Looks fantastic in White.
Purchased from Radio rentals Online store. Best Price in Adelaide and excellent service. Free Delivery, Free removal of old fridge... very happy (last place we thought to look too!)
Tossed up whether to get Stainless or White and opted for the white and very glad we did - looks really good! ( and it matches the white Saeco Coffee Machine and white toaster.
We have had the L4 Grande a few weeks now and generally happy. I was worried that the size would be too large to get in to the house, but the delivery guys just removed the doors and no pro...Read more
blems (and pretty quick too). The size of the internals is great allowing us to leave a bit of room around things and it keeps food and drinks at the desired temperature without problem. Finish and quality are extremely good and it looks like it is built to last - nothing flimsy anywhere! Things that we have noticed... We stored some carrots )among lots of other fruit and veg in the Vegetable drawer, and after a week they were more like rubber than nice crisp veggies. Our old Westinghouse seemed to do a much better job with keeping Vegies fresh - but for now we are trying different humidity settings on the drawer to see if any work better. Considering it has the special Veggie light that is supposed to keep things fresher we are a bit unimpressed at the moment - but will update if upping the humidity to full (rather than half) changes anything. The other thing we have noticed is the noise. Definitely not a quiet machine. At night time when one walks past it is quite noisy, again compared to a 25 year old Westinghouse. It does have silent moments I guess when the motor is not running, but i would have thought that at 4:00 am in the morning when no one has opened the doors for 6 hours it would be very quiet - not the case at all. They advertise in their brochure the fact it is very quiet - I think perhaps they may need a hearing test or we are doing something wrong! Not a deal breaker for us but much noisier that the Westinghouse ever was. It would be nice if the shelves on the door had a few more options for placement, a bit of wasted space, but being such a large fridge not really an issue. They are nice and wide and fit a lot of stuff in them. The ice tray system works really well and enjoying lots of ice - simple, unbreakable and easy! The Freezer also is without fault - lots of space and the multiple draws make finding stuff easy. Overall, a couple of things that are not perfect but reasonably impressed with the unit so far.

Huge and quiet fridge.
A big thankyou to all of the reviewers on Product Review! Without your reviews I would never have even known about this fridge, and probably would have bought a Samsung with lots of issues.
As many others have mentioned, this is a BIG unit. We had to take our house front door off and the fridge doors off to get it in. Not to mention redesigning the new kitchen to fit it in.
However, a month later not a day goes by when I am not thankful we did buy the Big Mitsy.
Pros:
it looks great!
large easy opening doors
strong glass shelves
The shelves are so wide
Very quiet - never hear it at all (the last F+P could be heard from our upstairs bedroom at night)
LED lights are bright

UPDATE - just about 2 years later and I am still in love with this fridge. It has never run out of room, never played up at all, and still makes no noise at all. Sometimes on humid days it fogs up inside, but that has been very rare,

Excellent Purchase for $2880
Easy to clean glass shelves, very large easy to use fridge, easy to use ice block maker, with a twist and turn, no need for plumbing. Most days we only open the small left hand door, so that keeps the fridge running cheaper, best to keep the items you use every day in that section. I will although need to purchase a small upright freezer. The fridge is very large, but the freezer is not big enough, but l knew that when this fridge was purchased. es lol). I would recommend this fridge to purchase if you have the space to fit it in. Its the type of fridge once you see it you want to own one, all the positive rating on this site helped with this decision. The stainless unit is lovely with the black trim and the handles although they stick out are so very practical and easy to clean, no need to touch the doors. The sides are grey look stainless but not the same as the front of the fridge, this unit is made in Japan. I won't be allowing any magnets on this unit at all, seen far too many fridges marked by them. Love this fridge unit, l shall be buying the same brand for the freezer.1 comment
So many leds are now not working, unbelievable!!!!!! Its lights out here. So dissapointed that l now have to ring service.

Great looking fridge, thats about all.
We have had our Mitsubishi l4 grande for about a week now and have no issues with any functions of the fridge.
Freezer and fridge compartments are keeping food at good temperatures, from standard factory settings.
Pearl white was our choice, to match the rest of our kitchen, this fridge looks really good!!
We chose this model because of it size and build quality, we looked at many different fridges but the Mitsubishi was clearly sturdier in all aspects.

4 weeks in and loving it
It was time to replace our 30 year old kelvinator pidgeon pair. after looking at many fridges we decided on the Mutsubishi L4 grande in S/S finish. before we made our decision we read every review possible. so if you're reading this i hope it helps. i was very nervous about the freezer area which is so much smaller than our old kelvinator. my husband said it would be just a matter of getting use to.after all there is only the 2 of us now and we do have a spare fridge with freezer (although smallish ) in laundry. the new beast arrived. we are ...Read more
about 4 weeks in and loving it. very quiet. very very BIG fridge section. we removed the large crisper to accommodate our 3 litre milk and juice containers. i place vegies in the 2 smaller drawers and the vegies remain very very fresh. I've had a lettuce in there for 3 weeks and it still looks like the day i bought it.I've learnt how to pack the freezer. we removed the ice cube tray which in turn gave us an extra drawer. it's quite forgiving. it lets me keep adding to it and takes it. I am so happy with our decision.im sure anyone considering this fridge freezer will be too.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect Quiet Family Fridge
We have previously owned 3 Upside down fridges and have always loved the idea of not having to bend down to the floor to the fruit and veggie compartments. Our Samsung fridge (550 litres) needs the seal replaced so after enquiring after a new seal I was told I would need to replace the entire door which they do not stock anymore!! This led to quite a search for a new fridge!

t and veg. Also, because we live in the tropics we need space to hold all our condiments, sauces, vegetables normally kept in the cupboard down south (potatoes and onions) everyones water bottles and school lunch boxes. The Mitsubishi L4 Grande is a massive 710 litres with finally enough fridge storage for everyone. I am now happy to be rid of my outside (overflow) fridge and bar fridge. I still have an extra large freezer, but I am a little surprised by the amount of space in the fridge what I call the 'daily ready use' freezer. I have it in the stainless steel with steel pole handles (loved the black but way to dark in my kitchen) which I think looks incredibly stylish an practical because the kids only seem to touch the handles not the fridge!Similar opinion? Excellent Fridge - Large
Background:
We decided to retire our older fridge and used product review to assess which fridge we'd buy next. We wanted a large, french door fridge with a good warranty.
Because we have had good experiences with Miele in the past, we examined their fridges. They looked good and well put together, but their warranty is only 2 years parts and labour. Now, a warranty, in my opinion, is how much the manufacturer backs their product NOT to go wrong in that time (at least to the 95th percentile). Given that the Miele fridges over double t...Read more
o triple the cost of other fridges, one could safely purchase 2 or 3 of these other fridges and get yourself 6 years' warranty combined. I'm not pointing the finger at Miele. I even examined the most expensive fridge I could find, the sub-zero fridges built in North America. They looked like awesome fridges, but when I spoke to their Australian representative a fridge costing nearly $50,000 (the sub-zero pro-48) only had a 2 year warranty. Mmmm.Similar opinion? Freezer Lights are not working
We bought this Refrigerator 2 weeks back, after two days we noticed that the freezer lights are not working, our kitchen is dark we are not able to see anything in the freezer section.
I called the customer care center and they said that there are no freezer lights to this model.
I complained this to the shop where i brought this Refrigerator and they did a call to the service center and the service center said that we have to change the lights in the Freezer than it will work. Don't know whom I believe, got frustated, selected this model refrigerator after reading so many reviews with huge amount of money, its waste of money and time.
Please let me know whether there are lights in the bottom Freezer section.

We had been looking for a unique, simple look to a fridge, a large enough size to fit our kitchen with even large space on the inside, whisper quiet, energy efficient, affordable (some may argue but considering what we have for our purchase, can't complain at all) i have kept temperamental veggies like lettuce for more than 2 weeks, my carrots do not get limp over the same period and still remain crispy fresh, a first in over 8 yrs. i do not need a fridge thermometer anymore.

The best - quiet, massive, great value
We looked for months for a (reliable) replacement for our 17 yo Whirlpool. Wanted a shallow fit due to kitchen design/cavity depth, but no consistent reviews for Miele or Liebherr ( or any brand other than Mitsubishi really). The L4 is highly commended for good reason. 5 yr full warranty, perfect interior layout, super quiet, looks great. Best fridge we've owned
We've had this fridge for 2 months now and we couldn't be happier with it. It is whisper quiet, looks great and is huge inside.
We love the freezer section. It has draws of various sizes that are well thought out. In some of the other fridges we looked at they were huge, and we didn't like the thought of rummaging through one big drawer full of frozen stuff looking for something.

Perfect replacement
Our Fisher Paykel died after Cyclone Marcia forcing us to look for a new fridge. Wife's niece worked for the local Mitsubishi store and she advised us to buy this model. The insurance pay-out didn't cover purchase price so we dug deep and cut down on groceries so we could get it. We haven't had it long enough to match running costs, but it sure is perfect for us. Delivery guys were marvellous.

Need to buy more food!!!!
Brought this fridge a few weeks ago now and can't be happier. Going from a 400L fridge to this one makes it look like we have no food in the fridge. There is so much space and extra wide shelves means we don't have to stack foods on top of one another. The freeze draws are awesome. Much easier to find foods.

Best fridge we have ever owned. Well worth the extra coin over other high end brand no longer Aussie
We have had this fridge for over a year. Be warned - it is large! Harvey Norman simply dumped it in the garage when it wouldn't fit through door in box. Even out of box it wouldn't fit, we had to remove the fridge doors, thankfully the Mitsubishi help line told us how and were fantastic.

of really cold items at once) but my first preference was the Mitsubishi one, however it was out of my budget. In the end I stretched and sacrificed, so glad I did. Glass shelves are easy to clean. Plenty of shelf space in fridge proper, but none of it tall. However, doors provide just enough tall storage. Two crispers, one with humidity control, allow fruit and veg that like different conditions to be stored accordingly. The extra width over many similar sized French door fridges means wide platters fit no problems and there is still space on the shelf. Temperature control is spot on and very efficient. The drawers in the freezer make it easy to grab what you want without having to pull heavy drawers out (like most French door fridges require you to do) and items in other drawers are kept cold. It is whisper quiet and cheaper to run than our old one that was only half the size. It us solid and well built, with everything fitting together very well.Similar opinion? A well designed fridge which works as good as it looks.
This is a brilliantly engineered fridge which is really impressive to look at. It works exceptionally well although the fridge section does seem to run a little warmer than the setting but not to the extent it would affect the food. The shelf options can be limiting if you have a special setup (we have a 5l water store we keep in the fridge). Overall I am really happy with the build quality and functionality of the fridge.

Couldn't be Happier
We bought this fridge after looking at every fridge in the shop, I even went as far as taking empty containers and trying them in all the fridges on display. We kept going back to the Mitsubishi. The space is great. If you are a family or do a lot of entertaining then I would recommend this fridge without hesitation. Drawers slide easily and are easy to see through. A very quiet fridge and freezer when running, can hardly hear it. We have had it for a couple of months and have not found anything we don't like. I would highly recommend this fridge.

my width space is 790 can i fit a mitubishi french door fridge in that space

No, the fridge is 850mm wide. I don't think there is a double door fridge that will fit this space. You may need to look for a single door fridge instead. We had a similar problem trying to find a double door fridge to fit a specific space and only the L4 would fit.

Hi Frank,
Thanks for the question. You will not be able to fit the L4 but yes, there are 2 other fridges that are available to fit that width. The WX500 or the EX574 I have included the link below.

can you lift the height of the fridge
1 answer
The distance between the bottom of the fridge and the floor is appr. 30mm and it does have adjustable supports, but not sure how far up they will adjust. I imagine probably 10 mm or so as the supports can be used to raise the fridge so the castors don't touch the floor.
