The worst experience I've had with an insurance company
I have made a claim in good faith with company after being with them for 10 years. After 6 weeks of waiting they tell me the claim will not be covered.
The 1st problem arose when they said the car would be towed to a specific crash repairs. The owner of the crash repairs called me a short time later and stated not to have to car towed to them as they do not do mechanical work as it was a damaged front drive shaft caused by an impact.

Worst insurance company and very Unprofessional
I have been with real insurance for a year and I had a car accident recently. I have never experienced something like this before they are worst insurance company, their team members misinform people about car pick up dates. They tell you to call the repairer to discuss about the car instead of them doing that job they are the best example of why people shouldn’t trust new Insurance companies .

Cheaper than Youi
I was with Youi and they sent me a new quote for another 12 months. I never made claims and It was $840 annually. I wasn't happy so started looking for if there are any other options. I called Real Car Insurance and talked to Christopher. Now my insurance fee is down to $465.

Highly recommend Real Car Insurance
Many years, never required roadside assistance, however, my car was struck by a hit and run car in a car park, a witness took details, I contacted Police and they found the culprit, dealt with it, I contacted you and your people organised everything, excellent (not my fault) Thank You.

Horrified at increase in policy after only 1 claim and they wont budge on the price. They could not
I have been with real for about 8 years and only recently had a claim. The claim was easy enough but my new policy is a shock they have increased the premium by about $250 per year and devalued my car. When I called them to see if they could give me a better offer they were absolutely indifferent and couldn't care less. I thought that the cost of my premium plus the excess if Paid would cover me, it not what is the use of Insuring your car. I am shopping around and have already received a less expensive quote on my first try. I will be cancelling my policy with Real and advise anyone else not to make a claim if they are with them. Not worth it.

Be careful of this company
I took out a car insurance policy with that coy last year because they offered me the cheapest deal. When the policy was to be renewed in June of this year, they sent me a renewal certificate outlining the new premium. I got the shock as the premium jumped nearly almost double. I called up and was told by someone based in south Africa to take it or leave it. I told her that I'd go somewhere else. However that is not what i wanted to tell you here.

t they did was totally wrong and unacceptable. They should not have stored my credit card details and debitted it without my permission. They did not even notify me when they took the money out. There was no transparency. Now i have to deal with the credit card provider with the outstanding interest charges and late payment fees as a result. A lesson learnt.Greenstone F.Real Insurance

Pay As You Drive, is the best.
As my husband and myself are retired, we do not drive enough kilometers to use an insurance that does'nt consider the amount you drive. We have made significant savings with Real. The setting up process was very professional and the customer service was excellent.

Tail chasers - unnecessarily difficult to deal with
I changed my policy to annual payment from monthly, which was $43/mth. When I received the revised renewal it was over $630 (not communicated but I should have asked). Obviously this did not seem right so I called them again, and stated that if it was going to be > $100 more to go annual I'll stay on the monthly. eing that they would reinstate the original $43/mth renewal. The next day, I received an email to say that they have instated the latest policy under the original with no details, but this was followed up with a phone call to say that the $632 annual was reinstated! I'm fairly certain that is bordering on illegal, but needless to say my 8 years of insuring with Real is at an end.1 comment

That long phone call is surely not necessary!
All those questions can be sent electronically, being stuck on the phone for over 30 minutes to give a quote is enough to avoid REAL insurance . In fact I think it’s why I decided not to go ahead with car insurance. After 20 minutes I gave up! U really need to sort this out. Make it 10 minutes or less!

Excellent car insurance company.
I chose Real insurance because their excess was by far the lowest, and they were straightforward in other conditions. I wasnt sure how theyd actually go in a claim though.
I got their third party property policy, and then had to make a claim for a small accident. I contacted them & let them know the other party's details, and sat back & waited.
They completed the repair for the other party without any hiccup. They charged the $500 excess, and that was it.

I received a quote to renew my insurance and it has gone up as it always does even if you never make a claim. This is just 3rd party, fire & theft for a 1999 car that is lucky to be worth $2000 and they insure it for up to $10,000. They said it would be cheaper if you pay annually instead of by the month to which i asked for the quote and they took around $9 off the premium...really? I had some other quotes which were cheaper and I asked could they do anything else to keep me as a customer and they said no.
I was just wondering why you expect your current customers to pay more for the same thing than a new customer?

You're absolutely right to ask questions. I wrote off a car in August and I was paying my comprehensive car insurance by the month. The insurance renewal was in June and Real Insurance deducted the next 10 months worth of premium (just over $1000). In other words, they charged me 10 months worth of insurance on a car that no longer exists. Look elsewhere for insurance and check the PDS very carefully to make sure that in the event you have to make a claim that they don't punish you! Don't think twice about this mob - move on!
