Worst customer service experience.
I have been with bank for more than 3 years with more than million dollar of home loan with NAB. worst customer service, end up moving all my loans to another bank.

NAB - (N)ot A (B)ank for the people
I have been a long term customer with personal and business dealings.
It's all smoke and mirrors. The CEO and directors have no idea on what is going on in the real world. They send out feel good love letters and emails.
Banking executives and managers hide everything. Ground level staff have there hands tied.
The most common statements
" I'll get back to you "
" Sorry I didn't get back to you "
You make all requests
I have hundreds of emails and made hundreds of calls just in the last 2 years and am still at sage one
I have a case with AGFA against NAB and even AGFA are being controlled by NAB as well as the other banks.
I will not give up and will take the fight on for all of us out there

In fairness to NAB Bank they did waive interest fees on my C.C. for six months, but only after I contacted FICA
I have had a Credit Card with NAB since early 2018. Due to Covid-19 and a loss of working hours, I requested that NAB Bank freeze and or reduce the interest on my card. Initially this was declined (see earlier posting) but after I lodged a formal complaint with FICA (Financial Industry Complaints Authority) they got back to me and agreed to waive 6 months off of my current C.C. (this equates to about $550.00 worth of interest) This was a few weeks ago and since that time, I have paid off the card in full and asked for the account to be closed. ...Read more
So in fairness to NAB they did (eventually) do what I asked. It however took some strong-arming to get there. Just to deviate a bit, I did also manage to get through to their call centre relatively easily, and the customer service officer I dealt with was lovely (for a change) On a bit more of a negative note, I went online last night to check my credit file (via Credit Savvy) and noticed that the credit card account with NAB was still listed as open/active. I will give NAB another couple of days, and then check again and then get onto them, if they have not closed the account for good. I don't want an active account sitting on my credit file as I have had issues with other financial institutions, not properly closing down accounts from years ago, and then suddenly reactivating them, if any money accidentally goes in there.Similar opinion? Worst business bank ever - no customer loyalty
Don't waste your time. They would not give me a short term overdraft to bring in PPE - (safety product) for our front line Health Workers. I have been a business and personal customer for over 30 years, never defaulting on any loan or contract in that period - Now during these hard times when we need assistance they run for the hills. They have made a fortune from me - But as per usual with the NAB - Customer loyalty means nothing - This is the last straw. Tomorrow I am shopping around for a new bank if anyone wants my business - bye bye NAB.

They are blood suckers, disgusting, stay away from these fools.
My wife opened an account online, she then deposited the money into the account before she went back to China, when she needed the money during the coronavirus crisis, the bank told her then she could not withdraw the money due to some ID verification, my wife asked them to lift the restriction because she needed the money so badly, they told her to go to an Australian consular that was at least 6 hours away and travelling was not not a good idea because of the virus. account did not go through and you could not deposit the money, that would be all right, but instead of doing the right thing, they are keeping my wife's money like blood suckers, you can never trust these fools when you desperately need the money.1 comment

The worst home loan provider ever!!!!!
The wait time to speak with someone who is qualified to answer home loan related questions is over 1.5 hours. Gatekeepers who have no knowledge of homeloan will pick up the phone and put you on hold. The whole system is invalid, outdated, dumb and no idea about what's customer service. It's crazy a big bank like this can have such horrific customer support process. It's really sad management do not do their work properly.

Yikes.
Putting aside the very basic app and online banking...
Opening a dispute is a nightmare and they make you jump hoops...
Changing telephone/online password is glitchy and unreliable...
People in branch tell you one thing then say the opposite...

don`t bother
i went into an NAB branch to see there mortgage manager on the 19th of February,i had all my paper work and she told me she would contact me in a few days, 14 days passed and nothing, when i rang she was busy or in a meeting, i was told a Mobil lender would contact me with in 48 hrs {never happened}i again rang and one of the Mobil Agents answered the phone and apologized for the problems i was having and assured me he would personally attend to it, i sent him the requested paper work and today the 8/4/2020 not a single word, not sure why they are advertising the $4000 as there obviously not interested {i have 3 mortgages}at over half a million

Worst customer service
Been with NAB 3 years. Don’t bank with It. Just found out It’s a thief. They don’t care. A customer service is not helping too. I want to give a zero star if I can.

Useless
iPhone app finger print or Face ID not applicable after a while very annoying, CBA can manage it haven’t had a problem, the point of a app is convenience nab app is not convenient or quick.

Offered $14.00 credit refund for one month, in response to COVID-19 economic crisis.
I have been with NAB Bank since 2016 where I have a Credit card account. I phoned their call centre today to speak to someone about getting the interest rate on my credit card (which currently sits at around 21.95%) frozen or reduced because my employment hours are currently, pretty much non existent. The first CSO I was put through to, stated that she was unable to assist me because I was not running a large business, nor did I have an investment account with them, that contained a minimum of $1000,00k. nterest reverse payment for $14.00 which she advised me, could take up to three months to be authorised. She also advised me that if I wished to go onto a Hardship Plan, this would only be for three months and at the end of the three months, I would need to immediately pay all the arrears amount I owed (which could amount to several hundred dollars)I was also advised by NAB that entering into a hardship agreement, would mean that this information "may" be lodged against my credit reporting file, as I was essentially consenting to go into default mode. I said this is not appropriate what other services do you have for me, she said she could put me through to card lending services. They essentially told me that NABS responses to Covid-19 is that there are no specific hardship provisions for personal lenders, and that other than accept the $14.00 interest payment, they are unwilling to assist me, because they do not believe that COVID-19 is an economic issue for persons like myself. They stated that unless I take on a hardship application (which would more than likely default my credit rating) they cannot assist me in anyway. Staff from the settlement department was freaking rude and disconnected the call without listening to the actual issue raised.

Crappy customer service
Do not bank with the NAB. They make promises they can’t keep and then they don’t care. And then they tell you that they can’t advise you when the matter will be resolved. Go with another bank with good customer service!

Time to leave NAB
Today both my debit card and credit card was declined, so I visited NAB at Werribee Plaza and these are the outcomes:
* Debit card declined due to sent to old address even though new dress was updated on internet banking 18 months ago and they send other correspondence to current address (banks fault)
* Credit card declined for an unknown reason, can't get through to card department over the phone due to heavy phone traffic (banks fault - make billions/employ as few as possible)

Unprofessional and incompetent
I just sat on the phone for one hour and 45 minutes waiting to speak to someone from your home loan department about my complaint - as my complaint manager refuses to call me to provide updates. When the phone was finally answered, the girl said Hello, I replied with Hello and she hung up on me.
I call the NAB resolve team to make a complaint and see if they can put me in direct contact with that team, they said they would raise a complaint but it would take 5-7 days (perhaps longer) for someone to contact me so I can get the info I need.

xtremely unprofessional NAB, I hope your CEO doesn't lose any money in this crisis and continues to lead the life he was leading before COVID-19. Absolutely horrible services! DO NOT BANK WITH NAB!
Have been with NAB since 2015 when I first came to Australia. Last year they decided to close most of my accounts and two visa cards without giving any reasons. Then this year they placed a block on my Internet Banking and I am not be able to access my funds of more than $70k in my personal transaction account even after I refinanced my NAB home loan with another bank and fully paid out the loan. As I am in 14 days self-isolation at the moment, had to be on the phone for more than an hour asking them to lift the block so that I can access my funds. The issue still hasn't been resolved and they asked me to go to the branch after the isolation. NAB is nothing but a thief who takes money that does not belong to them!

Pirates are holding funds instead of sending it instantly via osko!
I have pay ID sent $2,000 via osko to my friend who also has OSKO and a pay ID so payments should be received instantly yet here we are 1 day later no payment has been received!
NAB are holding the funds rather than transfer it instantly as they are supposed for financial gain! They are pirates!!!!!!!
Note the status on Osko now states “ unavailable “ sneaky nab very sneaky

Disgraceful
Applied for a personal loan spent a half hour on hold before spending 3 and a half hours going thru finances which I had to keep repeating as he kept forgetting what I told him. Waited a week no call, so I rang again on hold for a half hour before being told the person who was handling my loan was on annual leave and had not passed it on. I was told I would get a call back,didn't happen. A week later got a call from original person to find out I would need to go thru it all again. I gave up rang latitude loans approved after one day with a lower percent

Interest charged even when you've paid full amount on due date
Be aware of interest charges on your card even if you paid the full amount before due date!!!
NAB charges you interest for the period in-between the statement date end, and the payment due date,
resulting on interest charges every month even if you paid the balance in total and on time!!
Dirty tricks shameful !!!

Crap service, just because I want to change banks, you take a month for a discharge. Nice way to make extra interest.
WA, I’ve been with them since 2005. Due to divorce needed to refinance. Rang NAB 4 times and due to the run around decided to go through broker. Now holding up discharge. Guess what NAB, I’m selling that house and will be buying a new one, won’t be using your bank for that loan

I'm with NAB but my friend isn't. Can she deposit cash into an atm and send it to my nab account? Does it matter which atm she uses? Her banks atm? Mine? Any?

No she can't deposit into a NAB ATM if she doesn't have a card to access it. Why would she want to do this? To send you money all she needs to do, is send it via online banking from her bank account to yours. Most banks have OSKO payment systems which allow you to pay someone in real time. So I need to pay you for something, I go online I submit your bank account via your bsb and account number and with OSKO payments, you will receive the money immediately.

For certain reasons she wants it to be an anonymous deposit so not account to account. I know it can be done. I just don't know if it has to be done via my own banks atm or if it can be done from here to mine OR from any atm to mine. She would use her card.

No it can't be done. all banking transactions within Australia are tracked. Sounds to me like your friend is a bit shady. I would avoid attempting to assist her in her anonymous deposits, because it sounds suspiciously like some kind of fraudulent activity is happening.

You should be able if you have the app click on pay anyone and put in the details that should work
What error message are you getting? You may have an incorrect account number or BSB number and or the other parties bank account is closed?

It's been two months, they still haven't sorted out the issue, my wife urgently needed the money, this kind of cunning bank, why they don't go bankrupt? If I can I would burn down the stupid bank, we are that angry.
