The filter light keeps flashing ... we clean the filter, replace it and after a short time, the light flashes again. Any ideas?? We recently moved into the house so not sure of the history of cleaning by the previous owners.

We currently have an old Vulcan Quasar 40 wall furnace that is about 30 years old and goes ok but it might be time to replace it. Would a 559FT be ok to replace it. It should cover the same area which is about 50-60 m2. Would getting the old one out and having the wall rebuilt be an too big an issue?
Would it be cheaper to run and be a suitable replacement?
Cheers,
Dennis

Hello,

We have had a Rinnai RHFE 556FTR heater for a while and recently we were told that we had to decommission it because there was a recall on this model. To substantiate that claim, the company that told us that, provided the following link: https://www.rinnai.us/support/recalls

The information provided at that link refers to RHFE 556FTR heaters manufactured in the US. Does this recall apply to RHFE 556FTR heaters in Australia? Especially since the unit we have is made in Japan and prior to 2000.

Thank you.
Chris

I purchased the 1005FT Model and while it heats effectively I find it to be quite loud. I would be interested to know if this is a common issue and whether there is a solution.
