Don't sign with Regus. Go elsewhere
We have been dealing with Regus for a few months and are so angry with the level of service they provide.
[name removed] is a compulsive liar and thinks as a manager she can treat tenants with disrespect. She tries to charge people for items they don't use and for items that don't exist.
We have reported Regus to the police who are now investigating them for fraud and because she represents the company she is the one they are looking at.
PLEASE don't use this company.

Negative Vibe, Bad attitude and lot of miscommunication
When we came to Brisbane office, they were good and cooperative. Now, their attitude towards customers / maybe existing customers is non-cooperative. Every time I speak with them, I get negative vibe.
I am currently under contract (not for long), I don't think they will see me again. I am not sure, how can they fill their empty spaces in office with this negative vibe and uncooperative attitude.

Terrible accounting practices
Took us almost 6 months to have our bond and retainer returned, and only after threatening legal action. Staff in Melbourne are as pleasant and helpful as they can be, but ultimately have no authority. We were charged even after cancelling, and had to jump through numerous hoops, and follow up constantly and quite aggressively until we finally received our money back.
Also, read your initial contract carefully - we were slugged with a $1,000 "exit fee". Cleaners are expensive in Melbourne, it seems.
Would definitely NOT recommend after our experience.

Money hungry
The receptionist are nice people and the facility are good. That's it though! They don't allow reviews because of how terrible they are. They take your money and dont really care about anything else. They wont let you talk to anyone they won't help at all. I have never dealt with such a faceless money grubling company.

Do not use - They charge more than the signed contract terms and make no effort to fix despite admit
Signed up to a 12 month contract. Since then have received an invoice each month (which is direct debited) for a higher amount, which is considerably more. Despite repeated questioning and complaints raised - which have been acknowledged and apologised for, nothing has actually been done to fix the problem. Now going on six months.... During this time they have had constant high staff turnover meaning back to square one each time when raising the complaint. We would never use Regus again or ever recommend them.

Most dishonest billing & accounting system
After signup and your phone number is allocated and in use, you are trapped in a dishonest serviced office billing system, where hidden costs, and accounting errors are the norm. Huge staff turnover at all their offices and nobody seems to give a satisfactory answer to your query, issues are always passed on to someone else, or reverted to the Asian head Office. You will typically wait 4-7 days for head office accounting department to respond, in the meantime, their automated billing system will disconnect your business phone without advising y...Read more
ou. Over the years our company has been a full-time office tenant and virtual package client in Regus NSW & QLD. From our dealings with Regus, I would NOT recommend any start-up or established company sign up to their dishonest billing system and heavy handed approach when invoices are disputed.Similar opinion? Dishonest, hidden costs, money grabber
Dishonest, fraudulent operators. Charge you three time more than you agree to pay. Hard to believe that their business still exist today.
I am a user at their Sydney Martin place. I was attracted by their 2 hours free usage of consultation room per week if I sign on a full virtual office package. Only when I sign on did i get told I have to show myself physically at their reception on the same day to book the room if the room if available. I could not book it online or telephone and I could not prebook. Considering that most of my meetings ar...Read more

Worst Company
The worst company I have experienced, didnt tell me that they had stopped collecting payments and stopped forwarding mail to me, resulted in a fine from Companies house and another companies vat returns being delayed.
Complained to them and they told me that they often have issues receiving post as there are 3 other addresses that post goes to, when i asked them why they then said that one of the companies was not registered even though i have an email to prove it from there team.
Waste of money and cannot deliver on the services that they charge for.
Never again

False invoices, legal action needed - Melbourne Heidelburg
Way too many hidden costs. I left the premises on Nov 1st, and I get a notice of $1000 as the exit fee. Before I left, I ensured space is in the same condition, in fact, I cleaned it up too. But I was charged $52 per sqm anyway.
They put this kitchen amenities charges, exit fee charges and internet charges upon exiting. Total fraud. I am going to get an explanation for every penny they've charged me from the invoice. There is a $380 apparent discrepancy on my invoice that they completely ignore. They now forwarded my case to Debt Collection...Read more

One word- REGRET
I regret ever stepping through their door.
The offices look great, but the sales staff mislead about the way the costs work, and much is not revealed.
For example they will not reveal that there is a charge of more than $50 per square meter of your office to clean it after you move out.
This is billed to you even if you leave the office perfectly clean and get back _all_ your bond. That's right. If you leave the office in the same state you found it, with no damage and no mess, you will pay over $700 to "clean" a 3.5m by 3.5m room.
Then, ...Read more
there's the bond itself. Like many in this site I had to raise holy hell to get them to actually pay it back. They were weeks late, and all I would get is vague non-committal replies to emails and delay after delay. I got sick of it after yet another empty promise from their community manager that lead to no result. I went down to their office and had it out with them. I'm pleased to say that actually forcing them to deal with it on my terms suddenly resulted in the money being in my account the next day. There's no reason for them to not pay back what they owe. We all know they're completely inflexible if they are owed money. But they seem to be able to miraculously pay their debt in hours when offered no choice.Similar opinion? Where is my bond? Absolute thugs
Been waiting for my bond for weeks. All contractual obligations met, been ripped off late fees, rude and doggy staff. All they say when you follow up is we will do it ASAP. It usually takes up to 90 days. If you want peace of mind work from home. You will be better off overall.

Terrible customer service
Appalling service, constant errors with mail delivery and almost impossible to cancel the service. After 9 months of attempting to cancel this they are still pulling direct debits from my account, despite multiple times being told the service was cancelled and no further payment deductions would occur. Strongly advise against using them.

Accounting Nightmare Stay away
I have had nothing but issues since the commencement of my contract. I am a property person but have found the accounting and billing system a nightmare. Staff do not listen and there is no way to speak to the accounting department. Slugged with several late fees despite staff confirming in writing that the payments were misplaced in other customer's accounts. Left several messages at the centre but no response on a payment returned, tried sorting out but in the meanwhile kept being slugged with late fees. Been told that the refund of bond/reta...Read more
iner takes 60-90 days to process. When they slug you with late fees for being a day late how do they get away by keeping your money for 3 months. Highly not recommended. Terrible experience. August 31st 2017 Update: AVOID Accounting nightmare and highway robbers You have to be braindead like me to join Regus. Had nothing but issues since I took a virtual office. Called to query invoices but no one returns calls. I get slugged late fees and is forced to pay. Then receive an email to say that the payments were misplaced. When i query refund of fees they stand ground and do not refund, but offer boardroom usage for whole day, a useless service. They confirm that all payments were up to date while lodging retainer refund and slug more than half retainer, when queried they say the charges were payable with no justification. I ask for invoices for payment receipted been waiting 4 weeks. The part retainer was not returned for 3 months. Stay away or you will repent. Most unethical business I have ever dealt with.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Contract issues are a problem, billing is tricky but lack of responsiveness is the crux
I was with Regus for 3 years and 7 months at three different centres. Started with virtual office, then moved to a serviced office.
Centre staff seem to be either really good at customer service or just ordinary. I've had some really great centre staff over this time, who were nice people, treated my clients well, treated me well and helped to maintain a nice atmosphere in the centre. They made coming into work a pleasure. They were attentive to the common areas and made sure kitchen etc was kept clean and tidy, no easy task given some peop...Read more
le can be really untidy and selfish. One office I was in had other tenants who routinely cooked an evening meal for their 5-6 staff in the microwave then left their dirty dishes in the sink overnight: not nice for Regus staff or other tenants to come to the next morning. That particular Regus client didn't give a fig for the others in the centre and that can be a problem with centres like Regus (not a Regus issue per se, but something to think about). Pretty much every monthly bill over this period had to be queried, so that's 43 monthly bills. That is, in itself, no easy task as while the centre team send out the bills initially, follow up is done centrally and the email address they use for this purpose bounces back as 'unknown' if you reply to it. I had a set of fixed options, but some months you'd be charged just one month of these, other times two months, with no rhyme or reason as to why this was. Am out of a contract but since February 2017 have been challenging a fee they've billed me for business continuity, not to mention the end of lease 'office restoration' fee. I had four different offices over this period: not one was ever made good before I moved into it. There's a bit of pass the parcel that happens with broken chairs and furniture and your office could be the one where the music stopped!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Avoid Regus at any cost
Regus accounting team is detached from the rest of the organization. Therefore, the invoices come usually incorrect and you have to waste most of your time trying to find someone who can correct the invoice. Before you even know it, there is a chance they will block your account. Finally, don't expect to have your important documents forwarded to your address, they don't care much about that either.
March 28th 2018 Update: Impossible to correct a wrong invoice
The team confessed I was charged more than I should. Ironically, the system doesn't allow them to refund the money or compensate the client. I regret signing up with Regus, it's a nightmare, unless you want to keep fighting all your life. They owe me $3,000!

Be careful of contracts! They will try to make you pay forever
I signed a contract for 1 year. I notified them of not wanting to continue the contract before the end and received no answer. I did this again after the end of the year and still no answer. Eventually I called them after funds continued to come out of the bank and they said it's an automatic renewal. I need to go through hundreds of emails to try and find where I sent it to but do not sign this agreement as I think they will try this again and again. They refused to cancel the contract.
I will now have to cancel my credit card.

Watch out for unfair contract terms
Virtual office services are fine, but wait until you want to cancel...
You'll be auto-renewed 3 months before the end of your term, for another 6/12 months (depending on your contract), with no notice whatsoever, and no opportunity to cancel.
Unless you like being taken for a ride, avoid.

Hi Guys, thanks for the heads up, saves me a lot of heartache. Is this just here in Australia or are their Asian offices just as bad? We have a business partner in the Philippines (Davoa) that we asked to check out his local Regus.

Based on my research they are just as bad globally as they are in Australia.
I’ve felt very aggrieved about my situation with Regus so I’ve done a lot of research on the company. They have an awful reputation in just about any territory you can think of.
Stay away from them.
Their financial department is in Malasia I believe and they are a global company. Their staff cant even get traction with management. I feel this contributed to how hard it was to get anything done. Read the fine print and then decide. That room exit fee is just exhorbitant. I was only there 2 months and they still processed it. I reversed it from my credit card as I was under the impression it kicked in after 3 months. See how we go. Goodluck.

Hi all,
I am looking for shared office space and was considering Regus until I read all these reviews. Thanks so much to all for taking the time to write about it and warn the rest of us! Has anybody tried Genesis offices? They are smaller and have only one location opposite Museum station as far as I can see. Any other shared office recommendations at reasonable prices? We are considering Genesis and Wework Pyrmont at the moment. Any advice or recommendations would be most welcome and appreciated!
Cheers,
Peter

stay clear of at work spaces no matter what you do, do not go there! We are preparing a case against them to get our bond back, as they are illegally holding money. They charge you $3.50 for an email to say you have mail, or someone waiting at the front desk. No maintenance has been done since they took over the property. Management are not helpful. Stay away.
I am currently sharing an office in Wynyard right next to the station. Big desks, lots of space and not too noisy. The Company that leases the desks is Aurora Design.
Good luck!

Hi, we're very unhappy Regus customers, stuck with them because they're refusing let us get out.
Unaware of their bad service, we signed up for a year contract with them on an auto debit of fees. Now after the year, they're not letting us cancel, and keep automatically debiting money.
Would any users on this site know if there is a board or authority we can complain to, anyone who can help us.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

You could go to Fair Trading but if the agreement is B2B they probably won't be much help. Read the fine print of your contract - pretty sure they cannot force you to renew your lease, provided you gave the required amount of notice etc. If you didn't give the required amount of notice, you may be stuck. You may need to seek legal advice - they are an unscrupulous company and an expert will give better advice than you'll get here.
Contact their Area Manager. Craige Marquart. He helped me to terminate my account. If you're on Twitter, send a tweet about your problem and say you wish to contact Craige. To Regus Asia office. Their customer service will reply and you can contact them with details. All the best.
Regus over charged us by $5000 and kept deducting money from my account without my permission. The only way it stopped was by cancelling my credit card and getting a new one. The bank refunded my money within 1 week and are now chasing Regus for fraud. Highly recommend removing your banking dets from their clutches.
