Had the same unit since about 1999 and we only had one minor recent problem with the buttons. The beauty of this thing is it is simple. It doesnt have electronics which breakdown on other brands. The problem with most appliances these days is that they are jammed with electronic circuitry which just burns out and causes warranty issues. Highly recommend this heater.
reliable and instant heat
happy with the whole thing

I think I have problem with pilot light/ignite button, when let it go the heater goes out. Where to fix?

The wiring is broke or disconnected, this is a common issue with this heater. You will have to open the case and resolder it...easy job. Lousy wiring design issue.

I think this is the most fantastic heater! My whole house, 4 bedroom gets warm from the 7 burners running. I chose a gas heater as it is a better choice for the environment, but running it full ball for a while really does get expensive. the fan (run by electricity) has 2 speeds, high is quite noisy, and low which is perfect for when the house is warm to maintain the heat. The fact that it turns off if tilted too far is also very reassuring.
heats the whole house
a bit expensive to run, kids can burn themselves easily

We've had our Brigadier for 10 yrs and love it. It has worked without fault and provided a warm, cosy atmosphere for 10 winters. The first and only issue has occurred this yr & is minor (just needs a service) which is exceptional after 10 yrs. We like the heater so much that rather than look at a new one we will happily pay to have it serviced. Highly recommend this heater.
Fast, cosy heat. Solid build quality. Cheap to run.
Nothing that comes to mind

Terrible

This heater is a clunker. It works but lacks any degree of finesse. It is a difficult heater to start and the three pushbuttons operate the temperature scale in a very awkward and convoluted way.
nothing much really
slow to ignite
clumsy push button operation
lacks dust filter
physically oversized
