Watch out for unfair contract terms
Virtual office services are fine, but wait until you want to cancel...
You'll be auto-renewed 3 months before the end of your term, for another 6/12 months (depending on your contract), with no notice whatsoever, and no opportunity to cancel.
Unless you like being taken for a ride, avoid.

Don't Be fooled
Their pre sales service is great and fools you into thinking its going to be excellent. Everything after this is a total failure. Don't do it, look elsewhere and you'll be a happier person. I'm currently 2 months before the end of my first agreement, I was signed up "automatically" to a 6 month extension and now I cannot leave the agreement for 8 months. Be cautious and like I mentioned earlier perhaps look elsewhere for a better option there are plenty around.

So far OK.
Herein below is my 2017 review, I gave just 3 stars based on "So far OK". At that time it was only 3 moths into the contract.
After one year, upon completion of the contract, I moved out of Regus but it was a business decision, not due to any other issue with Regus.
My experience with Regus is still "OK".
End of contract, office "reinstating" fee is bit high although they did not have much to do. I left the office in a very clean state where new tenant could occupy the office straightaway. Yet, Regus charge the office reinstating or cleaning...Read more

Terrible experience with Regus!!
Cannot agree more with all the bad reviews. They do not care about you or your business. The only thing they care about is get more money out of your pocket. With their terrific telephone answering services, we have lost so many potential customers. And now we have to stuck with them for another year because they automatically renew my contract and refuse to cancel it.

Office is beautiful but the service underneath is painful....
My wife and I moved our offices into a Regus office space in October. We are still fighting with billing errors and twice I've had to try to get our network fixed. This 2nd time I've asked the tech dept to call me so we could work on getting it fixed together but they won't give me a time to call, they just keep trying to call and won't leave a voice mail. They expect to call me and me not to be busy. I'm here for 1 year but that might be it....
That issue finally got resolved and no more issues except for billing. DON'T give them credi...Read more

Bad service. Too much staff turnover and do not believe a word they say
Be careful when entering into a contract with REGUS. The person you sign the contract in will be most likely not the person who deals with your potential exit. In my 2 years with REGUS (in the same centre), they have had 5 different managers (high staff turnover). They promise you the world and underdeliver. Absolutely underwhelming. I am talking about a REGUS location in Australia (Melbourne). Also, they have failed to provide a refund of the retainer/ deposit to date (after a few months of chasing up). Not sure what they are dealing with and how come their customer service and customer experience (with most people I know who use them) are so poor.

Continuous charges appear on my CC even after cancelling.... Regus Martin Place
during my lease I was always overcharged and their backend systems seemed to be in a total mess. Many calls to their office manager went un answered and unresolved. I finished my lease and left and the charges continued despite the fact I have cancelled my account, notified Regus of that, sending them many emails asking them to stop. Just got another $700 charge with no invoice. BTW, I moved to WeWork across the street and they are flawless.

Terrible don't use
Don't expect your phone calls to be returned as after repeated attempts to get someone from accounts to return my phone calls they don't. Don't use their credit card direct debit as their systems don't appear to work and invoices go missing. Stay away from this company please unless you want endless amounts of frustration and for bills for amounts you don't even owe to go through to debt collectors.

Regus at Blacktown
Do yourself a favour and do not use these guys! I promise it will end with you pulling your hair out of your head. Their staff are extremely unprofessional and have no concept of the word customer service. The entire team including senior management are extremely incompetent at their jobs and this has to be up there with the worst customer experiences of all time. Be aware of the automatic renewal clause in the contract!

You are paying for a harassment service.
I started leasing an office space in Regus and unfortunately right from the start the service agreement was full of hidden extras and the staff turn over was huge, so consequently and the service provided by the front desk staff was generally inconsistent and abysmal.
The only jobs the "service" staff are trained in and act on is sending invoices and pursuing them. Servicing members leasing their office space is right at the bottom of the job description.
When you try to leave be prepared for a massive legal argument that is painful and one ...Read more

The worst to deal with
I have been with them for 8 months now and it all started good but now has turned horrible. Calls not being transferred and now they want to charge me for storing a small box and some mail. I signed up stating that I will only be in the office every 1-3 months and they said that's fine just collect them then. Now they are charging me $5 per day for storage. I know for a fact that the business at Blacktown NSW have hardly any business and my little bit of mail and 1 box here or there is taking up hardly any room.
I warn everybody to stay clear of these guys, as they will just rip you off blind. The area managers haven't even got the manners to ring you.

Worst Customer Service Possible
I will not delve into the horror story of our experience, but after 7 years of being with this crew, I would have expected better! They except no responsibility for anything and blame the customer. The "auto renew" new really without letting your know (always read the small print as the devil is in the detail). You lodge a complaint that gets pawned off to another area that states "there's fault on both side here" but still refuse to accept responsibility for stuff ups! A disaster and quite possibly the worse customer service experience I've en...Read more
dured in a very long time! If I could rate it less than Zero I would! Beware consumers. These people don't know the meaning of the word "customer" let alone know how to treat one! They truly are "No care No responsibility". Needless to say, there is nowhere to go with your complaint! Nowhere the cares anyway! I requested their head of operations name and contact number, and needless to say I'm still waiting.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Absolute scammers BEWARE
We have been charged thousands for "one-off" internet charges on top of our rent. They say this is because an "extra device" accessed the wifi!! In other words, if you interchange your personal and work phone onto the wifi network, this can be triggered as an "extra device" and we are charged not hundreds, but thousands in 2 months. This is absolutely outrageous and a disgrace. We are now chasing the money back. Their customer service is a disgrace and we may have to pursue legal action.

stances! Have a look on product.review review site at this company. One of the lowest scores you will see. This company's business model is to extort you to stay on. They increase the "bond" or "retainer" every time you renew for no reason so they end up holding thousands of dollars. Imagine paying a bond and it doesn't just go up. It doubles and then triples. Be very very careful, they will say in their Terms and Conditions they reserve the right to alter the "retainer". Also they force you to direct debit and then they smash your credit card for unexplainable items and their disgraceful customer service don't reply. We are forced into rent increases of 15% after extending our lease for 6 month periods. Be even more careful is that they auto-extend your lease without telling you (it's buried in the terms and conditions) and then they gouge your credit card even more. Also if someone uses your wifi (that you have paid for) and they are not an "approved person" even if a guest in your office, you can be up for THOUSANDS in costs. The single-most untrustworthy and deceptive company I have ever dealt with. We are going to the ombudsman about them and hope for some luck.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Absolutely Woeful! Never use Regus!
I recently took out a Virtual Office plan with Regus. Like many of the reviewers here, Regus took payments incorrectly. In this case, I hit the "pay now" button on the My Regus account platform and it deducted the payment twice from my card. Unbelievably, the invoice continued to show "not paid." Despite repeated requests, Regus seem absolutely unworried by the issue and refuse to accept they have a problem with their payment platform. In fact, they even tried to blame me for the issue! I have never encountered such arrogance from a customer service perspective in my life!

I'm not going into the full story but I agree with most of the other reviews here. It took 12 months of emails and follow ups to stop the automated deductions.

We are so disappointed with the services provided by Regus.
On 22/03/2016, Regus auto withdraw fund from our account incorrectly, without giving any notice before head and without authority. We requested refund on 24/03/2016 and keep chasing for the refund but the regus staff just ignore our request and we didn't receive any refund as at today 19/04/2016. It has been a month almost!!!!

If I could rate zero stars I would!!
BE AWARE!! This is not a professional company. I have been over charged by approx. $5000 which was taken from my credit card without my authorisation. This is now been investigated though by my bank as Fraud. Hidden fees on exit also, hidden by referring you to "house rules" which is a seperate document to the contract. This company is the most highly disorganised, money grabbing company I have come into contact with. Please do not waste your time or money.

Read the lease carefully and prepare to chase, chase, chase for retainer refunds
Two major issues. a) The guys signing you up to the deal are not aware or do not disclose the finer details embedded in the text. b) Are abysmal returning retainers and will make you jump through hoops before returning your funds. Looks like no one there knows what's going on.
If you need pointers as to what to look at in the lease, give me a shout. It's dirty.

Disorganised, underhanded, and downright horrible to deal with.
We are now coming to the end of 6 months with Regus at 380 St Kilda Road and have been consistently amazed at the lack of transparency this company has in regards to pricing, it's inability to manage their own business properly, and their complete lack of customer service.
In 6 months, we have had the following experiences:
Charged twice in one month for our office space, with money taken from our account.
Charged for phone calls that were never made by us on five occasions (but eventually managed to get credit notes from them).
Out of 8 ...Read more

Unusable, will keep your personal information
They never sent me any membership cards or information, and ignored my emails. After I demanded they cancel my membership they did so, but refused to remove all personal information with regards to me from their database. They feigned ignorance about what privacy laws are - at least I hope that they were pretending, as I shudder at the thought they actually don't know. Intolerable. DO NOT USE. I've never reviewed anything before, but then again no 'legitimate' business has ever stolen my personal information before.

Hi Guys, thanks for the heads up, saves me a lot of heartache. Is this just here in Australia or are their Asian offices just as bad? We have a business partner in the Philippines (Davoa) that we asked to check out his local Regus.

Based on my research they are just as bad globally as they are in Australia.
I’ve felt very aggrieved about my situation with Regus so I’ve done a lot of research on the company. They have an awful reputation in just about any territory you can think of.
Stay away from them.
Their financial department is in Malasia I believe and they are a global company. Their staff cant even get traction with management. I feel this contributed to how hard it was to get anything done. Read the fine print and then decide. That room exit fee is just exhorbitant. I was only there 2 months and they still processed it. I reversed it from my credit card as I was under the impression it kicked in after 3 months. See how we go. Goodluck.

Hi all,
I am looking for shared office space and was considering Regus until I read all these reviews. Thanks so much to all for taking the time to write about it and warn the rest of us! Has anybody tried Genesis offices? They are smaller and have only one location opposite Museum station as far as I can see. Any other shared office recommendations at reasonable prices? We are considering Genesis and Wework Pyrmont at the moment. Any advice or recommendations would be most welcome and appreciated!
Cheers,
Peter

stay clear of at work spaces no matter what you do, do not go there! We are preparing a case against them to get our bond back, as they are illegally holding money. They charge you $3.50 for an email to say you have mail, or someone waiting at the front desk. No maintenance has been done since they took over the property. Management are not helpful. Stay away.
I am currently sharing an office in Wynyard right next to the station. Big desks, lots of space and not too noisy. The Company that leases the desks is Aurora Design.
Good luck!

Hi, we're very unhappy Regus customers, stuck with them because they're refusing let us get out.
Unaware of their bad service, we signed up for a year contract with them on an auto debit of fees. Now after the year, they're not letting us cancel, and keep automatically debiting money.
Would any users on this site know if there is a board or authority we can complain to, anyone who can help us.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

You could go to Fair Trading but if the agreement is B2B they probably won't be much help. Read the fine print of your contract - pretty sure they cannot force you to renew your lease, provided you gave the required amount of notice etc. If you didn't give the required amount of notice, you may be stuck. You may need to seek legal advice - they are an unscrupulous company and an expert will give better advice than you'll get here.
Contact their Area Manager. Craige Marquart. He helped me to terminate my account. If you're on Twitter, send a tweet about your problem and say you wish to contact Craige. To Regus Asia office. Their customer service will reply and you can contact them with details. All the best.
Regus over charged us by $5000 and kept deducting money from my account without my permission. The only way it stopped was by cancelling my credit card and getting a new one. The bank refunded my money within 1 week and are now chasing Regus for fraud. Highly recommend removing your banking dets from their clutches.
