Heaters Buying Guide
Our buying guide will explain which type of heater would suit you most, how much you can expect to pay for one, and which features are worth looking out for.
Heater ok, but!
I had my heater replaced with the Rinnai Spectrum 28. Looks great, easy to use BUT the fan only has High or Low speeds, I cannot put it on the speed I would like. Would be better if it had all 3 speeds. I think I would be much happier if it was automatic for low and adjustable for others. At the moment it seems the air from the fan being on high blows any heat away.

Great Heater, user friendly and effective But But
I recently acquired a Rinnai Spectrum Space Heater, while I was very satisfied with the efficiency, I am very disappointed with the construction, the metal construction is very inferior ( extremely thin gauge) so much so when turning the unit off there are peculiar noises coming from the unit being contraction, quite scary, I removed the unit and added more screws to secure flimsy sheet metal construction.

Rinnai Spectrum 28
So far so good, Very easy to use and quite intelligent. Fan comes on to the speed depending on which setting you use, and after you turn it off, the fan continues to cool the unit down then stops. I haven't got a gas bill yet, but even on the low setting keeps quite warm and toasty so no complaints yet. It is a 2 star

Thank you Peter for your enquiry Has the heater been serviced recently? We do recommend with any gas heater that they are cleaned and serviced every 2 years to ensure optimum safety and performance. A booking can be made online here:
