Energy and water efficient, very good cleaning result. Steam result is very good. Very quiet.
After a 3 week wait for delivery and a huge job ripping out cabinets and plumbing work to extend pipes to the cabinet area I created. I am very happy with this dishwasher and thankfully zero faults or problems.
Hand washing is extremely inefficient with water. We are noticing a reduction of water usage and the energy consumption is neglible.
This unit is a good price point as far as energy and water efficiency is concerned at 4 stars and 5.5 WELS rating.

ivery time Billy Guyatts is OK. But I had to micro manage them and call them 10 times about delivery. It was still worth that effort for that price. The unit had to come directly from LG and the delivery people took an extra week to get to me. It is extremely quiet, the water inlet tap is much louder than the unit in operation.Purchased in October 2021 at Billy Guyatts for $1,350.00.

2 failures in 4 months - struggling to get a refund
At first, i would have given this a 5 star review. This machine did an absolutely fantastic wash, but now it has failed twice with the same issue. The problem lies in the Heater unit, wich on these is all apart of the same assembly with the wash pump, heater unit and motor. LG took 3 weeks to get the part to the repairers, and then was still a few days after that to get it back. It worked fine for 3.5 weeks and now has failed again with the same HE error. LG are abismal to deal with on the phone, there is no care or consideration for you as a c...Read more
ustomer, you need to do all the running around to contact the repair agent, etc. I was then blamed for not following instructions that were never given to me. I have now gone back to the retailer and seeing what they can do to assist me. I have lost all confidence in this product, and as such, i have also lost faith in LG's after sales support. I will now be looking at other brands for a new dishwasher.Purchased in August 2021 at JB Hi-Fi for $1,099.00.

I'm flabbergasted, and dumbfounded.
It's been 133 years since the first dishwasher patent was issued. It's been 40 years since I purchased my first dishwasher, (Phillips) lasted 18yrs, so I'm amazed that a company, any company can successfully dump (not just LG) equipment on the unsuspecting masses, it doesn't wash, it barely dries, unless you pay extra electricity, the logic of fitting an umpteen dinner setting is ok, heaven forbid if there's is only two of you, dinner, breakfast, snack, and if you use an oven pan, garlic press and two sets of tongs and normal soft drink glasse...Read more
s.......don't .......because they won't fit. I'm sorry, I sound cranky, I am..........LG you have one job! It's called product for the duty entailed. Not fashion or fad. I wanted a dishwasher, I didn't get one. It's not all about the theoretical norm, we are people. (ps. my Fischer and paykel wasn't much better, although after the 5th service call and a new machine in 60 days it worked for 4 years.......that's the point.....only 4 years, factor in $1000/4= $250 plus exorbitant running costs, get your act together, dumping dishwashers is as bad or worse (?) than plastic bags or yes I could wash my dishes against the claim LG is more efficient) Sorry, this happens every time I buy something that is really, really a waste of F**king space.Purchased in October 2021 at The Good Guys for $1,100.00.

Pre Purchase Consumption Usage not Available!
Compare water & energy use and time for each cycle before you buy? Forget it!! Not on website, or User manual, or livechat - agent advised that info is not available to them. Unbelievable in this day and age.

Life's Good with LG!
I am floored at the advancements in dishwasher technology today. My LG is so quiet and thorough when it does a load, I hardly even know it is operating. I can fit all necessary dishes in, and I know they will all get cleaned to perfection. I have only one gripe about the finish of my dishes, and that being the small amounts of liquid that pool on top of cups. Perhaps one day, makers of dishwashers will fit them out with blowers like a laser car wash, and blow the liquid off....

Not quite as good as expected
Now I should probably start by saying that I am a bit of an LG fan. I absolutely love all of my LG products, so when it come to buying a Dishwasher, it was a no brainer.
On installing the Dishwasher, I must say I was a little disappointed at the abomination they have attached to the end of the Water inlet hose. Unlike a normal inlet hose, the LG Dishwasher has a great big Plastic device that cannot be detached during installation. This means that you have to cut out massive holes in your kitchen cabinets, just to get the hose connected. Why o...Read more
n earth they could not have installed whatever this monstrosity is, on the inside of the machine I do not know, but it is a really bad bit of design work. Eventually I made the necessary alterations to my kitchen cabinets and got the Dishwasher powered up. The first wash was good, however the dishes were not dry at all. I installed the LG App on my iPhone in the hope that it would give me some hints on how to dry the dishes, but all I get is an alert telling me to use Rinse Aid. The 'Use Rinse Aid' alert suggests to me that LG are aware that the machine has very poor drying capabilities. Previously I have owned much cheaper Dishwasher brands and they have all dried reasonably well, but the LG is way below their performance when it comes to drying.Purchased in February 2021 at The Good Guys for $1,499.00.

Not As Fantastic As We First Thought
My original review was high praise for a good looking dishwasher that matched our new fridge. Having owned it for a bit, I am updating my review to say that we are so disappointed. This dishwasher does not wash dishes. It takes way too long and it doesn't dry anything. More seriously, the cutlery drawer concept does not work. Unless you very carefully place each piece, tip the spoons face down and top and tail forks, none of these will be clean. Who has time for that?
The controls are non-intuitive and confusing. We have only ever used one fac...Read more

Good performance but poor design.
Looks great with good, whisper-quiet washing performance that leaves dishes clean and mostly dry, but a completely flawed interior design makes stacking frustratingly difficult. e.g.Taller glasses hit the cutlery drawer, but if you drop the top shelf down to anything other than the top position plates & pots obstruct the arms. The arms are too easily knocked off as well... Easy enough to replace, but it's fair to expect better from one of the most expensive dishwashers in it's class.

Excellent finishing on this washer
We bought this because it's finishing details are very nice compaired to older models or even other washers on the market and we wanted an updated washer in an modem kitchen that we just upgraded. It washes the plates well but we had some issues with the forks and knifes

Control panel cracks- do not buy
Sine purchasing in June 2018 weve had control panel replaced and now its cracked again.
Mr dishwasher (repairers) have bad attitude and we do not want a dishwasher that has to be repaired every couple of months.
Was looking at a different brand but this one matched the fridge we got so it was a no brainer. Nice and quiet, love the adjustable shelves. Cutlery shelf is great too. Easy to fit most items in as the shelves move and the inserts can be flexible too. Very handy
Purchased in June 2021 for $1,200.00.

An intelligent dishwasher. This is perfect!
-It cleans and dries the dishes very well
-Once done it opens the door automatically to remove the steam
-It has an app which is installed on your mobile phone and can show you the progress information, upgrade the dishwasher firmware to the latest version and even download some new washing program from the internet. You also can control the operation using the app and your WiFi at home.
-It is quiet and nice
-It'll be informed you once your dishes ready by play a chime. You also can turn it off by the app or choose a night time washing pr...Read more

Quadwash with extra arms is something new in the market and doing a really good job, one option which I love is, after finishing the job the door gets open automatically if you trun on this option and the dishes don't get smelly until morning, also very quite dishwasher but the water pump makes a sound which im not sure its happening only for me due to bad installation.

This is perfect choice
We are so impressed of quiteness when this dishwasher is doing its work. All the selections are at the top of the door, so you have to open the door and made selection and start before closing the door. It seems a bit unconventional but we can live with it. If you do wonder how much time left to finish, you have to literally peek in the slot between top of the door and the top cover( which you can remove if the dishwasher under the kitchen bench but we did not remove the cover). But you can see the time left with a bit of difficulty through the ...Read more
slot otherwise you can download LG Smart ThinQ app in your tablet or phone. It will show the status and time left of the dishwasher. If you set the door to open after finish,it will leave the door an open gap. We left it overnight all the dishes are dried and cleaned in the morning. We have this dishwasher for almost a month and we are very happy of the it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Can you set a time using the App or other way to run cycles so it runs using Solar generation time? There is a delayed start but would be easier to set to run the same time every day once wash is imitated.

Makes sense but I think it remembers all the settings. I'd leave the wifi capability off to be honest.
I haven't tried it, but apparently you can sync your phone to the dishwasher and I would imagine you could set it from there. As the ThinQ app works with Google/Alexa, you should be able to set the dishwasher through them to come on at the same time everyday as long as the door is shut! Might have to research that a bit more to be sure, or ask them at LG!

Is it worth buying compare to Bosch?
1 answer
Hi there, depending on how much you want to spend our dishwasher has been fantastic so far, majority of our appliances at home is LG and never had an user so far. Dishwasher was $850 but we got extended warranty as well for peace of mind bringing the price to $1100. If you are choosing to go Bosch get the one which are made in Germany you do pay extra though.

If you open the door in the middle of a cycle, will the cycle continue when you close the door?
