If you're looking for an alternative to the NBN, Moose Mobiles range of data plans offers great value for money. For business users, it would make for an excellent automatic failover service.

I'm glad I found Moose. Great service!
I was looking for a mobile service provider and found Moose. At first I was sceptical as I have not heard them before and the name Moose is not an Australian animal. But because of the good reviews, I chose Moose and I am glad I made that decision.
Easy activation, good signal and great service.

Money Saver
For a light user of internet this provider is perfect. $14.95 a month for unlimited calls and 2 Gb data is fine at half the price of Vodafone and with better coverage.

How did I ever live without it?
I have never had any problems at all, with any of it, since I joined.
Phone calls have always worked, at my end, as Calls to my daughter are sometimes a problem because of where she lives, & always has been.
I've always been scared on previous plans to use my Data & now I just use it when I need to & it's great.

Great to deal with. Very supportive over the phone. Friendly and efficient.
Great coverage in a major regional city, haven't experienced any dropouts.
Speeds sufficient for internet browsing and spotify.
Don;t download films so can't comment on download speeds.
Love the app which shows usage for the month and the reminders about usage too.

Can't complain! They really wanted my business
Good network coverage on Optus lines, decent speeds. What impressed me most is how they wanted my business - after something not working in order to sign up initially, they called me in order to explain what had happened at their end and when I could try again.

It does what it's meant to do,...no more, sometimes a bit less. Would I buy it again,..probably
Poor signal where I live meaning that quite often, people cant hear me, or I can't hear them. Don't really use the data connection so can't objectively comment. Other than that, If I'm in the car or out and about,..it meets the expectations that a phone should be able to connect to a provider.

Simple and cheap
It just works, no problems with connections or speed. Data calls call allowances are excellent value for the price. Direct debit each month means hassle free communications and interenet access

Good service great price
Reliable enough for my needs.. There are areas and times of dropouts especially with data.. But I have 3 phones with their service one being for my teen and no complaints.

Great customer service
Network was fine. Data download speed was also fine. No dropouts at all. Every time I called them they were very helpful. No issues at all. I haven't had any problems at all.

Mobile Phone service provider
I signed up with moose on the $14 / month plan. Very Happy with the service & cost so far would recommend them to anyone. No problems with coverage and we have been away to some remote places.

the backup service is excellent
I rang regarding a sim card fault and the had it fixed in a few minutes
the guy I spoke to knew his stuff, and it is all local, not an overseas call centre.

Good enough
Haven't had any problems so far. Reliable, some areas some slower speed but still enough for streaming series. Cant complain. Happy to be with this provider. Cant really say much more

Perfect plan if you don't live on internet
Can make all the calls i need local & STD with 2GB which covers facebook & some browsing
no drop outs & cheap $14 a month perfect for what i need as i don't live on the internet

Excellent options & value
Do not notice any difference to other providers (ie telstra, Optus). Is used by my wife, and now her mother who are both not big users of mobiles or need for data. No longer paying for data or calls which were never needed.

Great product
I was with Optus for years and changed due to cost savings with Moose. The monthly data, coverage and speeds are basically identical...at almost half the price! The only downside is the international roaming options- the options with roaming aren’t as good as the major telcos, but it’s easy enough to buy a travel sim when overseas.

Loving it.
I am only with Moose for my partner & my mobiles.
Very competitive pricing.
Runs off the Optus network.
No worries so far....
Much better than my previous provider.
If you are a pensioner try them for mobile....at $7.80/month worth it. 200min talk time & 1GB of data. :)

I’ve been trying to activate my sim since Friday. I have sent emails and no response except given a ticket no. I have rung twice and both times I have been told it’s in the process. I have an active number with Telstra. So I don’t know what the problem is. Any help please.

Current COVID-19 environment is probably not helping. Must have a backlog of activations to process. Suggest you reply again to the email as well as ringing customer service and advise you have been waiting for your activation since Friday. Hopefully they will get to it on Monday.
Remember to reset you Network Connection to ensure everything connects correctly.

Hi Pickleslips,
Once a service is active on your SIM card, you won't be able to change the number affiliated with that exact SIM card. However, what you can do is sign up to a service with a new number which you can use temporarily while you decide what to do with your existing number. Then, when you're ready to transfer your number you'll need to sign up to a new service that will come with a new SIM card with which we can begin the transfer process.
It's a bit of a workaround, but this should allow you to use our service while preparing to move your number across at a later date.

As of yet we haven't been allocated any extra data by Optus to provide to our customers, but we are in the middle of negotiations with them at the moment.
