Professional Finish for those who are particular about everything and anything household
This ironing system is impressive to say the least. The steam it generates gives that professional finish which is second to none.
It most definitely cuts your ironing time down. I will never go back to the cheaper traditional iron - waste of time.
Materials which could never be ironed traditionally are no problem for this system. I have not had any technical issues, nor have I burnt or damaged any article using the Laurastar.
I have found the owner of Laurastar to be passionate by delivering excellent customer service. Thank-you kindly. Brilliant Steam Iron.

Great iron & fantastic customer service
Prefer this iron to traditional type irons.
The canister is filled with tap water & is able to be topped up whilst in use.
I generally hate ironing and the lift makes ironing so much easier.
The protective sole plate is excellent for delicate fabrics ie silk.
I didn’t read the instructions properly & didn’t remove the protective sole plate to clean lint from the iron plate after each use, subsequently the steam outlets got a little blocked & the iron wasn’t working as effectively. The iron handle needed to be repaired as I suspect it may have been dropped.
The service department and customer care were excellent & based on my experience, I highly recommend this iron.

Fantastic
Never had a problem with this machine
Great steam pressure and a heavy iron makes it the perfect machines to iron your clothes - ther is absolutely no neem to apply pressure on the iron to get rid of stubbor creases. Another great thing about it is that you can top up the watr level at any time and use the machine almost instantaneously - no need to wait for the tank to heat up
Its great to know that it is ready when you are ready.

Don’t like it!!
My husband bought it for me a few years ago, but I hate it!!!
Reasons:-
Heavy, hurts my wrist.
Steam button sticks.
Sometimes when ironing the “fold down” in pillow cases, I get a scalded wrist.
Leaves clothes feeling damp.
I don’t think it irons as well as an ordinary one.
Non- stick sole plate has to be “attached”, normal irons already have these.
Waiting time before putting away.
Waiting for the steam when initial switching on.

it works, adding the teflon shoe is not a fault this is how we manage temperature changes, waiting time for it to be ready is not a fault it takes time to heat up 3mins, your glasses fogging up is not a fault, having to flush the boiler is not a fault all appliances require maintenance, noisy is not a fault this is how the pump gets water into the boiler, switching itself off is not a fault its a safety feature 10 minute auto shutoff, takes up alot of space, this is a fault...Sue give us a break...most ridiculous review i have ever read. I've had a lot of inconsistencies!!
My iron has always been temperamental! After my iron heats up, I press steam and it can then explodes with gushes of water which completely saturates my garments. Other times its fine. Also can you avoid it switching off after 10 mins as its unfortunately never a straight forward exercise.

Great Iron but quality less than you would expect given the price.
Have had the Lift 510 for a few years now and while it has been a really good iron it does seem to be falling apart on us. The ironing is really good, good amounts of steam and overall a nice iron to use.
The annoying thing is that it basically falling apart even though we have really taken care of it. The plastic covering the iron head is covered in cracks and about to completely fall off, the water lid has broken, the iron head attachment has fallen apart. While all little things its annoying that for the price all these items are made of so poorly.
A pretty good iron, but too expensive given the build quality.

Worst product in the market
My unit stopped working with a small bang and tripped the power board. I use it for 1 hour/ week. The unit is 2 yo and was previously repaired for water leaking. Cant believe this product is still in market and disappointed. When the product works it works well and have no issues with it.

Laura Star Lift .(standard)
Steam Delonghi had served us well 10 yrs until the boiler was cracked Thas the end of it .
Replace by Laura star lift, the new design abit odd but nothing to worry about . So far its performance is good, finer than my previous but has no steam control, too early to tell reliability, we suggest to spent some money for extended warranty, specially electronic, hot, under pressure

Won't turn on
Hello. My Laura Star has automatically turned off and will not turn back on. I recently have had my iron serviced due to a continual water leakage and they said everything else should be fine. I have had it for barely two years. I love the way it irons but am really disappointed that there happens to be another problem where I am unable to even use the iron now.

Stopped working
I had my first Laurastar for over 10 years and when it was due for replacing went with the compact model - MISTAKE - has randomly released water regularly - outer housing on iron itself started breaking away at the side and then completely split across the top after 2 years - now it will not switch on at all - and it is only 3 years old - purchased from Bankstown in 2014 - so disappointed and frustrated

Very frustrated and disappointed
I bought a Laura Star Lift approximately two months ago. This iron leaked water and after going to the Perth rep for Laura Star it was exchanged as it was in fact faulty. I now need to go back as this second iron is leaking water from the soleplate again and much worse than the original iron. This is very frustrating.

Disappointing
This is my second Laurastar iron, my first was excellent and lasted many years, I was totally hooked. Then when it was time to purchase a new one I purchased the Lift not sure which model. What a disappointment! In 18 months it has been back approximately 3 times to the dealer in Perth. Who I might add have been very accommodating in trying to repair it but has not made any difference. Doesn't heat enough, constantly spits out water when you press the steam and leaves marks on my clothes. Not worth the $750 I paid. :(

MY LAURASTAR LIFT IS PART OF MY FAMILY
I have purchase this steam iron,from Bankstown.
I had it less then 2 years, it travel with me to Greece and back.
I had some problems with it i called the store the staff where very helpful and advise me to take it to the store to be
looked at it .
I got it back the next day very happy as IAN the technician fix it and gave me my iron like new what a service.
I can,t leave with out my Laurastar this is the second one i had purchase as i always up grade when i can.
They customer service is out standing as for the service.Why would you go any where else.
The steam iron are fantastic you do your ironing half the time and very easy to use.

Not even close to my old Laurastar
I recently traded my old Laurastar unit for a supposedly superior model. What a disappointment. This unit, does not appear to get to the same temp as the old one and squirts water like there is a fire about to start. The company must obviously be aware that this is a flaw in this model, as they have statements on line and in the manual, that one should let a substantial amount of steam emit, to get rid of the water. It doesn't work chaps!!! I am absolutely put off ironing now and am going to go back to the Laurastar outlet to see if my old one...Read more
is still there. I'll by it back and this one can be donated to someone, for all I care. it is of no use to me. i will give it back at no charge. Even trying to iron without using the steam, when I have damp clothes, doesn't work. the thing switches off because if you don't use steam....it thinks you're idle. Sure, it is better than a little $100 domestic thing at the local dept store, but really, bring back the old model laura star, and consolidate the range. I have never felt so ripped off. And this is the first time I have ever written a review on line!!!
I bought my iron 18 months ago thinking it was the state of the art iron. I spent $750 which at the time I thought was a lot but I was confident that Sunday night ironing would be made easier. How wrong was I!!! It's been back twice for repairs. It spits foul rust steam on my clothes. I cannot tell you how many clothes I have had to rewash. Every second filter works for about 15 minutes then the beast is yelling at you to replace the filter. I am so completely sick of this dysfunctional product I would like to scream. I cannot remember feeling this strongly about a product. DONT BUY ONE. I have complained to the company but my strong suspicion is that they won't respond. Just hate being ripped off!

Great best thing I've ever bought!
Great machine love ironing with it so easy steam action is amazing no longer do I have to iron shirt sleeves anymore just pop the iron into the shirt removes all the wrinkles in the shirt only problem was my sister left it on and has melted the top cover but still works perfectly amazing machine!

Absolute rubbish
Had my first laura star for over 10 years loved it till it died. Replaced it with the new lift in 2013 and what a mistake. Had the iron replaced 3 times within a couple of months due to different faults. This third iron is a piece of expensive rubbish. First the steam button always gets stuck and is loose. The iron continually stops working. I recently noticed small cracks and ripples in the housing. rubbish from the start and I am very disappointed to pay good money for something so bad. To have an iron replaced 3 times and now it is a very dangerous item. Will not be purchasing another unfortunately and when they are working 100% they are a fantastic iron. Have contacted customer service and are waiting for response. Irons well, but leaks and steam button sticks all the time
I like ironing with the Laurastar BUT, it leaks water most of the time and most annoying the steam button sticks on and always needs to be pressed off manually when it should be automatic. I don't know that I would buy another. I did ring and the lady was helpful, but it is still happening.

Ironing is easier and faster
Hi, for me ironing with Laura star is much easier then previous steam irons I used and I really like the product. However, occasionally water are dripping from the sole plate while ironing. A bit less pleasant is steam that occasionally leaks and burn my palm while ironing. I do like ironing with my laurastar, so I'm a bit disappointed to have issues with the lift model less than a year since purchased.

Is this perfect and can I live with out it?
With all consumer products, the answer is yes I can live with out it. However it really does cut down on ironing time and it really does do a great job of getting rid of wrinkles. Definitely better than a traditional iron. I have a BNB and so am often ironing bed linen and using Laurastar is definitely bettered quicker than my old iron.

My Laura Star will only let me iron 4 to 5 pieces of clothing and then automatically shuts off, without warning and whilst in use. It always has about half a tank of water left and is working perfectly until it shuts down. What can I do to stop this from happening? It is very frustrating.
