took it home and read the manual. I treated it like gold. The first time I I turned it on and eagerly waited 3 mins warm up, then I pressed the steam button - steam blasted out and wouldn't stop. It was like a fire extinguisher. Scared the cat and my 6 year old. Steam button very faulty. Took it straight back to the retailer and they replaced it same day.

poorly made
Hi I purchased my first Laurastar lift 2 years ago and from the beginning it had a faulty steam button which would stay on once pressed and you had to repeatedly jiggly the button in order for it to stop. The next issue that followed was cracking in the main cover for the iron as it seemed it was not designed to withstand the temperatures of the soleplate. I've owned several irons from Tefal and Phillips and never had such quality issues with their products which I feel switching to a premium swiss brand would not have arisen. It kept breaking down
I purchased the S6 ironing system with the iron and ironing board in Singapore. I loved it while it worked. It was easy to iron clothes and it did what the sales person said it would do for a few months in my home. But then it broke down while still under warranty in July. When I contacted the company I realize their Singapore office had closed and was being taken over by another company...? I was unable at first even to find any phone number to call for servicing as all the numbers both online and in my service pack were defunct. In the end i...Read more
t was the kind salesman (who'd left the company) who picked up his personal handphone, & directed me to the office in Swizerland. Eventually I was only able to send the iron in for repairs in September, months later. A month later, I got it back. By early January, it had broken down again! I've called the company yet again and will have to take my set in tomorrow for repairs. we have been looking after the iron very carefully and watched the whole DVD on how to care for it. Yet, it keeps breaking down. Just the time spent trying to get it working is so frustrating. The people here working for the company are good and have tried to be responsive, but I sense that they are struggling to do their best with a problematic product and other constraints. I am in Singapore but it should not matter, the product quality should surely be consistent no matter which country you purchase a Laura star iron from.2 comments

A++ customer service
We have a few of these in the extended family with varying faults along the way. My iron had a split in the casing for a while and has been leaking water on the clothes for some time. I finally rang customer service who asked me to take it into Northbridge. The very friendly staff advised it would be 7-10 working days but was completely under warranty. Less than 24hrs later it is rebuilt and looking like new :) they advised that they had replaced a new and improved circuit board and even threw in a new water filter. If only every company out there looked after their customers like this.

Laurastar Lift+ a lemon, not the Mercedes Benz of steam irons they claim it to be.
I bought a Laurastar Lift+ because of the high-end "designed i Switzerland, made in the EU" claim to fame ... meant to be the BMW or Mercedes Benz of steam irons. Sadly, within six weeks it started to trip the electric circuit at my home. It was replaced by the seller with another brand new unit. Once again, within 6 weeks it too started tripping the electric circuit. In each occasion, I treated the unit as gentle as one can. Will now get my money back and buy a "normal" steam iron for half or a third of the price paid for that BMW steam iron that failed!!! What is more disappointing is finding out many entries here referring to the same electric fault.6 comments

Love this iron and the customer service!
I had this iron for a couple of months and loved it so much, I bought my mother one.
You can do eight business shirts in under an hour (ask me how I know!), plus take it around to steam the curtains, mattresses and cushions.
She has loved it to clean her boiled wool jackets, saves so much money at the dry cleaners. That's important when you're a pensioner.

Then about two days later, mine started doing the same (twighlight zone... doo doo doo dooo!). It was like it was overheating a bit. Now I had used mine a lot, I do a big batch of ironing about once a fortnight, and fiddly bits here and there. I used it probably three times as much as my Mum. I cannot fault their customer service, but I'm now suspecting that I have purchased a $700 doorstop. An expensive mistake. I am quite willing to have it looked at/repaired, but for $700 I think it should be trouble free for at least three years. I'm also hearing/reading about people having BIG repair bills on it, once it's out of warranty. I think that at such a large price point, I should have the option to refund, as I don't think it's 'fit for purpose' at this stage. I have been told that a tube may have worked loose... shouldn't happen, as you pay enough for it. Especially since I have followed all the instructions closely, and do not mistreat my iron... nor do I have kids who could do something to it that I'm not aware of. Nothing should go wrong at all... so much for Swiss design. Now I'm worried that my Mum's will start doing it, too - AGAIN! As I said, the customer service is brilliant, but the product is falling below par in my opinion. I adore it when it works, and hate my old iron, but if this keeps happening, then I may have to consider using th old one for a while... until I can save up for a Comel Snail, or something similar. I will update to this post after it has seen the repairman, and see what they say.Well, I told the repairers about the intermittent problems... key word 'intermittent', and that they probably couldn't reproduce it. I usually make two costumes for ComicCon every year, and make some of my own clothes, so now I have an unreliable iron.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
