Highway robbery and liars
So back in feb 2015 we went and go a 3 person office in 380 st kilda rd. The price agreed was $1428 per month with a 2 free months at month 1 and month 4. When they sent out the paper work it had the wrong price on the online form. When questioned about it I was told the system had an error with the pricing and that they would have to do a manual agreement. So when we got the manual agreement they changed the price but also they changed the free months to only 1 month at the 1st month. We missed this and signed.
Any way so we moved in and t...Read more
he staff on reception ([name removed]) was awesome. Management on the other hand we never saw and changed a least 5 times in the 12 months we were there. Over the 1st 6 month we found little added fees everywhere. We felt like we were in the tv show come fly with me (https://youtu.Be/idd32nyf1pc) After 2 months they sent us an email saying continue with regus we click the link and it automatically agrees to another 6 months contract. After the 1st 5 months we were not using the office so we asked to downsize to a one person office. Which when I asked when we signed up and is posted all over there marketing documents upsize or downsize at any stage.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The Lease That Wasn't - Thank God!!!
I finally nail down a lease agreement with acceptable terms a week before Easter this year in Southbank, Melbourne. (When I asked for the rates on my first visit, I was told not to waste time now as the "deals are just so good you will be pleasantly surprised". Pffft!) 2 days before Easter I was to come in and sign the lease. I get there (takes me 1 hour) and they tell me my office has mysteriously been taken!!! "But you gave it to me!!!!!!" Apparently, till you officially sign, it's up for grabs. "So why didn't you tell me when I rang this mor...Read more
ning and said I was coming in to sign?" Very odd and highly unbelievable. Anyway, straight after Easter, guess what? It was actually available, the mystery deal fell through!!! Pffft!!!! Lucky me!!! Except now, go figure, it is after Easter so I have to pay the new post-Easter rates which are quite a lot higher! No thanks, found somewhere in Collins St!!!!

Avoid RegusMelbourne
Avoid Regus at all costs - or it will cost you!
What a shame I can't give zero stars! It's been a nightmare to deal with Regus. We have (finally) finished our 12 month lease and I can't wait to be out of here! They've lied about hidden costs (there are loads of them) and tried multiple times to charge us for services we do not receive.
And they're at it again. They are now trying to charge us 'exit fees' that include painting, carpet cleaning, dismantling of IT equipment and telephones, cleaning of IT equipment and telephone and furniture repositioning - all of which sounds reasonable un...Read more
til you realise we've only rented a desk in a shared space. There is no painting required (the walls are wallpaper and no damage has been done to them), the carpet is vacuumed every night and does not require cleaning, we did not have any IT equipment or telephones during our stay here and the desk will not be moved when I leave (it's in a shared space - there's nowhere to move it to). They are charging us for a service that will not be provided. We are going to Fair Trading as hundreds of dollars to literally just wipe down my desk when I leave is obscene. Then of course there's the invoices - you need a degree to be able to decipher them. And if they're correct 2 months in a row well, enjoy it while it lasts. DO NOT rent with Regus...customer service is non-existent and they'll invoice you randomly for services you don't receive or require. Oh and what 'Frustrated' said is true - the kitchen is always dirty (and I don't even know if we're at the same venue!)Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Regus Nightmare !!
If you are even considering looking at coming renting one of their offices I recommend you read these reviews before committing. They certainly know how to talk the talk to get you in and signed up (over-promise) but then you are left wondering if they are the same people afterwards when you see how they perform (under deliver).
Since Regus took over the serviced offices within this building I don't think I have had 2 invoices that have been accurate - and of course, when I say not accurate, I don't mean they have under-charged me!! They are...Read more
constantly overcharging. And because it is direct debit or Credit Card, trying to get your money back on incorrect charges (assuming you pick up the errors of course) is extremely difficult. Add to that the poor service from some (not all) the staff here and the kitchen facilities being constantly dirty with dishes left unwashed for hours on end, and it all points to a very unprofessional environment in which to operate your business. Think really hard - and then look beyond the spin they give you when you are being shown around - before you commit to moving in to these offices.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Regus Parramatta is a joke!! Poor service, bunch of inmature useless staff running it!!
We have had the misfortune of being a Regus customer for 2 years. In this time we have seen so many people come and go. Their managers are just out of nappies and cannot manage themselves let alone the centre. They charge premium yet deliver such poor service.

Beware: bait and switch
I handed over my personal information to this company in exchange for a complimentary Businessworld Gold membership. Within a week of signing up, I received confirmation that my membership request had been processed (provided with number) and informed my card was on the way. I took the time to seek out my local Regus offices and even visited one to familiarise myself with how they work.
Almost a month later came the following email :
"Thank you for your recent application for a Regus Businessworld Gold card.
The application you submitted has been declined as the offer is no longer valid.
We have updated your membership to complimentary Businessworld Blue, which gives you a host of great Regus benefits including:

Disappointing customer service -overpromised, under delivered
We were booked into see the Regus Mount Waverley office. We were told over the phone that there is this office space that exactly matches or requirement and the budget. So we went to see the office that was told to be available, not really for other vacant offices that are not within our budget. Sales staff was good but after a presentation of how good Regus is, we were shown 2 offices that are too pricey and not worth that prices at all. I asked the lady, so where is the office that we were told and she didnt have a clue. Apparently, sales guy...Read more
I spoke with over the phone hasnt updated these important info my budget and I specifically said this is what I am after. I think this is their marketing tactic to tell people over the phone yes we have what you need and then get people to visit their offices and sign them up for higher prices. I emailed the so called management of www.instantoffices.com and their response was during the 4 days period between my call and appointment they may have already leased that officespace. seriously? why wouldnt you cancel the appointment then? some big customer courtesy issues there. Dont fall for their sales tactics. Ask specifically in writing what you get to see is just their fantastic building but what you want for your budget and needs.Otherwise you are just wasting your precious time that you can put on growing your business.Similar opinion? Absolute garbage
I used Regus for a month as I was waiting for the fit out to be completed on a new office. The last invoice I received from them was for previously undisclosed "exit fees" that somehow amounted to the exact retainer deposit I made. This retainer deposit was supposed to be returned at the end of the month, however was chewed up by random fees that were not disclosed when signing with them.
In summary, hidden fees and terrible service. Would rather work out of a trash can then in one of their offices.

They have hidden ways to empty your pockets.
Is there negative star rating? I have had a phone and address with them for 3 years. I dont have any mail or phone call in 3 years but was keeping it due to some reason. Then suddenly got an email with a lot of charges because my credit card expired etc. I said you have not ring me. They said we have called (though i never got one). When I asked to close the office the expense to close office exceed $1000. Yes it is more than a grand. You must be aware of them. It is better to stay away from them.

Think Tank was noisy, errors & excuses by customer service, invoice/accounts system broken!
Started a new business & decided to use Regus to make it look more professional. Viewed 2 locations, decided on 135 King Street, Sydney. Was all excited, got my desk, etc. Within a week or so, got problems with invoice. Signed up with credit card & expected it to be charged. Got email reminders chasing for payment. Asked centre staff to check. Finally charged but statements still show as owing. Other invoices were wrong, overcharges or omissions. Asked to fix, got credit but amount was wrong. Poor customer service or lack of training. Don't pay...Read more
attention to details. My account is small, my invoice only 3 items yet still got it wrong! What about bigger accounts? If people are too busy to check if invoice is ok? Their invoicing/accounts system is broken. Used it 1.5yrs ago, still same issues. No change. Luxemborg, Sydney & AsiaPac accounts don't talk to each other. Weird timing of invoices, invoiced in advance for next month, then charged around 20th of next month. Very confusing. Payment made not shown in statement after 30days & keep chasing for payment! No check in system to update account for payment. Customer service gave excuse statement produced & payment not shown. Please give credit for customers knowing how it should work. On credit card statement, no invoice# shown to see which one paid. 2nd month same problem, finally got Customer service RegusAsia to help. Area Director to help sort out. Waste of his time when local staff should get it right. RegusAsia & Area Director apologised but silence from local team. Seems they don't value my business. Think Tank is poor product. People who use Think Pods pay only $99/month, I pay like 5x more. Too noisy, no privacy since top is open, it's really a cubicle with a door. People can hear you talking, I can hear people talking at reception & pods. Wasted so much time on this issue!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Beware of over-charging - and get a lawyer to read the contract before you sign
Rented office from Regus in Sydney CBD. Great building, prestige location. But they moved floor and all tenants had to move down from level 39 to level 13. No compensation! They had the temerity to charge us a fee as we left their clutches. They lawyers have drafted excellent contracts - for Regus' benefit. If you need an office for 2 years plus it is much better to sub-lease from another tenant. Takes a little more time - but well worth it in mid-longer term
Great buildings, prestige address
Read the contract and watch out for charges on your invoices

Best selling & worst servicing!
I have made my complaints about Regus twice to the Department of Fair Trading. They deducted my credit card by mistake. After they issued the credit note to me, they just kept ignoring my requests for the refund. After the contract was terminated, they just kept delaying to release the deposit. To deal with this company, you need to be very careful to read all the terms and conditions when you sign the agreement.

Read the fine print, expect extra fees
I rented an office at Regus, Macquarie House in Sydney.
The quotations which Regus provides are not indicative of what you will pay. The fine print in the contract mentions fees and charges (business continuation fee, office restoration fee etc..) which will not be mentioned to you by the sales staff and whose amounts will not be disclosed to you before signing the contract (if you do not specifically ask). Note that this was not disclosed to me even when I asked "are there any other fees or charges on this contract".
Note also that the ...Read more
"House Rules", where the amounts are supposedly disclosed, will not be provided to you prior to signing the contract unless you specifically ask for that document. Being short of time, I then signed the contract online without reading the fine print. More fool me - but Regus of course knows and fully expects that many of us do this. If you search "business continuation fee Regus" you will see that this is a practise which Regus uses worldwide and which many angry tenants have fallen for. You will also find posts from ex-Regus staff, disclosing the practises that go on in the group.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Vague, Dishonest & Poor Customer Service
We signed a 3 month contract for a virtual office at Regus's King Street location. We couldn't fault them until the time came to terminate our office listing. Beware: Regus will auto renew your contract with them without making this clear to clients upon sign up. Further, they require 2 months notice before cancelling your agreement with them. We had to pay for 6 months when we only intended on paying for 3. I would not recommend them to anyone. Know what you are getting yourself into with them Before you sign up. I am a paying the price for their vagueness and lack of honesty and transparency!
Mail forwarding - thats it!

Worst Management Imaginable
I bought a three month package at a premium for a virtual office in every state except Sydney - but dealt with the sales team in Sydney. I made it very clear that I only required the virtual offices for three months. There response "That's fine, that is why you pay a premium." Sure enough at the end of the three months, the contract rolled over. I tried to contact the sales person and nobody would get back to me. I wrote emails and noone would come back to me. Eventually I spoke to one of the offices in another state and they told me that...Read more
if I didn't want the contract to roll over then on the day I signed up I needed to supply them with a termination notice on the same day. When you buy the package on the internet you have a choice of a three month contract at a premium price or a 12 month contract at a lesser price. I bought the three month contract. They have now rolled it over for a third time at the premium price. I have now had to cancel my card so they can no longer take the money. If though I have complained to numerous people and put my cancellation in writing, they were still billing the money. It should be illegal for them to advertise a three month contract at a premium price if they are going to roll over the contract if you don't terminate on the same day you sign the contract. Small print was there but that is not really the point. The point is I bought the three month contract at a premium making it very clear I only needed it for three months. At no time during my conversation with their sales people did they tell me that if I only needed it for three months I had to terminate the same day as I signed up. In the past I have had problems with them double dipping on my credit card and then saying they would carry it over to the next month. They are impossible to reach either by phone or email and I would never have anything to do with them again and I would advise others to do the same. Do not hand over your credit card details. The only way of stopping them from taking your money is to cancel your card and really, that is more hard work for you. Has caused a huge waste of time trying to terminate services. Hours of emails and phone calls and still they have not terminated the contract. They just ignore correspondence.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Hi Guys, thanks for the heads up, saves me a lot of heartache. Is this just here in Australia or are their Asian offices just as bad? We have a business partner in the Philippines (Davoa) that we asked to check out his local Regus.

Based on my research they are just as bad globally as they are in Australia.
I’ve felt very aggrieved about my situation with Regus so I’ve done a lot of research on the company. They have an awful reputation in just about any territory you can think of.
Stay away from them.
Their financial department is in Malasia I believe and they are a global company. Their staff cant even get traction with management. I feel this contributed to how hard it was to get anything done. Read the fine print and then decide. That room exit fee is just exhorbitant. I was only there 2 months and they still processed it. I reversed it from my credit card as I was under the impression it kicked in after 3 months. See how we go. Goodluck.

Hi all,
I am looking for shared office space and was considering Regus until I read all these reviews. Thanks so much to all for taking the time to write about it and warn the rest of us! Has anybody tried Genesis offices? They are smaller and have only one location opposite Museum station as far as I can see. Any other shared office recommendations at reasonable prices? We are considering Genesis and Wework Pyrmont at the moment. Any advice or recommendations would be most welcome and appreciated!
Cheers,
Peter

stay clear of at work spaces no matter what you do, do not go there! We are preparing a case against them to get our bond back, as they are illegally holding money. They charge you $3.50 for an email to say you have mail, or someone waiting at the front desk. No maintenance has been done since they took over the property. Management are not helpful. Stay away.
I am currently sharing an office in Wynyard right next to the station. Big desks, lots of space and not too noisy. The Company that leases the desks is Aurora Design.
Good luck!

Hi, we're very unhappy Regus customers, stuck with them because they're refusing let us get out.
Unaware of their bad service, we signed up for a year contract with them on an auto debit of fees. Now after the year, they're not letting us cancel, and keep automatically debiting money.
Would any users on this site know if there is a board or authority we can complain to, anyone who can help us.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

You could go to Fair Trading but if the agreement is B2B they probably won't be much help. Read the fine print of your contract - pretty sure they cannot force you to renew your lease, provided you gave the required amount of notice etc. If you didn't give the required amount of notice, you may be stuck. You may need to seek legal advice - they are an unscrupulous company and an expert will give better advice than you'll get here.
Contact their Area Manager. Craige Marquart. He helped me to terminate my account. If you're on Twitter, send a tweet about your problem and say you wish to contact Craige. To Regus Asia office. Their customer service will reply and you can contact them with details. All the best.
Regus over charged us by $5000 and kept deducting money from my account without my permission. The only way it stopped was by cancelling my credit card and getting a new one. The bank refunded my money within 1 week and are now chasing Regus for fraud. Highly recommend removing your banking dets from their clutches.
